This presentation is impressive for many reasons. Greatest impact comes from realizing, with each part of the tour, that you are thoughtful, careful mariners. I love the electronics augmented with manual controls. I love the backups for everything. The extra motor on a separate electrical buss and fuel supply is a superb design! Patterning my journey against the gold standard you've set!
I must say this was the best Nordhavn marketing I have seen, two years from retirement and considering it over a Nordic Tug...however your daughter stole the show...she could sell a 100 boats...you are blessed.

Sam Winston James - Catalina is a special place for us. We started cruising to the island in our first boat 20 years ago when living in San Diego so it holds a lot of memories. It’s changed a lot but still a nice place and we are on the island for the week of the Thanksgiving holiday. We will put together a video of our passage from SF to Catalina in the near future.

I have watched a lot of Nordhavn pics, whether by the company or other corporate or private owners/sellers, and this is by far the best video I have watched. The basic layout is the same from 40 up to about 93. The things like each and every instrument, securing the anchor, each item in the engine room, etc are maybe common knowledge but their operation is well explained. All of you 3 did a great job. Time is not an issue but money is, so in the mean time I live vicariously LOL. Good luck and safe travels.

Excellent presentation. I particularly liked your explanation of the instruments. AND one who has never owned a large boat I found your explanations stunning and extremely helpful. I had seen many boats of this size on you tube but no one had explained in more details what all the instruments were for and how they helped in the overall picture. Actually before running across your you tube I was about to search instrument s and explanations in the wheel house of a trawler. Your girl could probably sell the old shoes off a coal miner.:)
I was taking my usual morning walk around Dana Point Harbor and right near the Nordhavn office I spotted a 40' that was new in the slip. As I looked at the stern, sure enough it was Cassidy! This is not a channel that I normally watch, but credit where credit is due, you folks did an outstanding job with this boat tour! Very thorough, and no cheesy sound track. lol I normally don't like the cutaway scene change to the next location because it leaves the viewer disoriented, but you handled it very well and kept the viewer well updated regarding their location from scene to scene. Congrats... on livin' the dream. :)

Great boats and a great design! I was considering buying a Nordhavn couple of years back but ended up with an older motorsailor instead, a Fisher, but the wheelhouse design is the same. A really great walktrough of the boat showing all the systems as well as lockers and everything. seems to be quite some storagerooms and lockers onboard. Great for longer passagemaking and liveaboard. great vid!!
