Anyone that has played football and/or watched football to a good knowledgeable level knows how difficult it is to pull of certain first touches, shielding, awareness of the opponents press, pass accuracy, create space or use the little space there is. All these things added up to unlock even the toughest of defences. It's actually more of a science/maths than an art. It's beautiful.

If opponent teams play with the very-high defend-block and make high-pressure ( like prime Klopp'sLiverpool), i think tiki-taka will be not effective like this. Now so many many teams can play high-press at every European top leagues. Pep is not stupid man. But now he known that tiki taca will not work anymore. So he didn't try it anymore at Man City.

People say tiki-tata is not effective anymore ... NO the new players can't play high level tiki-taka. You need players that can actually do it or ... is not going to work

@@BarcaStudio Yes, they need to be good in tight spaces , positioning and able to handle one on one situations / one on 2 , one on 3/ like it's not a big deal... you can't find easily that kind of players. Probably one in a life time team
Tiki- taca is trully not effective anymore because the rising of high-pressure trend (since 2016)
All team in this time took the wrong way to play against tiki taca : sit back too deep and passivity waiting.
If opponent teams play with the very-high defend-block and make high-pressure ( like prime Klopp'sLiverpool), i think tiki-taka will be not effective like this.
Now so many many teams can play high-press at every European top leagues. Pep is not stupid man. But now he known that tiki taca will not work anymore. So he didn't try it anymore at Man City.
@@anyaforger6723 I appreciate your take but I don't think so. Technical players can break pressure ease. May be for few minutes till the team gets tired , they may have some success. Tiki-taka masters will pass you to death and control the game even easier if you try to waist your energy. This is the reason they parked the bus vs chasing the wind. Typical example was the final in London vs Man. United / 3:1 for Barca/. United tried to press but it lasted 15-20 minutes and they were DONE .
