Slept in, had a fantastic breakfast buffet, went to my closet hobby shop and found the new Ramp Truck and a past kit I missed out on. And then I sit down with my favorite beverage and see your current build video waiting for me. Best Saturday Ever!
I don't know about anyone else hpi. But I appreciate and love watching your builds. Sorry about the hood. I still wish the model companies here would bring the production back here. Take care and God Bless.
Nice build Chris, I agree when you're dealing with the manufacturer, be cool about what you need. You get more bees with honey than you do with vinegar.
Man I have always loved Moebius kits because of the box art, the ridiculous amount of options, the fit and finish, and the full color instruction manuals !!!! Love it
Despite the issues that you found Mobius is still in my opinion a very good kit maker and it's really cool that they are going to do whatever they can to make it right hopefully they get the bugs worked out soon
Awesome, Awesome, And Awesome work. I have learned so much watching your videos, You are definitely a person that can inspire a person to enjoy modeling . Thank you so much.
I pre-ordered from model round up and had no plans to build it for awhile. After watching this episode I immediately opened it and discovered that half of my floor pan isn't even molded. I recommend checking them
I have five different Moebius Ford pick-up kits in my stash. I have been trying to decide on which one to use in a kit-bashing project that will incorporate the old Monogram Garbage Truck / rock band stage kit by Tom Daniels. The extended frame of this ramp truck may be a better donor than the other regular pick-ups. The "tire rack" portion of this kit will also work well for the amps and other equipment for my rock band. Thanks for the high lights.
On these Moebius Ford truck kits I always attach the cab interior as I'm assembling the chassis. It makes attaching the cab easier for me and can help if the frame is warped.
Never built a Moebius kit, but this one will probably be the first one. So many ways to make it look sweet!! Chris your version of this kit is awesome!!!
These castings are sooo detailed. I understand, for time, you show the parts pretty fast. Of course we get a better look while you paint, assemble and weather. My question - with such detailed castings, how many coins are in the ash tray? I know, I had too... Diorama idea - sitting in a shop with one rear dully set off for brake check and hood up and valve covers off - "maintaining the ramp rig". Nice build - thanks so much for doing this, your works are much appreciated.
Put a Richie Evans coupe or a Troyer type pinto on the back will transport me back to the Saturday nights of my youth. Great build as always love those type of memories coming back.
Great build as always, I just thought of something regarding those heavy duty rims and tires, those would look great on the 1967 Ford F-100 service truck you did the build review on😊😊❤❤👍👍
Great work on building this kit. It looks great. I really appreciate you providing contact information for Moebius, if issues arise. It’s really sad that you had to explain “acting like an adult” when sending an email about issues. Thanks for sharing.
Nice work. Thanks for explaining the issues as you found them. The honesty without “trashing” the company is appreciated. Can’t wait to get my hands on this one. Seems like so many customizing and scratch building opportunities. Can’t wait! Thanks again for the content.
I truly enjoy your videos . Watching ur videos doing the thing you do step up my building skills . I am definitely going buy this ford ramp kit not a ford guy but I do like this build you done thank you sir can’t wait for the next one
Great vid. I can’t say enough how much these vids teach me. I did another version of this particular cab from Mo. not sure the name. But thankfully, I has no warpage issues. By the way, I’ve lost/wrecked/or kit missing parts over the years from both Round 2 and Moebius. They BOTH were very quick to help and to send new parts. Only time I had to pay, it was due to my own fault. But if the kit part was simply missing or short shot, they sent the part for free. Thx for the vid, Chris.
Great build ! Love the detail that you put into each build. I have bought a few of these kits now. Got mine through Ebay though, they had it for $59.44 shipped, where as model roundup had it for $77.46 shipped. Almost $20 difference. Can put that toward my next model.
Hey man I just want to say thank you for what you do for the hobby, and watching this video I see that you have a bit of trouble with the firewalls on these moebius bumpside fords, they drop right in from the top in the engine bay, instead of trying to install it from inside the cab, I did that too on the first couple of those cabs, but figured out it’s a whole lot easier going in from the engine bay side, hope this helps, build on brother!
I don't remember this kit being that good though I think I built it as a Chev. That one-piece ladder frame is nice, as are the slotted wheels. The twin I-beam front axle is very nice as is the choice of transmissions. I could see a late-model stocker or a sprint car on the deck. Very handsome build!
Looks awesome 👌, you can also put the hood in some hot water and try to straightened it out. I've used this technique and sometimes it helps straightened out warped parts. Just little FYI if uou don't want to contact the manufacturer.
