You didn’t understand the meaning that scene? Optimus was checking whether Sentinel could now be trusted or not. Since Sentinel did not behave very friendly at the base when he was revived. By abandoning the Matrix, Sentinel earned Optimus' trust.

Then waking up on an unknown planet, being told the planet was lost, then an alien race immediately desires your invention made as a method of transportation to wage war against themselves.
This kinda IS shattered glass because in the end; Optimus was wrong. Both Megatron & Sentinel Prime knew Cybertron was the 1%. They'd never go along with the autobots in protecting ants that can kill you in your sleep.
