Mikel Butterfield actually, I think the parts where he doesn’t play guitar add a delectable contrast to the parts where he does play guitar. It’s like earth meeting the moon to create destruction and rebirth
I shook hand with Jeff, twice, and I have his signature on one of my Schecter guitars. Why isn't any of his magical guitar power at all getting transferred onto my hands?
I shook Jari from Wintersun's hand, as well as Mikael and Fredrik's from Opeth. I'm starting to wonder if they leeched what little skill I had developed.
As the wild Loomis shreds away on his Schecter, the hair becomes naturally drawn to the magnetic forces provided by the sheer amount of metal being produced. \m/
The two rhythm backing tracks beginning at 2:23 and 3:18 are just outstanding songwriting sooo celestial. I mean, people forget that as good a shredder as Jeff is, his rhythm riffage is as good if not better! Outstanding!
@@yourilevesque2 Haha 3 years ago... I didn't even remember this comment, neither did my ex, but I just textet her and we both had a laugh about it. :D
Yo, that was bad ass! Man, them drums was pounding my walls in a serious way. That is one of the best sounding live guitar solos I have ever heard in my life. Top of the charts!!!!!!!!
I just Jeff the other day in Tempe. Absolutely amazing. Instantly a fan! I had never heard anything from him before, but I will be listening to much more now!
I just saw a video where people were arguing whether Alexi Laiho or Jeff Loomis is superior lol. Loomis’s level of clarity and chops is far above most.
I see your point. Well, most people who listen to these artists are musicians so I wouldn't worry. Jeff Loomis like I said before will blow their minds.
Man, I thought the audio rocked on my system. It was great not to hear the lead guitar buried in low notes and drums, and I could hear every single note of Jeff's great playing. Two thumbs up for EMG!!
I, personally, have tremendous respect for Jeff Loomis. The backing/rhythm track on this work is just freakin amazing and cutting edge. My question is, is this the way he truly wants it or is his record manager, producer and so on say this will do for our purposes?
Well, I think Jeff, on his solo albums, gives a lot of importance also to the rythmic section, not only for rythm guitars, but also for drums and bass parts: and this is an unusual feature for a guitar hero solo album...and it's great, of course!! Anyway....WOW!!! he played also Friedman's solo!
I actually believe Marty comes in at 2:25, that solos has a lot of his phrasing, the only reason why Jeff is playing it, is because he's a beast and can shred through anything with ease!
He left Nevermore years ago, now he's doing his solo stuff (such as this piece right here), and he also collaborates with other artists. His latest project is a group called Conquering Dystopia, feel free to check it out and buy the album, it's amazing!
yeah i think i found out he left the band the same day i posted this, think i googled him after. who's gonna fill those shoes in NM man? Loomis and Dane where a great musical match. But thanks for the reaction man, and indeed, C.D. is sweet! \m/
SianadhAsmodeus There's a Hungarian dude who took his place in Nevermore, but he has nowhere near the same amount of talent as Jeff. But, on the other hand, who the hell does? :-D
Bloody hell, no one indeed. After Obsisian i just waited 4 tourdates and a new record, they never where realy good with media . No site, outdated wiki, hardly updates on Facebook. I dont do twatter so i woudnt know about that. guess i just should be gratefull to have see em live at wacken a few times.
I think he was a guest voice on one of the episodes. dont remember which one, but I do remember seeing his name in the credits at the end. I love this song more and more everytime I hear it.....how does he do it??!
its a preference. I could listen to this all day, theres more to this than just the chops, like if you appreciate dissonance, then most to all of jeff loomis has that.
once again jeff is back to take the crown as the metal guitarist to top in my opinion, and (by the way its not f ing possible) eat ur hearts out , showing what happens when u take the hand intellect and the and the almighty driving strength of passion and just let the the creativity and originallity decimate the hordes of completely UN-influencial guitarists and musicians out there. and if u dont know who this guy is its time to do some research! brilliant, i GOTTA GO CHANGE MY UNDERWEAR AGAIN!
I would guess it's the one starting around 2:28, due to the reduced "diminishedness" =), but then again he seems to pretty much hold back on that in this song overall. Damn, I can't wait for this Album to hit the stores. This will be a good year for guitar with a new Jeff Loomis, Paul Wardingham and most probably a Steve Vai album, too.
Loomis in Metallica is actually really good! Chris went to Megadeth, who would have thought that was a good idea before hand?.. and look how well he fits in. Seeing Loomis rip through 'Ride the Lightning' solo would make me cry of the unbearable pleasure it would bring.
dont matter what u haters are sayin , hes living his dream and doin what he wants . any body heard of "just the tip" the album aint even out yet .when ur junk is huge u dont gotta lay it all down at first. and yes stairway to heaven is amazing not just the solo but this is just natural shit for loomis, and nevermore kicks ass too! obsidian conspircy is just all up in ur face and still time to rock another solo album for the fans of his prowess he doesnt incorperate into nevermore. unselfish!!
feels like hanger 18 and undertow this guy is highly under rated I'd give my life to play I'm 15 and been playing for 3 years and I hope I can someday play like this guy or even appear in EMG
a wild jeff loomis has appeared!! jeff loomis used super epic guitar shredding. it's SUPER EFFECTIVE!!
a masterball wouldnt be enough
@@zachariedube1796 nor would swimming around all day on the east coast of cinnabar to get +/- unlimited haha
That riff at 4:10 is so awesome!!
Signature Jeff and Nevermore.
I like the part where he plays guitar.
Mikel Butterfield Every part on this video he play his guitar LOL
I think thats what he meant. He likes the whole video. Sarcasm is hard to detect over text.
Because he took the little power you have left my friend.
^ hahaha!
Alvin Cardinal :(
I shook Jari from Wintersun's hand, as well as Mikael and Fredrik's from Opeth. I'm starting to wonder if they leeched what little skill I had developed.
I met Michael Angelo Batio why am i not faster than before. haha
One day I will be on emg tv. life goal right there.
we'll make it!
You there on the emgtv yet bro??
Daniel Delahanty wya
Bro, you there yet?
Loomis is a God, speed, stamina, technic & melody in his masterpieces
Watching this video when gf comes in, saying "Haha he just looks like his guitar."
She's kinda right...
StahlmetallerM damn, *cant..unseen*
same 😂😂😂
I’ve watched this video like ten times and every time I think of this comment! Cheers!
😂 I hadn't noticed that -- all black, blonde fretboard