Absolutely love it, Chris! I can't wait to buy a few of these kits. So the real question is when are you gonna show us around your place? We wanna see everything you've built over the years!
Hey I was expecting I might hear an explanation or a defect regarding how that windshield fitted in there it looked like it was really giving you alotta trouble...kinda reminded me of days as a kid covering windshield glass in glue trying to install em...thanks fer yer builds on TH-cam I'm here strictly for the car&truck builds and been watching yer videos since day one on here keep em coming I love it
Nice build sir that’s a cool looking truck it’s another one I will be getting when it comes to Australia might take awhile because I just got my hands on the MPC Chevy car carrier 👍🇦🇺
Beautiful work. Hardest part is - finding this kit in stores. Same goes with correct floor polish liquid. Unless I pay quadruple or more to eBay hucksters.
*GREAT* work as usual, *Chris* . I have wanted one of these since its announcement; since seeing the prototypes. It is too bad about the warped bonnet; the rest seems to work themselves out (though I have seen examples of severely-warped ramp bedsides and flooring. I certainly hope that Moebius et al. eliminate these unfortunate issues, and that the next run has an updated part number (e.g., a "-2" or an "R" for "revised"). I am surprised that the instructions call for the *FMX* automatic vs. a manual trans. (no comment on the sink marques on the FMX's pan...), as I'm sure that most of the F-350s had a "Creeper" 4-speed. Ne'er-the-less... I like the colour choices you went with (blue is one of me favourite colours). *Thanks* for sharing this build-up!
What happened with the plastic between the ramps, it looks like the plastic is rough , in kind of a large half moon across those doors. Was thinking of buying this kit, but it might be smart to wait a bit for the QC updates. Kit looks great, wouldn't know the hood was sunk, looks spread , glad their taking care of people.
I bought it but I'm afraid to open it and check it. Not because of maybe finding warped parts, but because i would set aside all my other half finished kits to do this one lol
AMT just raised the bar with their Budd wheel option for big trucks in the trash truck kit. I wish Moebius gave us accurate 4-hole steelies for this rig. It's disappointing when the wheels on a kit aren't as well represented as the rest of the kit.
From the time I first saw this kit I thought it was an interesting subject and I like the way it's building up. Since AMT did their Chevy from this same era with this type of set up as an option - TBH I prefer the duallie rather than the tandem single wheels they have on the back of theirs - when is a Dodge one coming out?
Question: I'm just getting back into modeling after a 50 year absence...what are you using to glue with ? I see a tube, a brush with a cap, and a mini turkey baster lookin' thing.
Just bought a Mobius golden commandos had no idea it was in cahoots with model king I would’ve never bought it. If so, that stuff has poo poo both shipping box and model box. We’re perfect model inside was walked contacted them twice no answer.
I've heard a lot of praise for Mobius, but I have had trouble with fit and warp in all their kits that I have built (Ford Pickups and Hudson Hornets). Also their instructions are inferior to the more illustrative focused Revell and even AMT.
This was the 1 I was looking forward too In ur preview vid of a bunch of kits u mentioned ppl who buy kits and don't build them.....y would sumone do that? As high as everything is seems like a big waste of money
@@urbanurchin5930 I was surprised to see them in there. I have the 70 f-100 4x4 and the 65 or 66 f-100 4x4 too. I converted the 70 to an F-250 highboy though
i love this build chris i do believe there is a f-250 wrecker is in the works at moebius coming in early 2023 lets hope so
My dad worked for a towing company and when he would use this monster, I would get on it with him! Wow! Good build and thank you for the memories!
Slept in, had a fantastic breakfast buffet, went to my closet hobby shop and found the new Ramp Truck and a past kit I missed out on. And then I sit down with my favorite beverage and see your current build video waiting for me.
Best Saturday Ever!
8mmmmmm lol
That is a great kit! 👍👍
Thank you for sharing this sweet model with us. This is a must have!
That's a great buid. And thank you for INFO for letting people know about the warped parts and how to get the replacement parts.
I don't know about anyone else hpi. But I appreciate and love watching your builds. Sorry about the hood. I still wish the model companies here would bring the production back here. Take care and God Bless.
Awesome build. Super job ovecoming those small issues.
You have the best videos.. You have an unboxing...then you show the build and then final review.
Frame looks perfect for a jimmy flintstone cab over body
Thanks for posting brings back memories when I used to make models be safe
'68 Mustang fastback with Tasca Ford decals would look boss on that. Great build, love the dry brush on the bed! 🚙
Nice build Chris, I agree when you're dealing with the manufacturer, be cool about what you need.
You get more bees with honey than you do with vinegar.
I hope moebius does mopars to this level of detail

