Nicely done! We are those who watch to the very end, celebrating with you as you finally have that brew! Looking forward to the next one with the Finn Meister😁
Oh I have loved this series so much, so much lovely scenery and pretty countryside. Couldn't take my eyes off it. Hope you do some more Spring or Autumn walks. Thanks for all your hard work and long walks! See you again. All the best, Tail-end Charlie
Thanks Glen - looked forward to your Dales vids every Sunday evening. Enjoyed every minute despite missing the scenery of the Lake District. More please.
What an epic series! I've had to binge watch as I enjoyed every moment. Your videos are so captivating. You're a brave man. Congratulations on completing this tough journey 😊
Some of us Charlies are even making our way through your back catalogue. The gates and stiles are simply the punctuation without which the walk wouldn't flow correctly. Plus who doesn't love a bit of Black Crag Bingo? "Hey Herdy", the shadow wave, "...How (now brown cow)", "Marsh bar", "Vaaan", "Look at that light". Did I miss any? Oh yes - the trudge of doom/bog of despair and my latest favourite - boulder field of lamentation! Got to be the best hiking TH-cam channel out there.
Congrats lad! As a Mancunian , the moss side reference made me p1ss 😂 you've definitely taken a wrong turn if you end up down them ways 🤣🤣🤣 Keep up gods work 🏆
I have really enjoyed this series. I am 60 and I used to do a lot of walking but my arthritis is too bad now (old injuries coming back to haunt me). So you are walking for me now and I love it. I really wish I could do a good long distance walk again.
If you haven’t already done it or thought about it I recommend the West Highland Way. It gets more spectacular each day travelling from Glasgow to Fort William. I’ve done it twice now as I loved it so much. I used a baggage transfer company so I could look at the views instead of my feet. What I didn’t know at the time was that I had a faulty heart valve and have since had open heart surgery, but I’m still hoping to do it again. I really enjoy all your videos including the gates and stiles so keep it up 😊
Love every minute! Thank you for hiking me through the fells. And yes I watch to the end (pint) every time…..then I watch again. 😂. Love your pup and I’m frequently scared you or he will fall, etc. 😊 My husband says every time: “he didn’t fall…he put the video up so he is fine.” In the driest of ways. 😂😂😂. Love the long hikes, short hikes, van rides. Anything that shows the beauty of where you live. And stop worrying about crumbs in your beard!
Brilliant series. I've done this one + Cumbria Way and may I recommend The Cleveland Way which was the last one I did, which mixes it up with the Yorkshire moors and the Yorkshire coast, personally my favourite but whichever you do I'll be watching.
Completely agree about the camping especially as camping fees are often very nearly the same as a B&B. Also, the ability to dry clothing and boots in a tent are effectively nil.
Hi Glenn,it’s felt like I’ve had a walking holiday with you, very enjoyable all the way,a tip about your favourite Casio watch, get a very small zip tie & make a new loop for the strap it’s better than buying another watch, anyway all the best,Colin P👍,
Tail-end Charlie here, checking in. What a wondeful series Glenn. Thank you! As for future walks, there's so much to choose from, 1000's of miles of named trails, coast path linear walks, multi-day circular walks....the list goes on. One thing is a guarantee, we'll be here with you for every inch of whatever trail you bimble along next!! 🚶👣😊
We really enjoyed everything you've created. We just spent six weeks in the Lakes, using Kendal as our base - an amazing place with great bus and train connections. Now, we're back in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and already planning our next trip to the Lakes in 2025. We’ll be there from March to September and can’t wait! Keep up the fantastic work!
Thank you. You're so calming to watch and seem so good natured. Love that you say hello to sheep and dogs, admire trees etc....I feel like I've just spent 5 hours with the male version of myself !
Stayed for the whole walk, which was brilliant. I have been a Walker in my younger years. However, time has moved on, and injuries to my leg have now made those excursions impossible. It makes me very jealous that all of the new kit is so much better being lighter, etc. Thanks for taking me along, and although I miss those adventures when you're in the cold and rain, I have a comfy armchair and a beer. I'm so grateful. Keep on rambling.
Thanks for the Dales Way tour. I did it myself two weeks ago and your first three episodes were a great guide to what I should expect. I had fewer cow encounters though 😊
Another fantastic series and thoroughly enjoyed each one. Loving the multi day treks and looking forward to the van trips. Oh, and keep the gate clips coming too. More the better 😂👍
Came accross your journey purely by accident and, to be honest, its been the best vid log of the Dales Way I have seen. Many congrats on finishing it and, yes, its a lovely walk. I completed it back in 2017 and am going back next year. If you like coastal walks, then the Southwest Coastal path is a really good one, a tad long, but epic views.
Fascinating series B C !! Great filming and interesting "factoids".. You may want to take a look at the Cleveland Way - plenty of cliff walking alongside the North Sea and plenty of B & B places en route ! It maybe something you ( and us followers ) would enjoy , Cheers and Beers !!
