I like building these trucks, it takes me a mouth to build them the way I want them to come out. What I really like is watching folks like you teaching us your idea of how you like to build them, You teach people like me how to come up with new ideas about the way a truck that's been on the road or working may look after a trucker has put thousands of miles on them. Most of my trucks look like the ones you look at the show room. Thank you for all the work you do. Thats a fine looking trash truck you built there.
I was worried you might trash this model. But I threw out that thought about 30 seconds in. I've seen a lot of garbage on TH-cam, but this is as close to REAL as I'll see all day. Thanks again for a great build AND not for deleting my attempt at humor.
Been waiting for the buildup Chris!! What a great looking kit! Congratulations round2 it’s a winner! Can’t wait to get one hope they have enough coming! Thanks for the review.🚛
Great job, Chris. These C-series trucks were everywhere in their day. The refuse body is fine but the new chassis parts are excellent. The original came with a van body or a stake-bed body for deliveries. I'd like to see the new utility parts with other bodies, like a single-axle dump truck for landscapers, or a water/fuel tank truck, or maybe even an industrial fire truck. Nicely done!
I cannot wait to purchase this kit this thing is awesome now I can imagine I'm a trash man again picking up trash in my trash truck maybe I'll give it a flat tire or a blown hydraulic line yeah
I too have been looking forward to seeing this build video so thanks Chris. What a beast. All those working features and your weathering looks great. Hope to add this kit to my collection.
There it is! I know you showed a teaser on Facebook the other day of this garbage truck. You did an amazing job. Thanks for still showing your no nonsense videos of model kit building. You are awesome Chris. Keep up the good work!
Would love to see someone come out with the truck kits without the frame and cab. I think they could sell the garbage compactor or dump box or flatbed or tilt bed or tow truck bed or reefer box all separately so we could add them to what ever truck body we want. I would love this kit on a 1990s Ford cab.
I’m really looking forward to getting and building one of these. I am even working on getting pictures to do mine in the livery of a refuse company owned by my two great uncles.
'Amazing kit and an impressive build, as always. Since you have the ear of Round 2, I wonder if you'd consider suggesting that they look into producing that magnificent 1/4 scale Chevrolet engine that was tooled up, back in the '60s, but never hit the market. I believe that the tooling and a few test shots are in the collection of the model car museum, in Salt Lake.'Just a thought. It'd be wonderful if this amazing kit could finally see the light of day.
Great review and awesome build nice job on the weathering.worked for competition, peabody in engineering.great looking kit.would be more accurate if PTO and hydraulic pump was in kit.peace
Was looking forward to this build from the time you got this kit. I'm very impressed with all the working features. How long did it take to build that compactor body? Looks very labor intensive and I think it'd try my patience as a big tow truck once did! But it's definitely a great addition to any model truck collection and well worth the wait after all these years.
That's one on the list for sure! Love the 5 hole budd wheels the new version comes with! Outstanding job Sir! They need to come out with a Kenworth front end loader garbage truck like the one in Ernest Scared Stupid! 😆
do you remember we you did the 71 joey saldaner sprint car video? well geas what i got it and just started bilding it its so cool and hay im loveing the content keep the great work ; -)
Great build of the garbage truck. That really looks like an awesome kit. I’m really looking forward to getting my hands on a couple of them. I’ve not seen it available for sale anywhere yet. Thanks for sharing.
I’m wanting up to three of these kits. One as a custom International 4070, one as is as a Murrey’s Disposal truck and a custom one based off the AMT Kenworth W925. Or I’ll just may end up building one.
Chris+ I just gave your video the 100👍 up this is a great kit and you did a great job on this one p.s. they still don't know the difference between drive tires and steer tires 😁
Amt can use their Star Wars license and do a spoof version of this kit as an Imperial Trash Compactor truck and put in scale figures of Han, Leia and Luke in the back 😀
I remember seeing some of these refuse trucks with the International Cargostar platform. None of them up here had those side pieces, that are on the back of the truck. So if I’m able to get one of those International Coarhostar cabs, then I’ll build one of these
I wanna thank you for giving me the bug to get back to building. I just called my local hobby shop to get their saturday hours and some prices. I can't wait to rip the cellophane off that box! I'm going to get a Peterbilt to start back into it. Do you have an exhaust on your paint booth? I want to make a paint booth this time. I love those part holders you use.
David R Lentz, USA Excellent! You’ve given me numerous ideas! Speaking of the Ford C-series medium-duty tilt-cab truck, I saw several photographs of fire trucks with this design as the cab. Would grafting this truck driver’s office to the body of the three AMT fire truck kits be reasonably accurate? That is, did these Ford tilt-cab vehicles have American LaFrance fire truck equipment? From what you’ve shared with us of your busy work life, you know more about this than I. I just think it would look truly innovative (especially in a diorama incorporating all three in a two-alarm fire involving one end of an aging, red-brick apartment block). The model-maker might have to scratch-build certain details, but one reasonably would have to expect that. Such a display also would include some a fire chief’s car, police patrol cars, a sheriff’s cruiser, an ambulance, etc. You know, if you start now, you just might be finished in time for Christmas . . . .
Not that I need any those parts per se but I would sell those parts. Extras is always needed. Better to have someone’s extras then to buy another model for a specific part.
I use any type of decal solution on the market, whatever I feel like grabbing that day. I have all the major brands here and they all work just fine. I use Plastruct Bondene for glue as it gives me fast results.
I remember back in the early 70s there was a model of a garbage truck but it had surf boards on it and the rear life gate was open with a rock band playing in the back. Or am I just imagining it?
That was from Monogram and it was called The Garbage Truck it was one of Tom Daniels designs. I love the Tom Daniels models but that was one I couldn't bring myself to buy.
I never imagined I would want to build a garbage truck model, but now I want to build a garbage truck model.
I run a garbage truck for a living and now I want to build one!

