    Ahhhh! This tutorial, as well as your others, has made my stumbling blocks much more easier to navigate now. I cannot believe the ease of this now where I over complicated the whole process on my last attempt, quickly giving up and taking it to a different app that allowed collage but limited how I could use their function. Thank you!

    Thank you! I'm using Affinity Photo for iPad. I got almost everything to behave as you described, except for the outer border. I did everything in exactly the same order as yourself, and the dialogue boxes for the layer outline function were identical to yours, but nothing appeared. Outline, Inside alignment, solid colour - white, radius set to 20 px, Opacity reducted to zero. Blend mode to normal. Do you have any suggestions? Many thanks.

    • @WillNewcomb
      @WillNewcomb 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Seems I've found my answer. When setting up the borders for the partial frames, I need to have the alignment set to Centre. Then when creating the overall border I need to set the alignment to Inside, the Fill Opacity to zero, and the border opacity to 100%, then set the radius. This worked on a new creation but failed to work retrospectively on my first try. Seems I need to get it right first time!!!

    • @AffinityRevolution
      @AffinityRevolution  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm... I'm not sure. You might have used the Channels Panel to change it to greyscale. I'd close your current document, and open a new one, since I'm not 100% sure how you made it greyscale. If you did use the Channel Panel though, you can reset the colors by pressing the circular arrow icon at the top right of the panel.

      Hmmm... it's hard for me to know what's going wrong without being able to see your screen. I'd post your question with a screenshot on the Affinity forums: forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/5-affinity-on-desktop-questions-mac-and-windows/

    The Chicago Area Photo clubs are having a postcard contest, I planning to use this for one of my postcard. On another note, I was trying to make a macro of the set up, but was having trouble.

    Everything goes wrong at 6:50 for me. I drag the photo to the right of the shape and after that it is no longer visible. The layer is there but the photo is not visible "through" the rectangle.