Great build and presentation Chris!!
Nice job Chris thank you for sharing 😊
Great job Chris.Keep it going. 👏
Another Awesome Job Chris, thanks For Sharing n God Bless All 👍👍 Gary.
Another awesome build!!
Despite the issues that you found Mobius is still in my opinion a very good kit maker and it's really cool that they are going to do whatever they can to make it right hopefully they get the bugs worked out soon
Great job considering the issues. Thanks for the parts info.
Bought this kit just now, to shorten up the frame and driveshaft to add my Open Road camper kit! Will be perfect (hopefully)

Now that there is a fantastic truck and I wonder, Could an F350 wrecker be far behind??, Thanks for another great build presentation!!!.
Yesss I would love a wrecker, Cooters tow truck perhaps ¿?????
Wreckers have been overlooked guy way to long
Very cool build Chris, I really like this kit, looks like a fun one.
Great review, really dig that front grill.awesome build. Thanks Chris big fan of your channel.peace.
Wow! Brilliant kit , brilliant job mate👍
Wow this is a must have for me! Hope it hits the store shelves soon
Another awesome hit out of the park Chris stay safe and positive
I just started building this kit and the hood is really, really warped so I will email them
On these Moebius Ford truck kits I always attach the cab interior as I'm assembling the chassis. It makes attaching the cab easier for me and can help if the frame is warped.
Beautiful build again my man , I love your work and thanks for so much info n ideas
Hey~ I jst went to MRU and picked up this kit, along with two other Moebius ford kits. Thanks for the inspiration. Keep on truckin along.
Great job Chris! Looks like most issues worked themselves out. Nice kit, thanks Moebius/model king.

Or even a Dr.Dirt Dick Bergeron super modified on it in a girls college parking lot on Monday morning. LMAO a true story!!!
Cool build, awsome video as always !
Looks nice, especially with a race car on the back. / Thanks.
When I got a look at the truck on the turn table the tail lights reminded me of a '60 Impala.
That sure did build up nicely. Maybe that’ll be my next project.
That truck looks awesome. Great job.
Glad you like it!

I’m wanting to buy one of these and do some modifications to it, in order to have it haul two Revell ‘69 Shelby GT500 Mustangs.

I wish they would do the Snake & Mongoose Dodge race trucks. 4:29 diffs one looks like a front for 4x4. The hood is dented by someone stood on it.
thanks for the truth on the warpage enjoyed the vid

How easy would it be to cut the frame down to standard length? I want to use one of them to make an accurate Cooter's Tow Truck.

Had to say something about the window! Also it looks like you spray heavy. How long do you wait to start handedly?
Do you ever do any tow trucks I'm about to start a tow truck never done one myself
What glue are you using
The back ground takes away from from the kit building love your channel just not the new back ground
What kind of glue is that need that
What is a work day meal
Did I see 4wd parts on a few of the sprues? I'm pretty sure I saw a front axle and a transfer case half
Probably correct.....there is a Moebius F-100 that is 4 wheel drive. Same parts probably used for both kits.
