Man there are sure going to be some good sounding radios on SSB 11 meters!! Thank you for sending out CLEAN RADIOS! I’ve seen some other guys getting 200 watts out of some of these radios. The Stryker 955+ being one of them. I didn’t see any scope on that radio but can imagine it’s not clean, and will be on channel 6 or 28 talking on 4 channels each way of the actual freq!!! Again thx for making some clean radios. Need to send you my icom 746 for an alignment!!!
200 Watts is not possible in the world I live in. There will be no noticeable gain from the output of the radio until you reach the 400 watt mark. Anything in between is just for the power hungry operators that love to watch the meter. It's pretty clean at 100 watts though. With the right alignment that is.
Nice to see clean radios being sold for 11 meter CB band. I am hearing many anytone style radios on 11 meters now. Sounding real good. Getting ready for cold and snow in NY ! Just a weather storm watch for now. I just fixed a 15 amp supply that has nice big heatsink on back. Would run them QT 60 and QT 80 radios real nice . It runs a stryker 955 just fine. Just a breaker replacement. It cracked and went open. China made one. I put a UL listed one in . was bigger but fit just fine. Added a MOV on transformer primary. Just a China made knock off of a Astron one. Surprised on big heatsink on back and 2N3771 transistors , Is a 723 reg ic. No meters just power led and on/off switch. transformer is decent size. Filter caps could use improvement but works fine . Being only radio is on supply . it runs it just fine but rather have a 20 amp amp one or bigger on a radio like a 955 or QT 80 . 73
