Jim is an old school guy who hangs with a Millenial. I don’t know how he does it. Jim’s from the Viet Nam war gen. Those guys don’t parse phrase. I love the guy, don’t worry, Jim, my wife and I feel the same way you and yours do. God bless you me boyo! ❤
We had a saying in the naval aviation community "that it takes 30,000 screws and bolts to hold an aircraft together and 1 nut to destroy the whole thing." Lost tools and hardware can be catastrophic.
Jim is a STAPLE to your farm operation. He is a quiet guy in the background but makes a huge statement with just his appearance 👍. Looks like a good person to have around.
Hey Jim I used to work at a diesel garage and that happened daily but the best one I seen is we all went for morning break at 10am and the oldest most experienced tech left the oil nozzle in the fill hole running. Well let’s say it filled entire engine up with oil and then over spilled of course. So don’t feel bad about a little used oil on the cement it’ll clean up.
I was crusing around on Google Earth and hovered over Lowery. I saw MN Auto Auctions. I clicked on the lable for their business and there is your Brown and White Chevy truck. 🚘🚘
Wow. Machinery/technology evolves guickly with your equipment. It always fascinates me on what it takes for product to get to market. Thanks for sharing your life with us. J.Au-en
Showed that Honey Bee header to my spouse who cut wheat with a 960 Case and 12 foot header. Her comment was holy quacamole it would take an engineering degree to run that combination. By the way you can't fire Jim, the channel would have a rebellion. It isn't harvest time without an oil mess.
Brake parts fluid will take the motor oil out of concrete spray it on it then use a paper towels to wipe it up Use brake fluid in red can not the green red is stronger than green
I am always impressed with the size of those machines. Comparing them to when I was young seventy something years ago they are giants. Would love to see them in person and be in one while in action. Wishful thinking because that time has passed me by at 81 years old. Really enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work.
Goes right from harvest to your bank account to seeds for next year and upkeep and toys for you and your son and the rest of your familty and rinse and repeat! Very interesting vlog and thank you for sharing!
20v DeWalt drill through the combine makes some noise and the lithium battery cells light the field on fire when they hit the ground. It was an exciting 10 minutes…
Triple R farms in Alabama store their header gathering chains in a bucket of diesel fuel to keep from rusting...lubes as well extending life of chain...just an idea..
My parents still have the farm we just raise cattle on it now, we had a Gleaner A combine that we cut wheat with years ago.. every winter we would pull out the combine from the lean- to shed and run it to get the mice and sometime a raccoon out.. This time we heard a different noise and out of the back came ten to twenty old time glass bottles like for medicine and other chemical bottles…. This was the workings of pack rats and the only place that had those bottles was at least 1/4 mile to the north at a old house foundation…. It still amazes me how they carried those slick bottles all that way and up inside our combine…😮 Just had to share!!!
When you are on Millennial Farmer and talking about Between the Rows and racing and you say you are waiting for a header to show up before you leave causes a little laughter when I know you had a broken header on the race car. Haha. Good one.
Little trick I learned in the army for cleaning dirty oil stains off of concrete: Get as much wiped off that you can, then on the stain sprinkle white gas (naptha) which you can get from camping supply stores (its used in white gas Coleman stoves), then light it on fire and let it burn the oil stain out of the concrete. Repeat as necessarry until the stain has faded clean. BE CAREFUL for god's sake! as it is a hazard.
8:35 My eye happened to catch something near the upper left corner of your rear window. I thought it was something on my phone screen so I tried to wipe it away. However, it did not move and because I'm not always the brightest crayon in the box, I tried again. And again. And like 5 or 6 total times before I finally realized it was on your window, not my phone screen. I hope this makes you laugh as much as it made me laugh once I realized... Lol! 🤣😂🤣😂
It’s incredible that you can use a 45 foot header on a 980, here in southern Sweden our maximum is 35 foot header sometimes when the straw is heavy we have to use a 30 foot. To use a 45 foot here we have to use an X9 1100. 😂
You do a very good job at explaining things, I'm new to farming and I also play farming simulator 22 and I try to get all the equipment that you have and try to do same same senerios while I play lol I love your dogs too , Good Job
Sure was a quick way to get rid of all those used roof sheets but with a little bit more time could of sold them for around $30.00 per sheet on the very low side
I always had the same feeling about leftover tools etc with the first start up after a full pre harvest service /repairs on customers combines. They were almost always done on the customers farm in the 60s and 70s. Fortunately it never happened to me but not everyone was so lucky one of my workmates forgot to put oil in the engine and didn,t check it before starting the combine! Cost the company a replacement Perkins 6 354 😮
we had a mechanic leave a crowbar in the drum of a combine after a repair many years ago ,when i started it up ,the next repair was much bigger ! but i was certainly not paying for it
I speak for everyone, when I say that we've missed Jim!
Jim Jim Jim Jim Jim.
Psh, no way.
Jk, Jim rocks.
Lol sure we do miss his comments, continence, and good cheer

