The Wii might be my favorite console of all time. It's the first one I ever experienced softmodding on, and it's greatly enhanced by mods. Tons of great games, and the virtual console and GameCube backwards compatibility make the Wii really a fantastic gaming experience.
This is why I love the Wii! It's just so versatile, especially when it comes to homebrew. Being able to play all the wii games, and then have access to gamecube through homebrew is a game changer. It's awesome that there's still a huge community for the wii, even 17 years later.
Now that the Wii Softmodding is done, Time to do hardmods hehe, seriously cutting a hole in the wii and adding acrylic glass then finishing it with LEDs makes it look crazy good!
That would look really cool- if it weren't for the pesky disc drive. I've opened up wiis before and they all contain a metal disc drive that hides the motherboard, and the other cool stuff. However if I had a wii with a faulty disc drive, I would take that drive right out and build a custom acrylic case. Cool idea, I just need a broken disc drive, not hard to find!
Thank you for mentioning Rc24 and WiiLink as separate groups. WiiLink is trying to take credit for everything that was done under the RC24 name. In terms, of them being separate, that's how it should be.
This looks damn cool! Seeing that you got some official VC releases, how about making a video about trying out VC iNJECTs and Single ROM Loaders? Btw, i freaking love this! :) Greetings :3

It's not a bad Idea. I found this one at a thrift store for only about 15 dollars. Ebay's an option, but you could find it at a thrift store or pawn and not have to deal with insane shipping costs.
Yes, maybe you should. Sometimes even cheaper at second hand stores. That is after all where ebay sellers get their products much of the time. Cut out the middle man. Go at opening of store day like the ebay sellers do.

Never connected my Wii to the internet. Guess I missed a lot. Fortunately, I kept all of my games and also in a good condition. Modern prices for retro games are insane and I think they are a bit of an economic bubble with people buying them just to sell them for more. Are prices for European releases usually similar as for American ones?
That's great that you kept your games. It's a problem, because if you DO sell them, they have to be sold at that price because if you price it low someone will just snatch it up and sell it at a high price. From what I can see, prices are about the same for Europe and NA games-with the exception of games that sold none or very few in one region.
Why are you sayingt the Gamecube controller useless? Are you not able to emulate gamecube games while using a genuine gamecube controller connected to the Wii?
Excellent question! I used to use a classic controller for those games. Unfortunately the controller broke so I can only use my gamecube controllers on my other wiis. But classic and pro work best.
no problem. i'll provide the wad file for north america and europe. just ask me through my business email everythingwiiyt@gmail.com and I'll send it over.
Hi! It's a pretty simple concept. Wiiware files are called .wads, which can be installed using a wad manager like wii mod lite. I would search uo a tutorial on installing wiiware wads and try that.
You can fit the complete Nintendo library up to a certain point on a single Wii plus many other console libraries. Excluding Switch, 3ds and Wii u of course. Wii library has to be broken up on a few hard drives because of size; and games over 4gb need to be split to run on Fat 32. Many good games actually. Countless Inspiration-less 1st person shooters can stay on the garbage band wagon jumper consoles that they belong to; ready to die in less than a decade from cheap capacitors. (sony and Microsoft.)
Yeah... but that's unnecessary. Most wii games (there were hundreds made) aren't worth downloading. You can back it all up but I just find it time consuming and unnecessary.@@jimjilliker2890
Unnecessary to you as an opinion and that's cool. Every collector has different goals. There are 1262 N/A physical releases. Then there are all of the other region exclusives. Then there are the virtual console and e-shop games. I am extremely compulsive and probably autistic. I need to complete things in full and need the challenge. I believe in game preservation whether I like the game or not. @@Everything-Wii

Wii Room on WiiLink also has a weird nes ad where the start sounds like "The boy fell asleep in the toilet" and sounds like a ear blower 69000
