@@MikeyJBlakeJR A guy who modded the game on several ocassions showcased some (i think) unused animations. One of them is awfully similar to Crash 1's original intro, and the other one is awfully similar to Crash 1's death animation.
It may seem minor, but in the original 99% of deaths had the “whoa!” sound, whereas in the remake trilogy it’s used less often. That sound is just as synonymous with the series as Crash himself
Think it's because realistically Crash wouldn't always have enough time to say "whoa!" Before being blown to $hitereans

In case you're wondering why some of them are "less aggressive", the explanation is Japanese censorship. They had to make two versions of the original game because of censorship, and to avoid this, they made these "less aggressive" animations (Crash turning into an angel instead of "dying", eyes removed from explosions, gets drowned way faster, etc.)

Eyes are still there, they are just spread out more when they land, look closely at wider shots, also I think drowning is quicker, like a lot of other deaths, is so player does not have to wait long time to start playing again.

technically it's the same model in all games, but the textures/colors and animations are different. they probably just kept that animation in.

@@lowhp_comic The one where he gets sliced in half by the sword in the third game is more gruesome in N Sane. It came as such a jump scare because I was expecting the legs to walk off in cartoony fashion like in the original but instead his top half just plops on the ground.
This game definitely didn’t lose none of its stretchy bouncy animations what is you even saying if anything they added them
I disagree. The animations are way too stretchy in the remake, and it often takes away the subtle element of the original that made the game's world and its characters more grounded. Uka Uka is one of the most egregious examples, as he's way too bouncy and animated compared to his still, imposing and diabolical ps1 counterpart.

The only thing that bugs me in the new one is that some of the most recognizable sound effects were either gone or made worse. Examples include the dudes lifting rocks on the Orient Express / Midnight Run levels, or the triceratops' roar when it's chasing you like there is literally no sound in the remaster.

If you get shrunk in the second game by a shrink ray, if you run into something else that will kill you before the shrink ray kills you, you will be a super tiny crash angel that's just a small blue dot floating up on the screen.
Kind of wish coco had more death animations: her having mostly angel ones in addition to being excluded to play through certain levels like the scuba diving levels makes her feel like a last minute addition

Some of these deaths are very dark! Especially those TNT boxes; Crash's eyes actually remain! I don't notice them as much in the remake, but the original is very obvious!