Speak for yourself. Jk. We missed him
Yes love Jim what a great person. Love this channel. God Bless one and all.
So good to see Jim again. He is a great person and a big addition to this channel.
Love that Jim is back.
Can't get enough of him and

Thanks, Becky

Can remember sat on a combine with a 12 foot header. Things have sure come on since then. Thanks for the video. All the best 🇬🇧.
Don’t fire Jim!!!!! We love that he keeps you entertained 😂
It’s hard to believe with the cost of equipment that they make money. How many ears of corn does it take to pay for a $million machine?
Great video Zack good to see Jim back
Awesome video . Thank you very much
Zack. Look into a filter drain. Way less of a mess. It punctures the filter and it drains thru a hose.
My uncle was starting a new pull type combine and ran the instructions through it
Thanks Zack ,Rebecca and crew. Amazing to learn the details of the process and be an armchair farmer...fun and educational 😅
It’s so funny when you Josh around with Jim. I can tell he’s got a real chill demeanor.
Good to see Jim.. Channel worth watching again LOL

Two things....Oil-dry...and/or...Johnny Cat
Great video All of you especially Becky making Zach look goofy on camera 😂😂
Good to see Jim back again.
All the best from England
Spell checked it did say good but that’s AI for you.
Sorry Zach.
6:56 You mean farmers don't work for free? That's news to me!
Hey Jim
Don't worry about it!
Better to spill the old oil
than to spill the "new" oil.....
I was crusing around on Google Earth and hovered over Lowery. I saw MN Auto Auctions. I clicked on the lable for their business and there is your Brown and White Chevy truck. 🚘🚘
Have a safe and productive harvest ya'll!
Oops I thinks a little oil is on the ground. Nice seeing the younger Man working on the corn header have fun Racing Zack

Good to see Jim back in the game
"Eventually into the grain bin and then my checking account"!!! LOL,,, Chet swears by them.... same with the Crary wind systems...
Oil spills we use cat litter works great

Good show
Hello all from Siesta Key Florida.
We've finally started to cool down also. Only had 2 days of 105 ° feel like temperatures this week.
Hey we love us some Jim. Hope all is good after the surgery.
Awesome stuff right there Zach! I hope you fill all your bins this year. Best harvest ever is my wish for the Johnson family 🚜🚜🚜
Great video Zach
I would just like to say "Thank You" for your superb videos, I do enjoy them so much. Regards from the UK
Honeybee headers! A great Canadian product!
Trail of shame from oil cart LOL..................... Dad fired up combine making ton of noise and 2 big rats came out the back.

If you are serious and near sw ga you can come ride one of our 4 jd combines during bean harvest
Goes right from harvest to your bank account to seeds for next year and upkeep and toys for you and your son and the rest of your familty and rinse and repeat! Very interesting vlog and thank you for sharing!
Great to see you getting ready for your Super Bowl, the harvest!
20v DeWalt drill through the combine makes some noise and the lithium battery cells light the field on fire when they hit the ground. It was an exciting 10 minutes…
From England Good to see Jim and the Scrap yard EMR Truck and Fuchs Re handler just like over here.
Poor Jim 😮😮
Triple R farms in Alabama store their header gathering chains in a bucket of diesel fuel to keep from rusting...lubes as well extending life of chain...just an idea..
that black strip seems like a great way to bust more corn off the ear. they say its "softer" not soft enough
So, you know more about the product than the developer? Hmm!

