I’m pretty sure it’s more due to the fact that his immunity to the drug addiction is temporary as that addiction binds to him on a molecular level. It’s the same injection that made him Spider-Man in the first place

Nah he overwrote his dna to it’s original format to free himself from the rapture addiction. The process was sabotaged making him 50% spider. He cured the rapture addiction though(or at least in the comics)

He already did twice. First in the Into the Spider-verse post-credits scene, second in the beginning of Across the Spider-verse while talking to Gwen before beating the Renaissance Vulture.
He just didn't get to actually make a whole little story explaining how he got his powers because in the post-credits scene he just goes to the Earth of the "pointing meme" Spiderman right after saying it, and in the Across the Spider-verse he gets cut off by Gwen.

Didn't seem to work during the Renaissance Vulture fight in Spider-Woman/Gen Stacy's universe, he was caught off guard, though his super hearing should have helped with that.
Figured since he also said he’s “not like the others” as he was injecting himself. And the the gun he used resembled a spider head.
The shot is also made in the same way as when Miles got bit, I mean it was obvious what it did
He forcibly mixed his dna with a spiders, one of my favorite things about this new one is that they’re making his powers more like a constant drug addiction that he needs in order to be powerful, rather than something he feels cursed with because he wanted to be like Peter Parker from his universe.

Or it could be to tone down his senses because since he wasn't bitten and basically had his DNA spliced with a spider he doesn't have spidersense but enhanced senses all around. And because of that he has natural night vision but his eyes are sensitive to sunlight so he would usually be wearing sunglasses. But considering when he took his injection it glossed over his eyes it could probably be just some type of lens for his eyes
It’s really simple, he has to constantly splice his own dna with that of a spider and it lets him keep his spider-like abilities in check.

the reason he has fangs is because in real life, spiders have fangs that can inject venom to paralyze their pray.
and why he has talons is because,
spiders have tiny claws to help them stick to walls.
And the strength is by his genetic coding.

I like to think it dampens his spider half since it would get very not good if he was half feral the meds basically keep his animalistic instincts at bay so he can work and capture anomalies

Could also be a reason he needed to get more buff because unlike pavitr and miles who just get bigger, he didnt have the same level of super strength anymore if he wanted to remain level headed and in control so he had to work his body to its limit. Maybe he also had natural webs too but like how tobey lost his so did miguel but miguel chose to make his own afterwards instead

This makes me think of Miguel as an anomaly because he wasn't bitten by a spider.
He's not the only one though. Pavitr wasn't bitten by a spider, but got his powers from a god. Lady Spider was in there and she doesn't even have powers, she uses spider based gadgets. I don't think Miguel has ever counted "being bitten by a spider" as a prerequisite for being Spider-Man.

No, he's not a vampire. His genes were spliced with that of a spiders, giving him the abilities he has. Fangs, retractable claws kn his fingers, organic webbing, super strength, and hightened senses and vision that allows him to see in the dark. He also can produce a type of non deadly venom that paralyzes the person he bites. So no, nothing to do with being a vampire and needing blood. He just cheats to be comparable to the natural abilities of a Spider Man.

My explanation is the injection is most likely his version of rapture, however heavily modified to give him enhanced stamina and energy for all of his animalistic moves and strength. A side effect I think is it also make him more angry as symbolized with his red eyes and tendency to lose his temper.

That would make sense but what you see with the little thingys latching onto his Blood and DNA is similar to the description of how Rapture was a super drug that, once taken would plant itself onto the person's dna and bloodstream and make them permanently addicted, which is why Miguel spliced his dna with a spider's dna, but I'm not sure if he was ever cured of his addiction, so this might actually just be rapture.