1:19 Hangar 18 😂
fr0z3nfury009 right 😂😂
That’s why i recognized familiar xD
omg
I always imagine if Jeff had joined Megadeth but Dave told him he was too young
Marty Friedman plays on this song. Might have a lil somethin to do with that
Jeff Loomis is one of the metal Lords for sure. I will wait for what the album brings
One of my all-time favorite guitarists.
to me the most gifted player ever. just amazing
His technique involves also playing with his hair.
he doesnt palm mute, he hair mutes
Jajajajaj lol
What if he coconut muted?! XD
African or East European swallow?
So he plays EVEN BETTER if I play with his hair? Maybe that has some calming effects on him
Yo, that was bad ass! Man, them drums was pounding my walls in a serious way. That is one of the best sounding live guitar solos I have ever heard in my life. Top of the charts!!!!!!!!
Jeff Loomis and Christian Muenzner are metal machines!
Indescribable!!!
What a Talent!!!
I fucking love this song. I think that Marty's solo kicks in at 2:23. Amazing work from both guitarists, both legends in their own ways.
My fingers hurt just watching this. Jeff is not human at all.
Awesome song. I really appreciate this guy's songs.
All that shredding blew his eyebrows off.
so excited for his new album! your just beautiful Mr. Loomis
I just Jeff the other day in Tempe. Absolutely amazing. Instantly a fan! I had never heard anything from him before, but I will be listening to much more now!
Man.
His background is black,he's wearing black,that C-7 is black,the song's black.It's darkly,brutally,beautifully amazing.
Nevermore wird niemals sterben!
Nevermore will never die!
Would expect nothing less from Jeff Loomis!
Behold! Master Loomis!

