Microsoft forgets there that those things like skins and custom server maps exists within the PC modding community. So, rather than buying Minecoins, Minecraft veterans or those with common sense know to get those same joints for free on PC. But as you mentioned, they’re definitely there to lure in the younger audience.

I play bedrock and its rare to find anything actually good on it and when you do its just to much for it i found something cool and its just a mess at this point sadly Mojang dose this and lets people still others good content.
I don't think the Minecraft Marketplace is all that bad. It's expensive, but I have DEFINITELY made my money's worth with the tens of hours that I've spent on each pack I buy. (Most of them, at least.) I'm just used to it I guess. The Marketplace is also way easier than mods to play and get, even though I can't mix and match Marketplace packs. Money also isn't a big problem for me. But for people who don't have all of that money to just spend it on whatever, the Marketplace is overly pricey. It's nice that they have a lot, and I mean A LOT more free things than they used to. Years ago, the only free thing was "Purple Parrot Party Palace", which was the first thing I actually got on the Marketplace, and it was good, but not as expansive as the other Marketplace packs at the time. I guess it just depends. The pack that I have played the most out of any other pack is Lucky World Pets. I have probably over a hundred different worlds that are just this pack, and I've spent hours of time on each one. It isn't like, A super expensive pack but it isn't the cheapest either, I can check again and I'll reply to this comment saying the price. So, if you wanna buy a Minecraft Marketplace pack, be sure that you'll really play it a lot and don't just impulse buy a huge amount of packs that you'll never play and waste your money. But if you don't want to use the Marketplace, you don't have to. Mods are free and just as great, though it does take a bit more effort to set up and maintain. But one thing's for sure, the Minecraft Marketplace is not for the poor.
Lucky World Pets is 830 Minecoins and I think that's $4.99 US Dollars. At least that's what it said in the Marketplace just now. It's not on sale right now or anything either. Now, everyone reading this might not actually like Lucky World Pets. If hatching eggs and collecting lots of creatures to ride and take care of in your large house isn't your thing, Lucky World Pets isn't for you.