I love watching these films of your journeys. I just watched the film in Ambleside and thoroughly enjoyed that one. Last week I visited Holmfirth (Last of the Summer Wine) with my brother which is another lovely place to visit. However, it was the stunning views and hiking potential on the journey from Stalybridge to Holmfirth that was just staggering. A lovely potential for some stunning photographs especially from Binn Green (A635) car park. Many years ago I lived in Saddleworth and I never knew it and Dovedale was just 10 minutes away from me.
Reach round and give yourself a pat on the back Glenn. That took some doing. Thoroughly enjoyed the 5 hours spent in your company and look forward to your next adventure!
Well now…I think you’re just about ready to head to the States and tackle the Appalachian Trail! You won’t have to hike down roads and through backyards, but you will need about 21 more weeks off and two more pair of shoes. And your tent…(you have a bonus of only dealing w cattle on one mountain top in the whole of the 2200 miles!) 😅 Loving the “long” hike series. Please sir, May I have some more?
Loved this walk Glenn. Not really had this walk in my sights but it's definitely on my radar now. I would wild camp it all the way though. Awesome series and great crack as usual sir. 👏
I prefare the high level walks along ridges. But they all count i nice contrast to your usual walks, thanks again for sharing love the channel, rave on glen
Well done Glen for completing the way, stuck with you all the way, as I have done every video you’ve posted since I found your wonderful channel about a year ago now.
What a wonderful series and so inspiring. Definitely b&b it next time. You can’t beat a full breakfast to start your day off. You deserved that pint, actually , we all did. Can’t wait for the next one.
Yes! I definitely enjoyed this series as well as the trips you have done in the van. Today was a really nice walk, loved having the sausage butties …. Thank you - Gaylin, Ontario Canada
Nice series, very enjoyable all the way through and certainly good to see the whole routes start to finish. Very much appreciate the maps you show of the daily routes, handy for 'short' walk ideas too. Staying in accomodations rather than camping certainly sounds a good idea for the longer trips. Enjoy your next adventure 🤠
Well done Glen, another trail smashed 👏👏 loving the channel and watching all your vlogs and adventures! Looking forwards to your next one and road trip with ickle Fynn …Have a well earned 🍺&🥧💫
Finally finished this one. We watched in 3 parts due to holiday activities. We’re heading back to Dubai tomorrow :( but it was great seeing you at Black Mass. I look forward to the next video/series. I think that when you can charge up more the lav mic is worthwhile and when you are on the fells in future episodes having the zoom camera is great, but apart from that, I think you’ve really found your stride (pun intended) with your videos!!
Watched from start to finish, enjoyed it all. Brings back great memories of the best part of England. Thanks Glenn, keep it up. Road trips in the vaaan also wonderful too.
Hi Glenn watched it all, and brilliant as always. Love the multi day hikes ( got the Cumbria Way on my to do list) looking forward to watching the van trips, the Scotland one last year was epic 👍
I loved this series!! Yes for me personally I love having a base where we can offload all our stuff & have access to all the facilities, especially a nice comfy bed & warm shower. Oh & I love all your videos, but you in the vaann are my favs 😊
Congratulations on your epic journey. Really enjoyed all of your ''banter' and vlogs. When I finished it this Summer - the official end [at 51:24 mins there is a stone seat and plaque] and it was surrounded by loads of bullocks. Thankfully I managed to leave, when another gentleman walked through them all! Looking forward to your next outing. Thanks again.
Been away walking and just caught up with you. Watched all the way thro . You really must evaluate the amount of food you eat ( in your case not a lot atm ) and I’m sure you’ll feel much better and strong when you fuel correctly !. A steam engine doesn’t work properly without a full head of steam , nor will you !. Try the Pembrokeshire costal walk !!. Just done it and it’s stunning . 👍👍👏👏👏👏
Ps. And for the man who complained about the gates/styles you definitely need to send him an hour long montage of all of the squeakiest ones …. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
That's mean....I like it!
As much as we've enjoyed these longer walks, we do miss the hills, little Finn and the wonderful intro music to the Wainwright walks.
CONGRATULATIONS to you for finishing the Dales Way. I have watched every episode and enjoyed them all. 🎉😊
Nicely done! We are those who watch to the very end, celebrating with you as you finally have that brew! Looking forward to the next one with the Finn Meister😁
Another great video Glenn, thanks for taking us along. Really enjoyed this series.
Very much enjoyed your series on the Dales way. Grew up in Grassington and remember walking the route with the Scouts as a teen.
Loved every second of the 5 hours of pure joy, thank you can’t wait for the next one 😀
These long walks have been great fun. More please.
Enjoyed every minute of those five hours. Thanks for taking me with you👍🏼
Oh I have loved this series so much, so much lovely scenery and pretty countryside. Couldn't take my eyes off it. Hope you do some more Spring or Autumn walks. Thanks for all your hard work and long walks! See you again. All the best, Tail-end Charlie
So much enjoyed your Dales Way its inspired us to follow in your footsteps and we've organised it for next April. Look forward to your next adventure.
Me and the wife really enjoyed this series, thanks for bringing us along with you.

