- The Sig P365 has been a staple in the concealed carry market since first released! Over the years the P365 has taken many variations including the 365, 365x, 365xl, and Sig 365 X-Macro. Now the latest variation is the Sig P365 AXG Legion. Sporting a metal frame, X10 grips, and a flared magwell this pistol comes with the Legion Badge. But....is it worthy of the Legion status for a concealed carry pistol??

I pretty much made my own. I added a icarus precision ace hybrid pro grip module to my xl. Added a zaffirri precision threaded barrel and a herrington arms comp. Went to the range last weekend and it was a total game changer

I have the Icarus grip for my XL. Like it much better than standard grip! Haven’t shot the Macro but would like to feel if there is much difference with the “compensator” slots.
You did it right. You got exactly what you want. The only "Mod" that does not work for me is a flared mag well. I am thin & print very easy. Yake care.
YES. The trigger is why I traded my P365 for a Reflex. And Glock 19X for a P229 Legion. These striker triggers don’t have to be that bad. Helpful video as always.

These things are sweet. All metal guns always scratch my itch. Thank you for mentioning the holster differences. Do you plan on offering a kydex holster option that supports a TLR7a for this gun?
Yes sir we do. The non light bearing will be later this week, and the light bearing holsters for it will probably be 2-3 weeks

I think the point is different options. I have the p365 two xl’s one with Icarus grip and now legion the grip on legion feels perfect for my medium size hands

I think looking at market people are moving toward a smaller footprint of a full-size capable gun. I dont look at this as a carry conceal only if I can wear OSW with winter clothes. I feel they need to rework the safety on this gun so you can refine the trigger. My CCW is the XL.

If you are wanting a trigger safety dingus on a 365. Tyrant cnc makes a quality one in several colors. Plan on putting on my macro.

I was planning on picking this one up, but I just changed the grip module on my regular X-Macro to a Wilson Combat and it feels much better and did not have to buy a new holster.

I bought a Sig Sauer P365 "Custom Works" 12 round, (Gold trigger & barrel). I lucked out and got it for 1,100= Total cost. Now if you can get your hands on one they are running, with all charges about 1,900-2,000. I love it light, no break in period-No upgrades required. I see these are about 1,100.00. In my opinion, I came out better with the "Custom Works). The trigger has a clean break. not "Mushy" at all. The trigger is like the FCU units that can be purchased for-I think 340.00??-Great video, Thank you-God bless.

if you already have an X-Macro, take a look at Mischief Machine aluminum p365 lower modules
I feared this would be the case. I carry a MACRO Tacops and took the mag well flare off. Something no one is either talking about or aware of is because of the recessed barrel and slide vents on the standard MACRO the direction of expelled gases at the muzzle cause the bullet trajectory to rise. The bullet at 45-50 yards will hit 12-15 inches high. Not noticeable until you get to about 20 yards and beyond.

I carry the SAS ported version, bone stock, every day. That, in my humble opinion, is what the P365 should be. Tiny, concealable & fierce. My backup magazine(s) are the extended grip 12 round with MagGuts 14 round kits installed. The one in the gun is a stock 10 round flush. Because the thing is supposed to be tiny and invisible.
See these dudes who have built them up so they're as large as a P320 or a Glock 19. That's absurd. Just get that to begin with. They're better out of the box because they have more room/mass to begin with. And cost less.

I agree sir. The AXG legion is a nice pistol, but just not what I think the 365 series should be for the concealed carry market.

Great review. It think it pretty much comes down to whether you like to feel of the metal grip module v plastic. If you do and can pick up this gun at the MSRP ($1200), I think it is a decent buy. The alternative is to buy an X Macro Comp at $800 and add a grip module for $400 (if you can find one) and you're at the same price point.
BTW, I went to find an IWB Light Bearing holster for this gun on your website and it wasn't an option....
We just released the regular holsters for it. It is so new we just have not had time to engineer the light bearing ones yet. Should be 2-3 weeks
I want them to make this in a non-comp version with the 3.7-inch barrel. I have both in non-Legion and prefer the 3.7 non-comp version (TacOps variant).

For a carry gun, I would go with the Sig 365 Legion
I'll continue to carry my 365 x macro TACOPS. It's the best of the plastic fantastics for my off duty carry needs.

Yeah I will just save $400 and have the X macro that is way more suited for concealed carry personally. Hard to swallow paying for “ features “ that don’t benefit a carry gun

Lag tactical, like a glove. I started with a Vedder holster concealed carrying doing construction work. It lasted about four months then I got the Icarus precision lower with a LAG holster and have been carrying it on construction sites for over a year and it’s still in perfect shape. I got one of the earlier model grips from Icarus and it’s a little slippery also tlr 7 and 507K
Practical and insightful review. All the cons you mentioned are valid. I agree with you on the trigger.
The p365 trigger is mushier than it needs to be for such an expensive pistol. I also don’t shoot these guns particularly well at the range.
I don’t know why.
But l would never carry one forest reason. My wife has a dog rose and she’s more accurate with it than as it’s her gun.
But l was looking forward to another unbiased review on this gun and you provided it.

Yeah to me I think the metal grip is not as good as original on this pistol. Just personal preference I guess 🤷♂️

Factory Sig striker triggers suck. You would hope the Legion would be better, but typically they are not. I picked up a 365 Legion yesterday. I like it, but so far I would not say it is worth $1200. I like the AXG grip frame, and as a lefty since it is not an ambi slide release, at least I do appreciate it is extended. I may remove the magwell, I like it for reloads, but as you say you give up some concealment. One thing you have noticed, it fits tight in Macro holsters. Right now I am running it out of a Muddy River MC9 holster until I get a new one.

Yes, 100%...I have this pistol and the trigger is crap. I regret buying this pistol because the trigger sucks ass.
No one has any in stock. Why would Sig release a gun that you can’t buy. Crazy as hell.

I'd really like to have the Legion, but as usual SIG has priced these about $200 more than they should be. If they eventually are on sale for $150 less, I'd probably want one.

My wife carries a 365XL. I see the 365 Macro Legion as a woman’s range gun. Smaller grip, and a little heavier. Can train with the same mags.
Yeah I agree it’s more of a range pistol than concealed carry suited in my opinion. Only issue is it doesn’t shoot any better than regular X macro so that’s hard to stomach price even for range gun

There is a trigger job that you can do to the cig that makes it super crisp like the p 226 or the p229

@@muddyrivertactical yeah anything that's top of the line for sig should have the trigger that is in the 226 legion because it is very crispy I've got mine in my 365x macro with the comp slide and that thing is super crispy like I cooked it for about 15 hours crispy and very there's no mush and as soon as it as soon as I reset the trigger it's like barely anything and it's back so try that out you might like it and I'm telling everybody that has sex to switch to that trigger but yeah the 226 legion and the 229 legion has the crispy trigger on it already and they should put that on every legion that comes out I don't know why sig likes to have the mushy trigger and everything that I've ever owned and I'm a big sig person and I've always changed the trigger
