    dude this works. i thought this would be bullshit with all the other things i've tried, but low and behold: bam....so it makes sense, dawn for dirt, bubbly from hydrogen peroxide to work in and baking soda naturally pulls things up and out....and i've actually scrubbed less with this than other things i've done. I am impressed, THANK YOU!!!

    This is amazing, my white grout in my kitchen has not been sealed and I have two dogs (one giant dog and one old medium) two cats one really old and one barely out of kitten hood. And I cook and can and make my own cosmetics, plus I have a man in the house. The grout gets a good scrub one a year, but despite frequent moppings, it gets really gross. This recipe worked like a dream. I scrubbed it into the grout without a lot of effort, let it sit for a few minutes, mopped it up, and it looks like new. I am going to seal it now that I’ve been able to get it really clean. Thumbs up and I’m following this little miracle worker to see what other amazing ideas she has.

      Would it work with vinegar?

    • @thesimplehomeplace
      @thesimplehomeplace  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@she.is.literal great question! You should not mix hydrogen peroxide and vinegar together because it will create a toxic gas. If you wanted to replace the hydrogen peroxide with vinegar, you could, but you may not get the whitening effect. It should clean the dirt and grime from the grout though!

    Funny.. Why u brush it off? If the cleaning ingrediants really effective u not need to brush it. Brush the tiles itself with water only still the dirt goes out.. why must to waste your sodium bicarbonate n vineger

    • @thesimplehomeplace
      @thesimplehomeplace  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Putting the mixture on the grout helps to brighten it. When you brush it, you're removing the dirt and grime as well. The baking soda helps add extra grit to really get it clean. If you just let it sit and rinse it off without brushing it, it will work, just not as well.

      You would be correct. But this is actually safe and works wonders for cleaning most things in your home. I used to professionally clean Show Model homes and I’ve been using this method to clean grout, sinks and bathrooms for years. You can also throw some vinegar in there and that will work too!
