📄 Shrek Smash n' Crash Racing is a kart racing video game released in November 2006. The game is based on the Shrek franchise. Players have the option of playing one of twelve Shrek characters, using racing and combat skills to defeat other racers.

Wow, I'm surprised to see that the PSP version has a much worse frame-rate than the DS version, a frame-rate of this kind is awful for a racing game.
I never thought I'd say this, but the DS has the best portable version here.
Very surprising indeed, since the DS is a lot weaker than the PSP and both versions are identical to the console version (minus the downgraded graphics) and running on the same source code/engine, yet the PSP runs like dogcrap while the DS keeps a flawless 30 FPS at all times.
From other vids I've seen, the framerate isn't as bad. And this game runs at a variable framerate on PSP meaning it can run up to 60 but usually doesn't. Unless it's running on an overclocked PSP or an emulator.
@@kittbluevenom2384 It still isn't nearly as smooth or as consistent as the DS version.
I like the GameCube version.
Yeah, the colour range is really good because there's no vaseline bloom effect, and that makes all the difference.
PS2 for me.
Has a cool blur effect, plus the game feels more fixed; the gnome doesn't seem to lock onto enemies on the gamecube version for me, whereas the PS2 version functions fine.
The only upside to the GameCube version is that it has an option for 3-4 players (don't like the controller), compared to only 2 max for the PS2 (which is boring on Battle mode, can't understand why that's an actual mode).
Note: One oddity for the AI for me, is that they never attack you at all, unless you're in the pack and accidentally hit you (since they seem to be coded to never attack the player and only each other; freeze and the defense item they're scripted to use instantly). It seems they actually do attack you on the DS (or at least randomly use their items).
