I had one for 4 years and a half and this was the best vehicule I had in 40 years. No recalls for the whole time I had it. I changed it because I wanted to get a new Canyon 2023. But if I had to by a new SUV then the Blazer RS is still on top of the list for me. ;)
We have a ‘22 that just turned 87k miles. Tires, oil changes and air filter is all its cost us. It has been in for a trans and diff flush based off mileage but it still honestly drives like it has 10k on it.
I've had my Blazer RS for 4 years and absolutely nothing wrong, no recalls or issues. BTW, the Cadillac XT5 has the reg. chassis while the Blazer is wide track.
How is the range for trips where you're driving 70-80 mph on the highway? I heard it drops a lot when driving higher speeds compared to 45-55 city driving.
You drive a lot, or drive far. Stay safe. My company just gave me an AWD 2024 Trailblazer with the Turbo engine. The last vehicle I used for them I put 250k on a 2014 Ford Edge. But I got that one in 2020 with 80k on it. Yeah that's right, I put about 45K a year on their vehicles because I have to go everywhere in Nevada and California. This one will get as much love as possible. It's a very nice vehicle.
This is very nice, but I have a question. Why does my Trax 2RS have a bigger infotainment screen a full digital dash, that both look better? I love the exterior style, but the dash is a bit of a letdown.
Been looking at Outback and Mazda CX50, but the Blazer recently caught my eye. Really liking the V6 and power it puts out compared to the competition. Reliability is the question mark for me.
The nice thing about buying a vehicle new is you are the one that maintains it. They are solid vehicles with proper services. You don’t have to worry about a turbo or cvt.
@@trx4957 the rear park would be on the screen when the vehicle is in reverse. Adaptive cruise would be on the steering wheel which will follow the vehicle in front also apply the brake and gas when the vehicle ahead is slowing down or driving up to the set speed.
So, why does it have the red paint on the a/c vents? I like the floor mats a lot. They remind me of the Weathertech brand. I worry about the glass roof and hail storms. Could you imagine? No way! So the Blazer is like that Cadilac ? The engine sounds decent.
Got one about 4 months ago. Loved the vehicle until....... at 5,400 miles the transmission went out. It's still at the dealer, so I don't know how long it's going to be before I get it back. I've been a die hard GMC guy with having a Terrain and a couple of Acadia's. Hopefully this is a fluke! Not what I would of expected from a $48,000 vehicle.
I paid mine 56000.00 CAD in 2019 and traded it in December 2023 for 30000.00 CAD when I got my new truck. And it got 96000 kms on the dial ! So I guess this no so bad for a 4.5 years old Blazer RS.
So did they fix the peeling facia? Did they address any of the radio issues with Apple phones or the USB plug issue? Did they fix the shifter assembly that causes the car to think it is not in park? Did they address the known issue with the radiator that eventually leaks around 50k miles? How about the transmission issues? Does it have better tires than they put on the 2019? I really see not much change from the 2019 to the 2024 ... just a bigger radio and led tail lights ..
@@dracianfury325I heard from a dealership the Blazers dash will now look like what comes in the electric version. Basically no more analog displays. Honestly pretty nice.
The biggest problem is that it doesn't compete with the Bronco or the jeep which was its original purpose. Why'd Chevy make it a street truck with no power ? It doesn't even compete with the trackhawk, or urus ... what is its purpose?
After leasing 15 Jeep Grand Cherokees from 2000-2020 ( my wife and I combined ), I decided to change brands. So last month I leased a 2024 Blazer. On day 12 and 280 miles, the transmission crapped the bed. Step on the gas and the car redlines and goes nowhere quick. Vehicle sits at the dealer being fixed as I type this. Hoping it’s not going to be a vehicle that constantly needs repair. Other than this current hiccup, I like the vehicle.
@@davidhorne2326 after about 30 days I got the vehicle back. I was given a new Silverado to drive while the BLAZER was being fixed. After complaining to GM about my issue they gave me 750.00 in reward points to put toward car payments. Worked out well since I was able to make basically two payments while driving a new Silverado. My new transmission now has 2500 miles on it. Have not had the same issue that caused me to take it in but…..every so often the car will be at 30-35 mph and at 2000 rpm’s. In order for it to shift I will put it in auto stick mode and then go back to the normal mode and the car shifts. Maybe done it 3 or 4 times since I got the vehicle back in April? Other issue I had happen once is the dash locked up. Speedometer stuck at 40mph, odometer not moving ( although that was nice..ha), Calls I were on were being switched to radio and then back to the person I was talking to. Door locks weren’t working ( on the door handle outside of car ). Shut the car off and the dash stayed lit up showing the speedometer stuck at 40. Happened just one time and hasn’t happened again. That was back in early June.
Too expensive for a Chevy. You can get a BMW or Mercedes for near the same price. Ridiculous! Hey Chevy, you know that other brands are ahead of you? Like nearly all? (Except Dodge and Ford and Jeep.) Slash your prices, your quality sucks.
