First time I was aware of Spider-Man 2099 it was way back as an unlockable costume for the PS1 Spider-Man game. Finding out more about him, I thought his power base was so cool and different with the talons and venom fangs. Spider-Man provided the basis of a spider enhanced being (proportionate strength, speed, reflexes, agility etc.) but 2099 really opened up the question "How else could spider powers manifest"?

I love Spidey 2099--i have all the original 2099 comics from when they first came out. Spidey 2099 is one of the 2099 characters that truly worked--the other being Doom 2099. I guess they wanted him to have venom like a spider but didn't want him killing every person he bites.

Fair and respectable, he's definitely the least "true-to-original" of any Spider-Man. Even Spiders-Man (a hivemind of spiders that *think* they're Peter Parker) are still more true2og. However, that makes him *as good as Peter,* in his own right. He isn't just Peter, and he doesn't build off the idea of Peter like others such as Miles do, it doesn't make him better or worse but it makes him stand on his own as a sort of parallel or adjacent. Of Spider-Man characters, he's my second favorite, tied with Agent Venom. Third belongs to Peter and Miles, I still love them. First is Eddie Brock's Venom, and Andrea Benton's goth/punk Mania (venom clone) is an honorable mention that I can't put a number on.

It depends on writer. The mechanical webshooters were invented as a plot device, if they run out in the middle of a fight it creates drama and tension, +allows for more creativity with how Pete makes them. As a writing tool, they're better than the bio webshooters, so most variations use mechanical webshooters. However yes, certain comic runs and televised media do use the biological webshooters instead. The uniqueness to Miguel is that it's inherent to his character to have biological webshooters. He's more "spider" than "man" compared to other Spider Men, so him having natural webbing is intrinsic to the character and can't be taken away. However, the writers learned to create drama using the lack of creativity behind the natural webs since not manually making them means no customization or enhancements, leading to the webs being useless on some enemies and having the same effect as the mechanical webs failing or running out of webfluid midfight.
Now it makes sense why they made a mayate spiderman, it's like they don't wan't a plausible visage of the future so they blackwash or corrupt an image, they did it to Batman Beyond by giving his outfit and armor to "Batwoman" and setting it in prime present regardless of universe.
Imagine a superior version of the Ultimate symbiote, would fit the theme since the Ultimate Venom is just a lab experiment originally made as a cure to cancer. Maybe Alchemax could have gotten their hands on the original blueprints, redesigned it into an intentional bioweapon instead of an accidental one; Miguel is just doing his thing and winds up breaking a container or vial and boom, bonded, he's convinced to keep it for a time purely because of him immediately noticing the benefits in the middle of his fight. Ofc, idk a lot about the 2099 lore, they prolly already have a Venom and it's prolly an alien (I don't dislike it, just think a man-made horror fits the scifi cyber-dystopia theme more)

Fair and respectable, he's definitely the least "true-to-original" of any Spider-Man. Even Spiders-Man (a hivemind of spiders that *think* they're Peter Parker) are still more true2og.
However, that makes him *as good as Peter,* in his own right. He isn't just Peter, and he doesn't build off the idea of Peter like others such as Miles do, it doesn't make him better or worse but it makes him stand on his own as a sort of parallel or adjacent.
Of Spider-Man characters, he's my second favorite, tied with Agent Venom. Third belongs to Peter and Miles, I still love them. First is Eddie Brock's Venom, and Andrea Benton's goth/punk Mania (venom clone) is an honorable mention that I can't put a number on.

Maybe this is just the MCU but I thought the original Peter Parker had organic webs that came from his body as well? Just started my dip into the comics so I could be completely wrong. Anyone care to help me out here?
It depends on writer.
The mechanical webshooters were invented as a plot device, if they run out in the middle of a fight it creates drama and tension, +allows for more creativity with how Pete makes them.
As a writing tool, they're better than the bio webshooters, so most variations use mechanical webshooters. However yes, certain comic runs and televised media do use the biological webshooters instead.
The uniqueness to Miguel is that it's inherent to his character to have biological webshooters. He's more "spider" than "man" compared to other Spider Men, so him having natural webbing is intrinsic to the character and can't be taken away.
However, the writers learned to create drama using the lack of creativity behind the natural webs since not manually making them means no customization or enhancements, leading to the webs being useless on some enemies and having the same effect as the mechanical webs failing or running out of webfluid midfight.
Now it makes sense why they made a mayate spiderman, it's like they don't wan't a plausible visage of the future so they blackwash or corrupt an image, they did it to Batman Beyond by giving his outfit and armor to "Batwoman" and setting it in prime present regardless of universe.

Imagine a superior version of the Ultimate symbiote, would fit the theme since the Ultimate Venom is just a lab experiment originally made as a cure to cancer. Maybe Alchemax could have gotten their hands on the original blueprints, redesigned it into an intentional bioweapon instead of an accidental one; Miguel is just doing his thing and winds up breaking a container or vial and boom, bonded, he's convinced to keep it for a time purely because of him immediately noticing the benefits in the middle of his fight.
Ofc, idk a lot about the 2099 lore, they prolly already have a Venom and it's prolly an alien (I don't dislike it, just think a man-made horror fits the scifi cyber-dystopia theme more)
