      Hi pal. 178. But the guy I purchased this bike from much taller than me. And he switched to Vespa :). My advice - always go and try the bike yourself. Nobody will tell you if it's good for you or not. Only your posture on every particular bike, your overall look and feel on it. I've tried the new V7 recently (2021 model) and it appeared to be lower than mine significantly.

      The average permanent white marker from the Müller store painting section. In a few months the letters don't look as white but still okay.

      No, you don't need to change anything. They fit plug&play. The only thing required is a twice shorter bolt than the original one for the left mirror. I have no idea why, but i could not fully screw in the original one because it turned to be too long.

    Hey how do you remove db killer? Just pulling? I tried before but it seems to be tough, should i pull tougher?

    • @LiveinLens
      @LiveinLens  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It is held in place by a single bolt that can be unscrewed with a hex. After the bolt is unscrewed, the db killer just needs to be pulled out. If you haven't done this once with new pipes, it can be difficult to pull out because it burns to the pipes over time. In other words - nothing holds it there only the bolt and a possible hitch from burning. Pull harder, try to wobble left to right a little.

    • @LiveinLens

    • @LiveinLens
      @LiveinLens  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@greensun2153 Frankly speaking - I have no idea. I've just passed successfully the state inspection with these pipes. No questions asked except for the certificate of conformity which comes with the pipes from the producer. These pipes are not aggressive at all (and I know what aggressive are). They just produce a more reach and lovely sound either with or w/o db killers.

    Did you have to remap ecu?

    • @LiveinLens
      @LiveinLens  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      According to official clarifications received from Mistral remapping is not required if you only install the pipes and nothing above that. However, the remapping is highly recommended if you decide to install a sports air filter together with the pipes to avoid lean fuel problems. I only changed the pipes and did no remapping. Rode 3,5k with these beauties on and had no problems.

    • @jeholloway2
      @jeholloway2 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ok they sound great. I’ll have to find a mistral dealer in Florida to buy and install on 2020 V7 lll Special.

    • @LiveinLens
      @LiveinLens  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jeholloway2 Mistral is pretty active on Instagram. If you DM them with any questions you're likely to receive quick answers. Also worth checking the Florida state law on exhaust dB limitations if any. You might have some extra luck if it allows using the pipes w/o dB killers. Not the case for me in Austria, but I've heard some stories from the folks from the south that their states have no limitations at all.

    • @jeholloway2
      @jeholloway2 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We don’t have any noise restrictions however I just want a decent low bass rumble. I’ll look up Mistral on Instagram. Surprised at how expensive slip ons are.

    • @LiveinLens
      @LiveinLens  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jeholloway2 How much are they in the US? I've paid something like 620 Euros - about 720$. There are cheaper ones, but they are all crap. You'll never regret this purchase, I'm sure. All my regrets have been gone after the first ride. If you can use them w/o dB killers legally it's a blessing we don't have here in Europe. At the same time long rides can be annoying - your ears will hurt a few minutes after if you ride w/o them.

    • @LiveinLens
      @LiveinLens  ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers, pal! I’ve discussed this matter with Mistral guys. They told me that nothing needs to be done when riding either with or w/o dB killers. However, they strongly recommend remapping the engine if you add a sport air filter to the setup. That’s where the lean fuel problem kicks in.
