I have some criticism tho. The moment with the big tentacle the music was a bit too slow and calm for what happened at screen, a big violin screeching noise at the beginning would make me jump and make it way scarier. Also some necromorphs should sounds a bit more humanlike
@@PrasathMGM DS audio wins even today, I still use it to test surround setups when I help the family get theirs setup, true surround sound (not virtual surround like you see on headsets) in DS is nothing short of phenomenal.
"LB + RB TO TAKE OFF" and "A" to open doors totally ruins the immersion...the HUD is not supposed to look like a HUD -_- can't believe they didn't understand that...i mean might as well just give us a regular HUD with health and ammo count on the bottom right, a mini map on the top left and compass with waypoint at the top of the screen at that point. Dead Space isn't supposed to feel like a video game, it's an experience...
Same for me and strange thing considering that at that time I played it with a GT 9600 1GB and now you need an RTX 2070 8GB to play it as seen in the video xD

The way this player is using the flamethrower at the end is interesting. They set the necromorph on fire with a single blast and then finish it off with the plasma cutter. Taking less shots. It’s a utility use for the flamethrower that I’ve never considered before. Akin to the plasma pistol in Halo.

Graphics are overrated - all graphics have been good enough since the 360/PS3, and the original graphics were fine. The same old linear, unoriginal FPS gameplay is more of concern for £70. Plus, it says it only requires 316MB disk space LOL.
Here’s what I noticed about the Necromorph AI. Enhanced necromorphs take a substantial beating, so much that you have to de-limb them entirely in order to stop them.
@Raheem Stephens I have to ask, if this was AI wouldn't the enemies know how to maneuver better, learn as they get hit? It does sound more like just increased health and more precise damage point areas.
A little detail they missed here but might include later: when in vaccuum, Isaac used to raise his legs more as he walked as the physics in places like those changed

Ok, this time I will make it through the whole game. Back in the day I started it like 5 times but always stopped at some point, now I'm an adult. I can do this! This is exactly what I like.
My wish is to include Dualsense support for ps5 as well as pc. The haptic feedback, controller audio, and adaptive trigger would increase the immersion greatly. Also integrated dolby atmos support.

None of the animations here are done yet, the devs already talked about fixing them and making issac react to his surroundings more to one of the playtesters where the footage came from.
ive been saying it for a while, yes the environments and level of detail look absolutely stunning. my main gripe that im having and after tons of more gameplay videos it doesnt look like itll be changed, but its the animations for not only isaac but the necromorphs as well look very stiff and slow. like the lurker during the decontaminton room before i think it was the med bay, ran very slow and didnt even jump on the walls, same with the leaper that shows up shortly after. i will say that the tentacle at the midway through this video still looks amazing and i think they did a fantastic job with adding that back in. considering that sequence almost broke the development of the original dead space.
2:00 I like how we get to seem them get torn apart and the infector, on 1 leg, is still moving. 2:12 Probably not intentional but I do like to be able to see the necromorphs crawl through the ceiling/vents.
the light foot steps didn't sit well wth me at first but now I like them. You can feel his anxiety as he's moving around stepping fast to try to get where he's going fast but to scared to run and make noise.
I have trouble seeing the aiming reticle when Isaac has his flashlight on sometimes. It has something to do with the particle effects of the smoke and mist (3:50). Might be an issue in a game where precise aim is so important.
is it just me, or do I feel that stasis is like a bug and doesn't freeze them when it should? Like the first necromorph, it hit it head-on and didn't freeze it, maybe I'm losing something but I just don't get it

I like how they added the Zero-G movement from 2 and 3 and changed the secondary fire for the pulse rifle to something similar to the one from the sequel. ( The one from the original game was very impractical, not very useful, and ate through your ammunition faster than you can say, "What's the point of that?".) Also, spoilers ahead. One thing that I'm hoping for is that they came up with a more plausible reason for the USM Valor to crash. That was a topic of speculation and controversy for quite a while. Edited for grammar.

DS1 necromphrs goes crazy mode when you decapitate them. If I'm not wrong, only in DS3 has some kind of necromorphs, that are very resistant to damage where the weakpoint is the head. but is not a common aspect

I kind of wish they didn't "fix" the Zero G sections. Nothing wrong with how they were in 2, but you could argue the difficulty in traversing with the more limiting system in 1, meaning you can't fly, was a lot more nerve wracking. At least it was for me. I personally would have just made the 1 system perhaps easier and snappier to jump from one side to the other, but even than I can't say it makes the game any scarier. I always thought what made Zero G scary in Dead Space 1 was the thought/realization that the Necromorphs were more suited to space than you were and had a significant advantage over you in those areas due to their perverse biological assets. I feel like the ease of flying through these areas kind of dilutes the dread one would usually feel entering these places.

Playing through the original game the sound there is amazing in surround you hear so many things around it makes for a really scary atmosphere

Yeah, transitions between animations don't feel right
Is part of the mechanic. DS1 is clunkier than all of the sequels. You will get used after 20 minutes of fighting gameplay.

I like that you can still "hear" the vibration of the gun firing, that's how'd I'd expect it to actually be in space.
I hope the way weapons fire look different when fully upgraded like they do in DS1 and DS2. Fully upgraded plasma cutter in 2 is so satisfying
