All the things he did can be done by any second division footballer separately. His passes are simple; not like those beckham, totti, scholes, xabi alonso passes that go through 9 people from 80 meters while curving beautifullly then suddenly stopping in front of receiver; even in long distances they are safe passes with a litttle curve and mostly not very high up in the air. He shoots when it is safe to shoot and they are not beckham, fido, del piero shoots like super accurate or van persie, rooney, scholes, zidane shoots from incredible angles; no they are just safe shoots that are mostly accurate. His 1 on 1 moves (sometimes 1 on 7 :) is his strongest individual quality but even they are also simple when you think them separately, he is not using super speed or incredible skill moves like ronaldo and ronaldinho. He pulls the ball right and left. How he does them is not something that can be expressed through words. He played safe. He had ferrari engine and drove it like fiat (as zlatan stated in his frustration with guardiola). He didn't get injured for a long time, he played well above everyone else consistently for so much of a long time that i do not believe anyone ever in history performed his/her profession better and consistently ever.
