In wartime there would be no more access to electricity, clean water, nevermind the internet. there will be *no food* in supermarkets, and all supply chains cut off, like essential medications and supplements. If you think pandemic was bad and everyone was fighting over toilet paper, you are not going to want to go through a nuclear war and survive it

You obviously don’t understand the aftermath of a nuclear war. China does not need to lob any nuclear bombs to the US. All it needs to do is detonate all their 300+ inside China and the end result is exactly the same as shooting it over to the US. It is not 50-60 cities in the US and thousands of cities in China. The resulting nuclear fallout will lower global temperatures by up to 8C resulting in 99% destruction of agriculture globally and radioactive particles will spread throughout the world, those who die immediately will be the lucky ones, those who don’t will face starvation, mutations, the EMP resulting from the detonation will kill off anything with electronics (which is pretty much everything from our water systems, electricity systems and transportation system) and disintegration of global order. A nuclear war between the US and China will result in killing off more than 90% of the world population. So yes, we WILL ONLY suffer once, that once will bring in the best case the global collapse of civilisation globally or in the worst case the extinction of all biological life on the planet. We won’t suffer again because we will be back in the stone age assuming the best case scenario. Seriously 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ statement you made
This is why a nuclear war is referred to as MAD (Mutually assured destruction)

    • @yaqiwang5242

Whether the US will provoke a war in Taiwan depends on the wisdom of the Chinese people in Taiwan. I am betting on Taiwan to elect the KMT in January 2024. If so, the war can be averted, and the US will try another flash point to instigate a war. I am betting on the Chinese to continue to settle border disputes so that my children and grandchildren can live in a better world.

I'm wondering about the structural issues related to an active US military involvement in Taiwan:
    1. Is it guaranteed that our Asian allies will allow US conflict actions to be based on their territory? Wouldn't China strike those assets?
    2. If not, is an ocean based strategy sustainable?
    3. Have US war planners ignored the idea of a conventional reaction strike on the US mainland if the Chinese mainland is struck?
    4. Why is the government of Taiwan not recognized as escaping losers of a civil war which, under allied military protection, allowed them to invade and conquer Formosa/Taiwan as a refuge until the West could reestablish them as the puppet state they were meant to be?

    • @spafon7799
      @spafon7799 ปีที่แล้ว

In answer to 4: It is because Chinese propaganda doesn't automatically get the status of accepted truth.
How about this: We recognize the real losers in the civil war as the CCP which sat by and let the nationalists defeat Japan and then when the nationalist army was depleted from the fighting the CCP swooped in and defeated them. But was too cowardly to take Taiwan.
There is a virtual consensus in the world on one China. How about One China being governed by the government that has proven superior. The system of government used in Taiwan. Not only is it a free country rather than a fascist country like the CCP regime, but it has a much more successful economy.

The "one CHINA" principle meant precisely that ...
    i) there is only one CHINA and Taiwan is an integral part of CHINA ... and
ii) the government of PRC🇨🇳 is the sole legitimate representative government of CHINA .
IMO, on the international arena (在国际舞台上) wherein CHINA has geopolitical relations with other nations, the political leaders on Taiwan region, (refusing to accept the fact that the PRC🇨🇳 is the sole legitimate representative government CHINA), will inadvertently provide an excuse for US🇺🇲& its Allies to shift surreptitiously their "one China" policy to become a "one China, one Taiwan" policy and also provide an excuse for US🇺🇲 & its Allies to manipulate and spin the Taiwan problem as an "ideological issue of democracy vs autocracy" and to sell more military arms for them to continue the old unfinished 1949 civil war.
IMO, as long as the current "one CHINA" status quo (across the Taiwan Strait) remains unchanged, PRC🇨🇳 will exercise great restraint and patience to achieve reunification by peaceful mean.
Let's pray and hope that the Chinese people (中华民族) living on both sides of the Taiwan Strait will have peace, progress, prosperity and happiness.

    Don't change the formula.
It would be even better to make the formula unchangeable. One (territorial) China which include the island of Taiwan. A Taiwan that is self governing like it is today and for the government of Taiwan to uphold the sovereignty of China over the island territory. This will end foreign interference of China over Taiwan.

You are at the epicenter of a hysterical anti-China propaganda campaign in Japan. It is bad enough in the US but Japan is especially being targeted with lies about China. China wants peace with Taiwan, and happy to have it running with its own separate system, despite being in a stable relationship and partnership with China. The US is endlessly running proxy wars around the world by taking over the media after sponsoring a leader that can be elected by being provided the larger funding campaign over competitors, and then creating hatred with a neighbor and destroying the country it claims to be protecting - same routine time after time.

Does Taiwan not have a constitution? Are its political parties not required to abide by the constitution? Taiwan's constitution clearly states that the Taiwan island is only a part of its territory and that the rest includes the mainland. If someone wants independence, leave the island, otherwise the mainland, as part of its "territory," considers it obligated to "help" Taiwan maintain its constitutional dignity.