This is so much more moving an emotional than the studio version
Never heard of Jeff Loomis till TH-cam my first thought was who is this guy awesome 🤘🎸 Jeff Loomis can shred with the best of them

Oh my goodness. This guy never fails
I just saw a video where people were arguing whether Alexi Laiho or Jeff Loomis is superior lol. Loomis’s level of clarity and chops is far above most.
i LOVE his vibrato, i just recently got into him but hes awesome
I see your point. Well, most people who listen to these artists are musicians so I wouldn't worry. Jeff Loomis like I said before will blow their minds.

Awesome as always...
Man, I thought the audio rocked on my system. It was great not to hear the lead guitar buried

Awesome! Can't wait to get this album!
I started listening to this a week ago, FN rocks!
FINALLY EMG!!! Thank you
Jeff is the real deal!
I, personally, have tremendous respect for Jeff Loomis. The backing/rhythm track on this work is just freakin amazing and cutting edge. My question is, is this the way he truly wants it or is his record manager, producer and so on say this will do for our purposes?
absolute awesome playing and excellent tone!!! EMG-707 is awesome pickup!!!
Pure chaos on guitar, love it!
sick, the key changes are pretty cool, how it goes from heavy to happy and melodic
thank you for making this for me
Can't wait for Jeff's new album! Got it on pre-order :D
PAY NO ATTENTION TO THAT ENGL AMPLIFIER BEHIND THE CURTAINS. HIS SOUND IS ALL EMG'S.
lol
That subtle key change at 3:18 is freaking beautiful.
If he play more sweeps, the whole universe will explode due to his uber awesome sweeps
I'm detecting massive Yngwie influence to this one as well as Jason Becker… great combo. what a player
Yeah, I also heard a bit of Friedman or something else like that.
And Jeff Loomis RULES!!!
Ο Επιστήμων Marty Friedman actually did guest solos on this track! That's all him.
He does seem to bridge a lot of different styles. It's fucking great playing, that's for sure!
I don't see what isn't to like about this song, it's full of soul and feeling!! :D
Jeff Loomis kicks ass 🤘👍🎸
Well, I dunno what all of you think, but that was an inspirational shred for me. Something to strive for, and in seeking it become better than I am.
1:30 Jason Becker :D
Jeff Loomis for President!
This is how you play wah pedal
Riefky KC kirk hammett and zakk wylde liked this
Well, I think Jeff, on his solo albums, gives a lot of importance also to the rythmic section, not only for rythm guitars, but also for drums and bass parts: and this is an unusual feature for a guitar hero solo album...and it's great, of course!!
Anyway....WOW!!! he played also Friedman's solo!
Friedman inspired licks all over the place :p
Marty is actually a guest on this song this solo is from the man !
Michael Joshua Yeah he said one time that Friedman is his main inspiration lol

Mind blown at 1:02.
I am really diggin his tone in this video

Gentle humor on the internet. He means nothing by it.
Brutal riffs!!

why can't I be THIS good, it seems so easy and so awsome to play...
Yeah I was so pleased to hear that Friedman has a guest solo in this song.
awesome!!!! enjoy!!!
Regardless of the EQ here, we can expect it to be sorted out on the album and it's going to be awesome.
feels like hanger 18
and undertow
this guy is highly under rated
I'd give my life to play
I'm 15 and been playing for 3 years and I hope I can someday play like this guy or even appear in EMG
These Jeff Loomis videos make me wanna play guitar so bad, I swear!
For me its the best song, and i hope that i can play like jeff one day>>>!!!
Great amazing awesome guitarist...
1:20 "parte de hangar 18 solos de guitarra" :o
Loomis and Broderick were a match made in heaven. They should just rejoin. It was the deadliest combination I've seen.
