When people ask me why I prefer my old car to my new daily - this is why. This feeling, everything buzzing around you, all the feedback and vibrations, everything is analogue and manual. So much character and soul.
As a driver you’re part of the process and part of the car….modern machinery has so much electronic aids and so much safety equipment drivers are cut off from the experience of driving…it doesn’t help that many drivers don’t actually care about driving and instead buy cars just to get from point A to point B and are more interested in the free Wi-Fi the car comes with etc etc…a simple example is shown by the amount of automatic cars being sold compared to manual ones. Glad I grew up and learnt to drive during a time when we had some great cars both on the road and to watch racing on and off road. (1970s - 1990s)
@@friktionrc To people that don't understand I always compare it to playing music on spotify vs listening to a record. Sure, one is easier to live with, arguably better and much more convenient but there's just something about the experience and fun of the other that can't be replicated by digital means.
@@LukeEvans55 believe me, the only thing that is arguably better for Spotify is ease of access from both an effort and availability. Just most things, you only get out of it what you put into it. We live in a cold age when it comes to technology superseding analogue. Mostly created by an equivalent philistinism mindset. However, for those who know.. the two can work in harmony in many cases. I purchase Vinyl to listen on my Hi-Fi, modern digital technology has brought forward the ability for me to record my vinyl to DSD so I can enjoy near same level of fidelity without waring out my vinyl yet bringing accessibility.
@@antonioruella377 You can look the car up. Do a Google search. Google the YT channel's name, it's an exotic car dealership. They have an ad for this very car where they explain it's a fake.
The Colombo engine combined with this beauty is what I call automotive art where technology gets soul. It's all about the sound, the feeling, the honest acceleration ... I've never driven a hand-shifted NA-Ferrari, but as owner of a 4th Gen Viper I can tell you: You get submerged in sheer emotions when driving cars like this. You don't care about other opinions, daily problems or the stupid radio you don't have or willingly turn off - it's just you, the car, the street and the connection between. And as many other people already pointed out: It doesn't matter that there are more powerful or faster cars out there - drive a car like this and you don't care about all those smartasses who'll never own (or understand) something comparable. In my opinion there are far too few people out there who own AND really drive and enjoy such beauties. Yes, driving means wear and risk of accidents, but on the other hand - this is what cars are made for! If you only want to display static art or just collect hundreds of cars buy mockups, please! There are people out there who would gave everything they have to get in touch with such cars and they can't because some 'collector' hides them away from the rest of the world or thinks they are just some kind of investment for stupid gambling. I think there is a 'perfect match' for everyone who loves cars - a machine that fits to your taste, your moods, to the things you care about or you ignore ... keep looking for that car and when you find it - never let it go! On the other hand: Maybe you own a car that is considered as 'ultimate pinnacle' by others but you don't really see it like that let alone loving it from the deepest of our heart - sell it to someone who really wants, respects and drives it and focus on the next set of wheels that really makes you happy ... A colleague of mine always said 'Life is too short to drive boring cars' - he couldn't have been closer to truth but he never really stay true to his own words to put earnest effort in looking for this 'perfect match' and keeping it - to me this was a 'deterrent example' that lead to said Viper :-)
Absolute motor car perfection. At $75 million I know they are out of my reach but if things keep going well for my myself and my portfolio, I do have my eye on the 288 GTO as a real possibility.
Omg, the gloves are by "theoutlierman" - hand made from Italy. I have the same ones. They compliment the whole driving experience. Just need that car too😍
It's a Ferrari 330GT rebodied and rebuilt to look like a GTO. So while a nice thing and based on a real vintage Ferrari that would still be worth several hundred thousand dollars it is not a multi million dollar GTO.
@@prakashdayanandan3176 There is quite a few 'recreations' around. The ones based on period Ferraris are pretty well documented. Bear in mind there are only SEVEN series 2 GTOs in the whole world, so if you know those it isn't difficult to see one that's obviously a rebodied, rebuilt replica. I recognised this car as a well known 'recreation' and it's not a GTO. It's essentially an expensive replica. Very nice all the same.
It's alive! This new era of electric cars, there is no feeling, no sensation. This car and many like them but equally the new timers, like the 599 GTO, the F12. They are alive, moody if you push them too hard. The idea that you have to run the engine a bit till the oil runs smoothly. Don't shift into second when it's cold. And when its fully warmed up, it's alive. Tingles your spine, and on the newer cars 599 the shifts are so savage, it's like being hit in the back of the head.

Well... hello there...I'm in love...1964 was a good year.
Lucky duck! Gosh that looks like so much freaking fun!
Superb car. Superb sound. The old days were best!
Go to Petrolicious and check out the video on the GTO Ferrari....Awesome
One day, i will own the lineup of GTO models, F-models and SF-models. Im gonna sitt in my garage and just watch theese beautiful machines.
Aqui es cuando uno se da cuenta que no importa la aceleración, top speed, frenado, fuerzas g etc. Solo disfrutar de ese sonido y potencia real
I prefer this shape of GTO, it’s like a 250 LM that had the proportions reversed front to back. Beautiful.
Music title?
A time period we're fine engineering, turns to.... PURE... art form and sound*
Great to see it actually being driven and not sitting in the garage as an asset or simply status symbol
New subscriber for that piece of art.

The interior is an elegant piece of сrаp (from the safety and comfort perspective)
Can you say me name of the beautiful music please?🙏🏼
Does anyone know the title of this magnificent song? 🙏🙏

Great video…
Mille Grazie!

Amazing car. Where can you buy driving gloves like that?
Looks like chassis 4675GT owned by lionshead west collection, originally raced in 1964 Targa Florio

Ferrari V12
I wonder what Ferraris would be like today is Enzo were still alive and active.