Amazing job, well done. Really, really enjoyed watching this series so thank you
Love your videos, very easy and relaxing to watch 😊 Looking forward to the road trip with Finn 🥰
Loved watching the full series, Hopefully more long walks to come 😎
Thank you.... Many many more to come! 😊
Started the new year with Basil Hayden Subtle Smoke and this hike. Cheers to all and Happy New Year!
Thanks, loved watching these. I finished the Dales Way a week ago, what a great walk.
We watched and loved all 5 hours. We've also been to the North East to see the castle because of the video you did on the beach.
Keep inspiring us.
Loved it! Here's to many more LDWs (Hadrian's Wall, Offa's Dyke, the Dales High Way...) but I hope you're going to continue hiking the Wainwrights.
Living the dream Glen. Adventure before dementia 👍🏻
Congrats lad! As a Mancunian , the moss side reference made me p1ss 😂 you've definitely taken a wrong turn if you end up down them ways 🤣🤣🤣 Keep up gods work 🏆

Thanks!
Thank you, that's very generous 🙏
Thank you for these longer trails that I can no longer do. Just lovely

Cleveland Way would be mint!
I'm a tail end Charlie here in Australia. Love your walks! Thanks for taking me along!
Great videos of a great walk in some really great countryside. Thanks
Finally finishing this series, with a bacon buttie, yes it may have taken 2 days to watch, but happily too. Oh and now following you on Patreon!
I love these long ones where you stay somewhere overnight....I love all the content you do, its varied and so interesting, thanks Glenn
Never was a pint so well earned. Thanks for the summer walks Glenn, its been a joy to tag along.
Outstanding! Enjoy that pint!
Completely agree about the camping especially as camping fees are often very nearly the same as a B&B. Also, the ability to dry clothing and boots in a tent are effectively nil.

Liked the camping

If you fancy a coastal walk, the Northumberland Coast Route is superb. Officially, it finishes in Cresswell but its well worth extending to Tynemouth.
Been a great series to watch…. Please do some more
But I love listening to you yap 😊 woo hoo, road trip with Finn can't wait ❤from Michigan
Thanks for the Dales Way tour. I did it myself two weeks ago and your first three episodes were a great guide to what I should expect. I had fewer cow encounters though 😊
I watch to the very end of all your vids. I admit, I do prefer the fell walks but maybe that's because I do them too and that's what I'm into.
Another fantastic series and thoroughly enjoyed each one. Loving the multi day treks and looking forward to the van trips. Oh, and keep the gate clips coming too. More the better 😂👍

Thank you loved every minute off it and yes even the gates 😂
I have stopped at that Cafe in Staveley a few times on my motorcycle. Lovely little cafe.
Fab series Glenn, have watched them all and enjoyed.
Great to see the Dales and Cumbria Way walks all good
The complex at Burnside is a paper mill. Very old but nowadays does specialised paper products. In the past it did the paper for our money!
My favorite quote from this little old lady I know is walking makes for pretty legs. ❤
I really enjoyed watching this series of videos and no doubt when the winter draws in I'll be re-watching them for the beautiful lush views of summer.

Really enjoyed following along with your walks. Thank you taking us with you and looking forward to the next adventure ❤
Well done, hope the last pint went down well. Look forward to your next video whatever you do.
Love everything you do pal keep doing it
Makes my day when you put on a new upload
Keep up the good work 👌
Great series loved them all. The stone seat at 51:23 in the video marks the end of the dalesway. You might recall one at the start also in Ilkley 😊
Yep, talking about no official end point, walked straight past it...
I have loved this series!
Seeing you at Hag end was like seeing Bilbo Baggins getting back to the shire.
Made it to the end 👍 Past two of my old houses. Loved this series 😁
Tail end Charlie here. Watching in Devon. Enjoyed this one very much. Bit of a grueller for you Glenn. Well done.
Loved it. Glad you’ve finished though, I’m exhausted 😉
I thought that sheep “baaaa’ing” was a squeaky gate at first 🤣😂🤣
Definitely enjoyed the 'long walk' series. Coast to Coast next? Thank you.
Loved this walk Glenn. Not really had this walk in my sights but it's definitely on my radar now. I would wild camp it all the way though.

Hugely enjoyed this, thank you! I’d love to see you take on the Cape Wrath trail next!
From two tail end Charlie’s…we loved this trip. Look forward to watching the next road trip. 😊

Really enjoyed it Glenn. We went to Bolton Abbey Riverside after watching this. Made me realise how little of the dales we have explored
Watched from start to finish, enjoyed it all. Brings back great memories of the best part of England. Thanks Glenn, keep it up. Road trips in the vaaan also wonderful too.
Sensational content!! Thank you..❤
Yes definitely more of the trails
Thanks for the great entertainment! Its getting me through a knockout covid cold!
Hi Glenn watched it all, and brilliant as always. Love the multi day hikes ( got the Cumbria Way on my to do list) looking forward to watching the van trips, the Scotland one last year was epic 👍
Great series of videos, thoroughly enjoyed your camera work and commentary. You are a very genial guide. Watching from Canada.
