You should rename the title to "An Innovation in Fan Translations" Not just Saturn.
This raised the bar for every ongoing and future project like it, and I have nothing but love for the team that made this happen!
    Great video!

Yall blew this out of the park gents! Both the Translation team, as well as the Shiro Crew making sure to keep the community up to date on its progress. Seeing this game finally brought to the west in a way that allows for a complete experience for non-Japanese speaking folks is a dream come true, and I truly hope that countless numbers of gamers jump on the chance to experience this masterclass in mecha greatness.

game looks super fun like a mecha space harrier. and it's wild that it got an english dub along with it's translation. a dub that woulda fit perfectly in that 90s dubbing era.

Saturn translations are on FIRE after so many years of hopelessness. I wonder how much of it has to do with emulation finally getting better and easier so people who didn't own Saturn and import games in the late 90s could see how incredible it was and one of the best consoles of all time. I think a lot of gamers just never knew.

@@chanhjohnnguyen1867 I think the Shining Force translation project was driven by people playing on actual hardware but all the rest of this recent wave has been driven by emulation and a little by the collector market boom...and I'm fine with it either way!!! Keep them coming. Some of these projects I never even dreamt of, this one was just an awesome bonus because the game was playable.

I saw pieces of footage of the game on Matt McMuscles' recent Wha Happun? episode on the Sega Saturn. Despite being mostly PlayStation oriented, given that I grew up with PlayStation throughout my childhood, but having shifted myself purely towards PC as well as Asia in recent years as a result of the incredible Hentai hype on Steam back in the late 2010s thanks to a little breakout title from Hong Kong called Mirror, looking at the footage, I became a little curious about the game, but didn't really know the name of it until I saw a video in my feed of MiSTer FPGA DE10 NANO testing games on the Sega Saturn, where one of the "MISSes" from the game is shown on the thumbnail.
And I'm asking myself "What exactly is this game? It must be something really good....". That's when I saw more footage of the game, then looked into the list of games shown in the video and that's when I found the name of "Bulk Slash". That's how, after doing some research on the game, I finally came across this very video that makes me become interested in playing the game.
Can't really believe that the company famous for Bomberman and Bloody Roar, both of which I knew from the PlayStation, before their acquisition by the now-dreaded Konami, made this.
I can always say the Japanese Sega Saturn has a more incredible library than of what the PlayStation had despite its super-complex architecture that, as we knew, was an absolute &!+

I hope you guys become a Translation Studio of sorts. The Saturn has so many games that need a translation. I don't know how you could but I think there is a huge untapped market of translating old games, they're always done for free, but with this level of quality here in Bulk Slash I really think you guys at Shiro could become the first actual Retro-Localization team. There are so many games that you could make a profit on. For the Saturn alone there is: Samurai Shodown RPG, Princess Crown, Wachenroder, Madou Monotagari, Blue Seed, Code R, Devil Summoners, Dungeons and Dragons, Gal Act Heroism, Feda Remake, Far Land Saga, Genso Suikoden (has exclusive content), Ginga Densetsu series, Grandia Digital Musem, Keriotosse, Gundam Series, Langrisser series, Lunar 2, Lupin the 3rd series, Mahou Gakuen Lunar, Prikura Daisakusen, Sword & Sworcery, Soeldenerschild, Densetsu no Ogre Battle, Cyber Doll, Blue Breaker, Black Matrix, Baroque, Bakuretsu Hunter R, Back Guiner series, Pu Li Ru La, AnEarth Fantasy Stories, Albert Odyssey Gaiden, Airs Adventure, Advanced World War, and Ronde.
Idk how you could, but you should find a way, it'd be awesome

@@GhibliNova not sure what you mean by this. There is still red tape with dealing with translations. While the Bulk Slash team owns the copyright to the translation itself, all of the other assets are owned by Konami (at least to the best of our knowledge). Selling the translation causes us to violate another area in copyright law dealing with derivative works because Konami would have a valid claim that there is a loss of income.

".... To make working designs green with envy".... Well, they were kind of a half ass group not the most professional translators. They started business doing office programs then switched to game translations and localization very quickly and did so very loosely. They included tons of their own humor and jokes into the translations that weren't in the original and they did a lot of the voice acting themselves. So putting them up there as the top translation team is an insult. With that being said they WERE a great company in their own right and brought us a lot of awesome games we would of never seen if it wasn't for them. They definitely deserve a lot of respect for what they did to the American game industry but shouldn't be compared to the tops in the field. Theres a reason most of their games are modded and re released as "unworking designs"