Dogs are the ultimate lifeform. Ditch's got the right idea.
I would be interested to see what the return on yield is v changing the brushes as I can see them wearing down quick
So, you know more than the company engineer? Hmm! Besides, why do you care?
Engineers are not to be trusted lol . I am a tool and die maker 😂
@@paulcopeland9035that doesn’t take much.
@@paulcopeland9035You are opposed to someone who asks a good question? Curiosity is a good thing.
That 45’ header is nice. Good video hope you did well at the race track.
My neighbor fired his combine up with a corn head on it. A 4lb sledge hammer went I. The front and out thru the chopper. It’s not pretty.

Can't wait to see u in the fields harvesting
That’s funny you talking about humidity. Come on down to Bama in August-early September and you’ll see what real humidity feels like😂
Come on up to the upper Midwest mid January an we'll show you what real cold it.. I kind you cant feel your fingers or toes in literal seconds.
Hope your races went well!
Still hooked on MF... thanks for allowing me/us to share your life!
Always love seeing your BFF's from May Wes. Best of luck with harvest fellas.
That crew from Mae Wes gets around. Between the Larson's, Zach, and a few other YT farmerz...and the farm shows...it seems like they're everywhere?!?
Re: Oil spils - Card Board is a great idea...I always used kitty litter. Thx for the tip

Can always count on a good old s.o.b. comment when Jim’s around.
Kitty litter does a good job of soaking it up as well.

Watching middle America work is beautiful, from Barbados make America Great.
Nice blue "Fuchs"/fox material handler.
Can't wait to see some serious cab corn.
once again I'm impressed with how big and amazing the Combine is ! 🤩
good to see Jim doing well. great guy for sure. glad you didn't fire him when he got the tracks stuck! great video.
Great video. Always neat to see it all. Hope the racing went well!!
Cardboard and kitty litter. Cat dog kitty litter. When you started I thought it was Smokey and the bandit!
Hopefully we'll see a lot of harvest videos 😊
i use saw dust or/and cat sand for stuff that take leak , well dish wash soap work later on the spot.
cardboard make spot become bigger
the scrap man here - love seeing that scrap action!
Hello Zack how have you been. In Missouri we have started harvest already
Into the grain bin and into my checking account 😂
That Jim........You just can't leave him alone!!!!!! I have never seen a clean garage floor.....if I do I do not trust it!!!!!
Should have been doing that last winter!
Have a great weekend and good luck winning- Because everyone wins.
Be safe 😊

Great video!
My dad had a squirrel in the grain tank one time and it kept throwing warnings at him
My god the ingenuity is AWESOME!!!!!!
Good to see Jim Zack
Sure wish I could get a side of a racecar for the wall. Would be so cool.
In my day, we poured used engine oil on the gathering chains. Rusty parts was a no no back then
Ya gotta LOVE Jim
i actually live about an hour away from river city speedway
keeping busy as always another good video bud
You got to be kiddin Jim!
Good job guys
Never can trust these guys when you leave them alone. At least it was old oil.
Awesome video Zach. 🚜🚜🚜
Hi great video like every video
You do a very good job at explaining things, I'm new to farming and I also play farming simulator 22 and I try to get all the equipment that you have and try to do same same senerios while I play lol I love your dogs too , Good Job
If starting a combine after maintenance bothers you, try flying a helicopter after major maintenance. Great video. Can’t wait for harvest.
Hope Jim dont feel too bad making a mess with all that oil !. Not worth sacking him.
Zack we do miss the outtakes at the end of each video. Do you think you could maybe bring those back? I’m crossing my fingers.🫰🫰🫰🫰🫰
Been lucky with no tools in the combine, but leaving the elevator sump plates off makes the yield on your first pass a bit low 😢
Sure was a quick way to get rid of all those used roof sheets but with a little bit more time could of sold them for around $30.00 per sheet on the very low side

Just wondering when you are installing the hot tub in the shop for Jim and your dad? Harvesting is almost here and they will need it very soon!
You are the best
