Update: Pretendo has been holding out on a exploit to have a DNS change work without homebrewing or modding your Wii U! It's limited, but Miiverse still works! Only for Wii U, not 3DS. It's called SSSL, It's for Wii U Ver. 5.5.5 or higher. Hope you find this useful!

Does Pretendo work on Cemu? Cause that'd be a LOT easier for me to deal with than modding a console I rarely use.

The whole reason Nintendo took down Yuzu was because of the fact they basically promoted piracy by gloating about being able to play games like TotK and XBC3 early via piracy with their emulator
Accepting donations to help maintain the software is not illegal, and in Pretendo's case due to its reliance on hosting a large amount of servers, it's needed to stay afloat
Yes Pretendo needs donations to stay alive. Without donations their is no Pretendo.

I just have a question, will EVERY game have online supported by this? Like, even the most remote and forgotten games?
The most known games will get support first because we have the most information about them. Really obscure games could take a while, but it’s not impossible to bring all of them back

I kinda hope Pretendo brings back battling and trading on the Pokemon games as well. Outside of trying to beat the Pokedex, battling and trading online was one of the reasons I didn't get bored with Ultra Sun and Y
I think they're gonna work on it at some point, but yeah, I hope they do. Otherwise I am so going to miss wonder trade...

Hopefully they set it up like the DS games DNS trick. Host a GTS, allow online trading/Battling, have all the mystery gifts available to access.😊
Pretendo isn't going to get sued, Yuzu deserved it because they monetized their emulator while the switch is still getting sold to the public!

@@Sanchan From my point of view I'm pretty sure pretendo will be fine just the way they are, Yuzu deserved it through because they monetized their emulator while the switch is still getting sold to the public and has patches behind a paywall on patreon.
However with the 3DS and Wii U no longer getting sold it should be fine.
@@l64bros19 I agree. But, Nintendo went after rom sites and those systems were gone a while ago. At the moment, Pretendo will be ok as you said.

I have a question, on juxtaposition/miiverse 3DS, every community gives an error code 404 page not found, & this has been going on for the past few days. What do I do???
i have one question that doesn't really matter, but can i have pretendo network, with all features BUT without juxtaposition? It just doesnt feel like Miiverse to me, I want to keep rverse since I feel like it's more like miiverse. If I can, are there any disadvantages?

So because it’s After 4/8/2024 my granddaughter can’t find Pretendo?? HELP! I just bought her this last Christmas ( it was all she wanted) she LOVES SPLATOON 💔and if we can’t log into “Pertendo” we’re screwed?? HELP😖
BUT, she can transfer her saves from her real Nintendo account to her “Pretendo” account if you decide to homebrew it by using a homebrew application called “save mii” which allows you to transfer saves between accounts so she can keep all her progress.
One more thing, if you do decide to homebrew make sure you follow what the Wii U Hacks Guide says EXACTLY so you don’t run the risk of homebrewing it :)
Does this also allow some sort of connection to Pokemon home? Or will that feature be entirely gone after the 14th?
I hope Pretendo makes servers for the Pokemon games, when they do, I'll gladly install their servers.
It seems to be in the progress sheet in the works.

@@JudithS8931 pretendo website, make an account. Use that same info to login to ur Wii U.. change ur wifi setting and put in the DNS numbers pretendo provides on thier website. No need for hacks. As of now I can play Mario kart 8 online. Thanx Pretendo!

Yes as the SERVER's went so DID those Tablet dungeons and I'm NOT willing to spend 150+ on a HACKED Model 3DS from CHINESE owned websites just to access them and WITHOUT a Hacked Model 3DS its impossible to access THOSE.

On 3DS, your save data is saved because you “link” your PNID and your NNID. That’s how I’m playing acnl.

I have pretendo installed as well and I can play online on mario kart with it but miiverse doesn't work on it, I was using Rverse before, when I downloaded pretendo it overwrote that, a little more info if it helps, the create account section doesn't work yet i'm guessing that's after Nintendo network goes down i'll be able to create the Pretendo one or link the one I already made on there site maybe then Miiverse/juxtaposition will work?
