Recently found out my mom kept all my gaming stuff from my childhood and when I got the box full of them I found my game boy advance SP with all my old games and I about cried. Game boy advance is still by far one of the best handhelds of all time.
Just finished replacing all the batteries in all my gameboy cartridges, from the OG to advance. Haven't played them much yet beyond just ensuring I didn't fry anything in the process but I look forward to it when I go camping next month (hiking and fishing is fine and all but there's only so much of that I can do before I get bored, besides I'm mostly just doing it to get away and not deal with real life for a while anyway). I think the only one I won't be bringing is Link's Awakening since I've been replaying that on the switch (I find it astounding that the switch version is both easier and harder than the original, but they managed it).
I was in the hospital for a couple months a few years ago when Pokémon Go was popping off. I couldn’t leave the hospital to play it, so my mom brought me my old Gameboy Sp with all my old Pokémon games😂 way better than Pokémon Go
Lucky ass my parents refused to buy me any games for my GBA (I only got an Gameboy Advance SP cause my Aunt bought one for me along with Pokémon FireRed to boot) so I had to steal most of my games from the Walmart near my house (this was around 2007 so most of games they had we're crap except for Mega Battle Network 6 and Pokémon Emerald) but luckily my mom assumed my aunt bought me all those games too 😎
Final fantasy tactics advance deserves recognition for story line. The game deals with heavy topics of depression, disability, losing ur parents, bully. As somebody who is 100 percent disabled the game hit hard for me. Dealing with depression, having a un curable disease that gets worse everyday n all top of losing my parents one of the few games that spoke to struggles of my life. Thank goodness things got better in my life, which tactics advance teaches you that eventually in life things would get better for you no matter how darks things are. N man mother 3 is easily one of my favorite games of all time.
I preferred the first one 😅 Cause you could raise a chao, and send it to Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. And in Sonic Advance 1, you could also unlock more chao colors. (eggs)
This is a good list. I can't help but feel surprised that none of the mega man battle network games were on here. Those games were fun and seemed like they were quite popular
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance was sooooooooo goooood. The plot is crazy. The basic premise is: you and your friends borrow a (magic) book that ends up granting your bullied friend’s wish and reshapes reality based on the fantasy world within… and naturally he’s now a prince instead of a nobody. You’re trying to change things back to normal but all your other friends like their new lives better and aren’t too happy with you meddling… lots of bittersweet conflict. Once I realized you learned all kinds of info when you pressed select over an item or pressed R in the character menu I was hooked for hours customizing my clan with new jobs and abilities, trying to complete obscure jobs, etc. It’s a very awesome game overall.

I first played and beat the Minish Cap in a GBA emulator on a laptop when I was stuck in Somalia a couple years back and it was alright but Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks on the DS were way better
I freakin loved chain of memories. I was surprised how quickly I came to terms with the card system. I was also irritated by how many reviews said that it was a retelling of the first game and gave it a lower score. It had a brand new story and introduced so many characters. I have to mention something that I _KNOW_ won't be on the list - Shining Force: Resurrection of the Dark Dragon - which is a remaster of Shining Force: Legacy of Great Intention on the Sega Genesis. It's a fantastic turn-based strategy game - think Fire Emblem, but with more memorable character and much more magic. @Falcon-um7vo odd as in I was playing it at the time I was scrolling through TH-cam and seen this video. Just good timing.
So happy that Astro boy omega factor got a single shot at the start of the video ish
I remember playing minish cap during pandemic in 2020. It was really good
