yo RCE just a heads up the seed mill produces 1 seed for every 0.5 to 1 weight, so at 1.5 a tomato gives 2 seeds and a 2.5 will start giving 3 seeds additionally a sprinkler will be great depending on pressure they can hit a good area about 5x5 to 7x7 I've hit (the space the pipeline runs counts as 1 so 2 to 3 tills out from the pipe with the trowel.) so 10 seeds of each seed is more than enough for the requests just mill 5 size 1.5 fruit or veg to get 10 seeds & chop the rest, too bad there's no option to sort by weight.
This might be something added later, but you can also feed a veggie through a logic saw set to 1, and then get TWO veggies.. a 1.0 veggie and the remainder, which is anything from 0.01 to 1.0. A 0.01 veggie will still give 1 seed. Even more complex, you could use a weight sensor to detect anything >= 0.5 ( which reads as 1) and thus only filter out 0.01 to 0.5 veggies, though I think you need to use a magnet for that to work. (No vanilla logic splitter, sadly)
Also, sprinklers are endgame stuff.. they are ludicriously expensive.. The cheap way is to just add some timer logic to a logic valve, set to a few minutes, and use regular pipe drips.
@@SeedlingNL admittedly yes you can saw the veggies down to 1.0 on the table saw THEN use the hand saw to Cut them in to 0.5 & get EVEN MORE seeds its nuts
If you form a cage out of dirt, you can push all the people into it, with the roller. Then you won’t have to run around like a mad man searching for quest. They will all be in one place.😂

For the automation you could use an even splitter type conveyor (if you can find one), it would mean that 50% of crops are kept whilst the other 50% become seeds (the crops that remain could always be manually seedified)
The new update seems extremely grindy and not well designed economy wise. Fun to see, but they really need to tweak prices or the amount that harvesting gives you.
they should have a planting piece and make the tractor way more expensive to get people to automate it. Plus something to read orders and release chopped veggies onto a conveyer in measured amounts. I want to see food production reach the point of farm to table no human interaction!
Its quite a bit less grindy than it seems, someone mentioned elsewhere that the seeds and some other things can actually be bowt with both twid and cwid. So yea, RCE sadly did all this extra work that wasnt needed and made it much more grindy than it shudve been
Have you ever grown your own crops for yourself or for profit? It can be extremely grindy and not well designed economy wise IRL. Game seems accurate lol

You don’t need to replace the plants like tomatoes they eventually grow more
Carrots can get stuck on the seed mill and the basket in the shop can hold and dump seeds/harvested things which could be super useful. Unfortunately the only automated reseeding comes from using the Hydrocropper.

The devs are great. That put out a patch to fix a lot of the frustration. They're awesome and very active in the discord.

if you put two flip flops in series it'll halve the frequency your magnets run at. Might let the tomatoes move more each cycle.

You can use the harvester to harvest and plant at the same time then you can build the automation around that, because it has a handy dandy unload feature that makes it easy as

This game is so fun, the only annoying thing is the lack of an inventory.
vegetable size is random, it doesn,t depend on how long they grow

The sprinklers were C2.1k, you could easily bypass the system by selling some stuff
You don't need to destroy the plants each time, they regrow, because they're plants
I say focus on Automation, then you can get money for the Vheical, then make a Bridge

Automation of course. With automatic plant growing, chopping and storing u will be able to focus on making soup and planting, so you can grind the tokens faster.
Can you "tilt" the top-magnets and off-set them by one/half grid to help the veggies along the belt in a bit smoother fashion?

Having one line to automate generation of seeds and a separate line that is for soup would be cool. You probably should not just spam the magnets though, You get more seeds the longer the produce sits on the plant.

Great video yet again! Based on you playing all these building games with some automation in them I think you'd like the game Satisfactory. You can build some really realistic stuff, including bridges! It'd be pretty cool to see what you come up with in that game, but if you're not interested just keep on with these games you already play. It's great fun to watch you build things in any game.

If you have a clock putting out 1/0, why do you have a inverter? doesn't it already cycle on and off from the clock itself without the need of the inverter?

put the magnets above the plants, then put some of the magnets on the side, at the same level as the belts then you can lift the food off the plants then pull it over to the belts. your way works too but it requires a lot of digging.

i think i found a slight bug with the seeder. if you use a magnet on a stick to put the tomatos inside with ought releasing the tomatos, you can get more seeds than the tomatos you put in
There's a game literally called Space Engineer. It requires as the name implies engineering. SE 1 is a sandbox game that has a game engine simulating realistic physics for space and planets. SE2 is in development and the developers are saying they want a game with a upgrade tree and a goal in SE2. A bunch of stuff to look forward to with SE2. First I'll talk about SE1 which you can use to wage war on the enemy that is the Ravagers or you can trade. But beware of running out of hydrogen. In game you start with a drop pod and a full jet pack. If you fly recklessly and run out of hydrogen (jetpack fuel + other stuff fuel) during flight you might (probably will) die. But if you saved the only thing lost is your inventory. Mark the coordinates of your base and explore for resources to use to build in pursuit of R&D and better builds leading eventually to space. Watch Captain Jack's youtube Space Engeneers content to get an idea for what's possible. Almost everything Jack does is modded so keep that in mind.

Just build a conveyor to get all those gold bars closer to your farming area, and you can buy all the onion seeds you want... unless they made it impossible to build a conveyor across that terrain.
On the one hand, Farm-to-Fork cuisine is a thing. On the other hand, I'm not sure I'd want to go to a restaurant that literally chops it's vegetables on the floor of the field where they were grown.
But at least it probably gives you a lot of vitamin b12 lol

Onions in reality are biennial plants; i.e. the first year, the seed grows into a bulb, and the second year, the bulb produces flowers and seeds.

Seeds are the same as fruit weight... you might end up with a seedbag that's got 1.1, or 1.4...
Throw in a few fruit and you can get extra seeds that way.
Automation of course if you expand your money creation you can buy it sooner

I hope they add fertilizers (Maybe made out of crystals or minerals) or something else which makes farming quicker and/or gives a better yield. I think it'd also be cool to have genetically modified food, basically regular food but grows faster and yields more, also maybe having to spray regular foods to stop bugs or something...