This video really stinks! lol
What an awesome kit! Who would of thought a garbage truck would bea cool kit to have, heck I can't wait! Another awesome build, CHRIS!!!
Wonderful presentation and review Chris. I believe Round2 has a real winner here, I'm looking forward to see how modelers build theirs!!
Been waiting for the buildup Chris!! What a great looking kit! Congratulations round2 it’s a winner! Can’t wait to get one hope they have enough coming! Thanks for the review.🚛

I'll be getting a few of these kits!!!!!!!!! 👍👍👍👍
Awesome build, Chris. That garbage truck resembles a classic I remember back when I was a child.
I'll definitely have to get one of these. My dad worked for a municipal garage so I may build one for him.
Great build Chris, I can smell the Moon Juice from here. Keep em coming..... I'll keep watching.
Awesome build and paint. Such a great kit from round 2, this should be kit of the year!
I got this from my dad for Christmas and this video will help me build it, thanks so much
I can remember those trucks, but like you said, now most have the automated ones. Great job on this, so real looking.
Thanks for this one Chris. I never thought that I would want a garbage truck kit. Great job by AMT for all that fine detail.
Hi Chris, the dump truck turned absolutely perfect, congratulations on the great truck, best regards from Australia.
I cannot wait to purchase this kit this thing is awesome now I can imagine I'm a trash man again picking up trash in my trash truck maybe I'll give it a flat tire or a blown hydraulic line yeah
Wow!! round2 are smokin'
Cool kit! There’s something about all the living parts that makes me wanna build one! Thanks for all the details in the video!
Fantastic video Chris. Did not think this kit would be on my radar. Now I can’t wait for its release - I am in for one 👏
Currently working on this model, and watching this video again now for reference..
Another great build! Thanks for sharing Chris, love the weathering 👍
Wow what a marathon build it turned out awesome mate 👍🇦🇺

Absolutely beautiful build up! Oh I can't wait to get my hands on mine now !!! And Garbage are a must for me !!! GOD Bless !!! 😇👍🏼
This is 1 of you best builds yet. I can't wait to get mine.
Always enjoy your work Chris, keep up the videos, you make a lot of people happy!
Fantastic job Chris! Great pacing and editing. Thoroughly enjoyed your build
I too have been looking forward to seeing this build video so thanks Chris. What a beast. All those working features and your weathering looks great. Hope to add this kit to my collection.
The matte finish on the tyres looks great
There it is! I know you showed a teaser on Facebook the other day of this garbage truck. You did an amazing job. Thanks for still showing your no nonsense videos of model kit building. You are awesome Chris. Keep up the good work!
Awesome build my friend for a trash truck, gonna start my 3 projects that have been hold for a minute, thx for the tips on detail
Looks like a very nice cat truck looks good
Just catching up on youtube have to say this was one of most enjoyable builds SO looking forward to building this

I would love this kit on a 1990s Ford cab.
My sentiments exactly. That would be great if they would do that.
Would also love to see a wheel pack. Budd rims and Dayton rims (spider spoke) in one.
Excellent build Chris!
I've been very excited for this and don't know why
Beautiful build! So nice to see a production build.
Looks like a fun model to build.
An amazing build of this long awaited kit Chris , you right about putting those budd wheels as an accessory pack
I’m really looking forward to getting and building one of these. I am even working on getting pictures to do mine in the livery of a refuse company owned by my two great uncles.
Very nice job Chris love them old work trucks thank you for sharing
Outstanding job. It looks great.
Hey nice build of the garbage truck
Awesome build review. This one is definitely worth buying.
Sweet build hpiguys.

