Wow ! Had never seen/known that actress, Susan Ashton Ashton, was an Incredible Singer ! Fabulous ! Grew up listening to Oscar Peterson from my Jazz-singing Mother, Janice M. Dyson Paxton's reel-to-reels ❤❤❤❤❤
Wow, ok, Oscar is super, that's all known. But: I didn't know her and was wondering, how can you be so beautiful and sing so amazingly good? That's almost unfair. And to that time, we know, everything was real!
Wow! Had she been born 20 years earlier she could have/maybe would have had a career as a one of the great singers of the American Songbook. Such a shame that amazing era has long past.
Thank you for posting, very fine and interesting. By the way, do you have videos or just a sound recording of Oscar's appearances on TV in the 19Seventies maybe on the big festivals in USA or Europe, I'm looking for a concert broadcasted with Joe Pass, where he played a duo version of Stella by starlight, that was imho better than the version on the Paris LP of that duo with Pass, and before he played two equally fascinating solo pieces (his Mirage and Who can I turn to). Maybe those three pieces were the only ones broadcasted of Peterson and Pass, could also be that the TV choosed only them from a bigger program. It was in the german TV and I recorded it in bad quality in my teenager days, around 1975. Thanks in advance, warm greetings!
Gosh! How did I get to 85 without hearing this great voice before? And with Oscar Peterson! Sheer magic.
Wow! I didn't know Susan could sing like that! Oscar is magic on the piano!!!
Susan, there are billions who love the way Oscar plays.
But now there are billions who love the way you sing.
Merci.
Oh, wow, incredible, great, these two talents complement each other wonderfully, it's a pleasure to listen, every second! ❤

Wow. Oscar Peterson's playing is usually so overwhelming that I didn't know he could actually subdue it and make a wonderful accompanist too.
There's a lost video of Oscar with The Singers Unlimited in Berlin in the 70´s, can you help me find it?
Wow what a woman! Susan, don't be sad with the rainy day.
Our best jazz player
