    It’s a beautiful truck, this design has really grew on me, not crazy about the Sierra or the new F150 front end or the new RAM, Rebel looks good and the TRX IS JUST AWESOME, but 100k is way to rich for my pocket. Great review

    I have a similar set up with my 2020 RAM 1500 Laramie in the bench front seat (very versatile) and no sunroof (no mechanicals to malfunction, leak, or rattle). I recommend including heated front seats and steering wheel (feels so luxurious in cold weather).

    Good advice. I agree you really need to look things over to make sure you get everything you want and not miss anything like that low range Differential. That would have pissed me off enough to take it back the next day.

    This is like an advertisement for my 2020 RAM 1500 5.7L Hemi eTorque. 12 volt battery easy to access. 48 volt battery in back wall of cab and eTorque seamlessly restarts the engine and applies low end electric torque to get the truck rolling. Air dam retracts when parking and extends down at speed for aero dynamics. Wind tunnel tested with grill louvers and swept back mirrors for major aero improvement. 4 RAM dealers in my area all very competitive, got $10,000 off msrp without trying very hard. Extended warranty was very reasonable. Class leading interior and 8.4" or 12" screen. 2H Auto 4H 4L and easy to use dial shifter integrated with electric parking brake. Friendly upfront dealership experience. RAM recently leap frogged Chevy to be #2 in full size truck sales behind Ford. MotorTrend's Truck of the year 1500 in 2019 and 2500 in 2020. High tech, great connectivity, luxurious, smooth coil spring rear, ultra quiet interior with vibration cancelling and insulated glass, smooth buttery power, affordable Mopar parts, and fun to accessorize. Traded in my F-150 Platinum which I liked, but I Love my new RAM. No regrets! These are great times to buy a new truck. Enjoy your Silverado!

    I have the same exact truck. Totally agree with the whole purchasing process. I hate the auto stop feature. I hit that button as soon as I get in the truck. My only big complaint is driving at night and the headlights and how their designed. The lights only light up the road directly in front of you and not beyond. Hard to explain. Good overall review I agree with everything.

    I agree on the 4lo. I was pissed when I realized this. However, no one to blame but myself I guess. I should have done my research. On your concern with the auto stop/start, not need to worry about the wear and tear. Separate starter for that that is built with like 20x the amount of starts of your actual starter in mind. Additionally, it prevents oil from draining out of the engine during these mini stops which negates the engine wear. And lastly, it only does it once at operating temperatures. So outside of the annoying delay and bump, not much to worry about that I can see.

    • @Handy-Mann
      @Handy-Mann  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely a principle of the matter about the 4 low, just that a 4x4 normally has one. But thanks for looking into the starter and providing more info on it!

    Yeh I hardly ever use 4x4 low on my truck either. But I want the option lol. That 4x4 auto is really handy tho. Wish my 2015 Silverado had that.

    • @Handy-Mann
      @Handy-Mann  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i can remember only once actually needing 4 low, but I've needed 4 high plenty. So it honestly doesn't seem like it's necessary but it's definitely one of those "principle of the matter" situations Haha

    I liked the review, but... for me, i thought this through when I bought my truck and so i am going to disagree with you on the extended warranty. I did get it, it was much less, our dealer used a different service from GM extended warranty, so it might be a lot cheaper. But for me it was less than 2000 dollars...on a 40 to 50 K truck, it was 8 years or 140,000 miles. The standard warranty on the Silverado was between 3 years 36k miles, and 5 years 60k miles, depending on powertrain (5 years) or everything else 3 years. So for an extra 1700 plus I got a warranty for 8 years. It would really suck to be making full payments on this expensive truck after say, 5 years and have the transmission or motor go out... So making payments and then pay another 5K to fix the motor or transmission, or two grand on something else... makes no sense. And the law of averages say, something is going to happen. Also, buying the extra warranty up front, means you can finance it... Not buy it outright after 3 or 5 years after you purchase the truck... And it does go up in price when you buy it later on, so that actually negates interest if you finance it.... That being said, I want the warranty to cover the period i am making car payments.... You're better off to get the extended warranty upfront. UNLESS you plan on trading the vehicle off in a few years.

    Beautiful truck, I have the 2019 all Star Silverado Edition. In Satin Steel Metallic. I paid just above $34,000.00 with the added 6" wheel to wheel step bars, that I bought at the time of purchase. I did everything you said should be done while buying this truck..yes They tried to wear me down too... I did not give in. I know I got excellent deal and a great interest rate... I installed a bypass for the auto stop feature. About $95.00 from AutoStopEliminator.com it retains the memory from the last switch setting, works flawlessly.. I also made a 6 month review, I showed everything I could think of..on my TH-cam channel. I'm loving everything about this truck. Especially the front end..I love the look. My Mpg's have been no less then 14.6 and no higher then 23.1 on average close to 17.0 to 19.0..I do have a led foot, I'm used to driving a sports car...

      @@makoreyflorida6528 .what are you sorry for..i got a great deal...no it's not a 4x4...Although now I wish I would have bought the Z71 4 x4. I did go back just over a month ago and bought the extended warranty....now I have piece of mind...I just installed the JLT black oil separator catch can. I read up on these direct engines. They have a problem with the (blow by) caking up on the backside of the valves. So this catch can should hopefully eliminate most of that. Installation video will be posted shortly.

      Yes, I've owned both a second gen silverado and an s10. Those were both prior to starting this channel though. I looked into other brands and even test drove the Ram ecodiesel. That truck was about the same price as this Silverado, however I felt the Silverado was more reliable.

    • @andybub45
      @andybub45 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      LTZ doesnt have the option for a 10 speed, at least yet. You will need to get LT trail boss or a 6.2 for the 10 speed. I wish it was standard on the 5.3 though, the 8 speed is pretty bad.