The packer and ejector manually operated, that's cool. I want to buy one of those
Like the real version of that Monogram Garbage truck show rod
Great Build!! I can't wait to get mine!!
That is an outstanding build. I look forward to getting a few of these myself.
Awesome build kit I absolutely love it a lot
My dad used to drive a rear loader if i get my hands on that model I’m going to make it look like his truck did and gift it to him
I built one just got done but I don't know where all the decals go
Great review and awesome build nice job on the weathering.worked for competition, peabody in engineering.great looking kit.would be more accurate if PTO and hydraulic pump was in kit.peace
That looks great thumbs up 👍
Great review and build of this kit. Should have came with two banged up metal garbage cans...
Love the bugs bunny music awesome

Looks realistic enough, but how about putting some popcorn shrimp in the back to get the right aroma, instant show winner.
That's one on the list for sure! Love the 5 hole budd wheels the new version comes with! Outstanding job Sir! They need to come out with a Kenworth front end loader garbage truck like the one in Ernest Scared Stupid! 😆

I would be neat to put the packer behind the Freightliner day cab!
Nice build
Awesome, Thanks

Came out great
Awesome mate👍
Chris+ those wheels would look good on the Ford L9000 dump truck snow plow kit you built a while back
Chris+ I just gave your video the 100👍 up this is a great kit and you did a great job on this one p.s. they still don't know the difference between drive tires and steer tires 😁
Very cool buddy 👍👍🤘✌️

YEAH 👍 👍 NICE GET YOU SOME SUPER CLEAN 👌 PURPLE BOTTLE YOU HATE CHROME VERY"NICE BUILD 10-4 O.G.CALIFORNIA BACK QUIET 🤫!"

What kind of cement do you use? It seems to dry real fast and real strong.
Fantastic build. What was the “leaking oil” you used? Looked great in the video.
I wanna thank you for giving me the bug to get back to building. I just called my local hobby shop to get their saturday hours and some prices. I can't wait to rip the cellophane off that box!

The kit looks great. Thank you for posting the build. Wasn't there a garbage truck in the 1980 film The Exterminator? Might make a great dio.
Would love to see the metal ram for there dump trailer
a cheap extending radio antenna can be cut down to make one= the old style metal ones
Very nice build...but i like to know IF the cab on this one can be fit on the AMT Ford LN 8000 race car hauler ???
Not that I need any those parts per se but I would sell those parts. Extras is always needed. Better to have someone’s extras then to buy another model for a specific part.
I was a garbage man for a day when I was 18 and we were on one of these trucks. Summer 1987
Press fit with tabs?! Who is this?! This isn't amt!
lol in all seriousness i can't wait for this
Amazing kit as always. I am curious as to what decal solution you use and plastic cement.
I use any type of decal solution on the market, whatever I feel like grabbing that day. I have all the major brands here and they all work just fine.
I use Plastruct Bondene for glue as it gives me fast results.
Looks like ant early unit ,before they used Garwood dumpsters . There's no lock or lift bar .
How long do you wait between paint coats? I’ve never had good experiences with rust oleum paint for plastic on models.
cool...
But overall it was a great I'm a garbage man and I made it look like my company truck
Where do you put all the builds you’ve done
Mines on order but I hate these type of FRAMES LOL
Can You tell me of any nice 55,56 or 57 Chevrolet Nomad kits out there with opening hood ,tailgate and doors in 1/24th scale ?
I remember back in the early 70s there was a model of a garbage truck but it had surf boards on it and the rear life gate was open with a rock band playing in the back. Or am I just imagining it?

👍
Hopefully you'll do the upcoming Streaker Vette and LA Dart wheelstander reissues Model Roundup has coming
Please please please
Yup, R2 sent those for review and I'll have them on the New Kits video when I do another. :)
I can see someone building this with servos and switches to work the trash box lol
Another great review from Chris to make my wallet sigh.
I think the other view is better than this view
