After the review, the Arsenal point guard did not have possession of the puck before either the curling stone or the goalie crossed the finish line. 10 points to Gryffindor, 12 yard penalty, repeat 5th down.
During a Ravens- Eagles game they gave one of the teams an offensive pass interference penalty but they placed the ball 15 yards back (in college it's 15, not 10) and NFL had these guys in black shirts on the sidelines trying to provide some kind of quality control that shoved one of the refs onto the field to stop play and place the ball 10 yards back.
The replacement refs COULDN'T do a good job, if they did then the "labor negotiations" wouldn't have worked out for the refs side.... it's a good reason to make some screwed calls.....
As a Seahawks fan that fail mary vs the Packers I was happy we won but watching the replay multiple times at different angles it was clearly the Packers won. The offensive pass interference wasn't called and the Packers got the ball first before Tate got it for a touchdown. Straight up the Packers should've won
lol i was watching it with my newly wedded wife and she never watched football before so after she saw that her exact words to me were "i s this the stupid game you like so much" lmao
You're the first Seahawks fan I've ever seen admit this. I'm a packers fan myself and after the hawks beat us there was nothing but shit talking. I like how you admitted it and my faith in your fan base is restored. A bit.
Brandon Trudel Other Seahawks fans including the bandwagon ones, they don't really understand on how to admit or be classy in general whether win or loss. But yes I agree on your end.
Lemuel Falcon I get so tired of that. You can't get much classer than a Seahawks fan!! you could say what goes around comes around, Packers should have had that game. But guaranteed we will be on the "wrong end" of a call again, only this time it will be the refs as opposed to "others".
They should have all the replacement refs at preseason 1.No one gives a shit about preseason 2.So they can get some NFL experience 3.So they can make more good calls than bad calls I also think that one replacement ref should work a game with 3 NFL refs with at least more than 5 years of experience as a ref so that the replacement refs can learn that's what I think should happen. It's my opinion you might not like it so what
I remember this fondly, unfortunately. The Cardinals won their first 4 games with the replacement refs and then as soon as the real ones came back they lost 11 of their last 12.
I don't care untill 7:36. An NFL referee (replacement or not) should NOT decide the outcome of a game. Especially between 2 teams that really had a Super Bowl shot that year. The Green Bay Packers won this game. Seahawks fans will always say, "Forget it, it was a long time ago." But I know just as well as the next true NFL fan, that call will always be in the back of our heads. It was just outright dumb. Packers win. I can't change the outcome, the scores and headlines say "Seahawks win on final play of regulation!" The real fans see, "Seahawks win because of some of the worst officiating ever...."
Each game of the replacement refs just came down too who had the most botched calls in their favor. Yes Seattle should have lost, but in the end I think we should remember it and remind ourselves how grateful we should be that we have the refs we do have, even when they make a botched call.
But yet I see the current Ref's blowing calls just as badly as these guys did. People are just willing to give them some slack compared to the replacement ref's. They have also cost teams wins on blown calls, some that were even more obviously blown than the Seahawk/Packers touchdown call.
The last one was actually the worst call in NFL history. There is absolutely nothing in that pile of bodies that says touchdown. Clearly M.D. Jennings had the ball.
BAM_Deadstroke no the worst call was the raiders and patriots in playoffs Brady clearly fumbled it but they said it wasn't a fumble patriots then won the game with a field. Goal because of the shitty call
The Nobody nah, the worst was the browns redskins fumble. Duke Johnson fumbled, browns clearly recovered, and a lady ref gave the ball to the redskins th-cam.com/video/FCkI_KSoM0c/w-d-xo.html 0:13
I understand refereeing at the NFL level must be hard cause it's so fast but these guys hardly knew the rules of the game. A high school ref could have got the packers/seahawks call right.
Windows8253 Well the NCAA doesn't have any refs to give to begin with. Officials are hired by conference, not the league. Why would, say, the SEC give up their refs to the NFL? It benefits them in no way and hinders their games.
9er fan here. I had no idea that it was this bad throughout the league. Of course, I knew about the Fail Mary. But the rest of this was...just...dude. Wow.
These calls could not only change a game, but the course of an entire season. The NFL needs to create a rule that has box officials that overview the regular officials. Officials should also be able to be challenged on penalties in my opinion.
ThaFuzzyMan It would definitely make sense but come on, these are the same people who put those idiotic zebras on the field in the first place. I don't think they care to spend more money just to improve the game at the end of the day they're still getting paid.
The Seattle Green Bay call did have an outcome on the seeding for NFC. Had the call been correct, GB finished the season 12-4, as the number 2 seed, meaning they don't play in San Francisco in the divisional round in San Fran., and the Seahawks don't even make the playoffs due to tie breakers with other teams. Green Bay's entire playoff situation was altered due to that call in the 3rd week
My ideal situation would be if the officials themselves could ask for a review, similar to the process in rugby, where if the officials are not unanimous, he can request that another official sitting in the box reviews the play for him.
Upon further review, Roger Federer did have posession of the puck, however the player interfered in the scrum, therefore it will be home-run Celtics. Please set the score 1-0.
I thought this was no good as well until I looked up the actual game highlights. That's the right goalpost so the ball being to the left means it's good. Even the real refs might get that wrong since it's so close but I think they got it right.
Yeah, you can't really tell where the ball crosses the posts, so you have to trust the refs on that one. However, that game was horridly officiated all-round and especially in favour of Baltimore, there was even an article on Bleacher Report about all the horrible calls in that game and what effect they had. Pats were also robbed of a win against the Seahawks with two horrible calls at the end of the game to extend drives. Didn't affect anything since the Pats had HFA in the playoffs and lost to the Ravens fair and square, but still, frustrating season for a lot of teams. With that win and the one against the Packers taken away for Seattle, the Bears would've made the playoffs over the Seahawks. Actually one of those decisions might have prevented them from going to the playoffs, and who knows if they would've won the Super Bowl the next year in that scenario?
And you know what's fucked up? The ref that signaled TD in the Packers/Seahawks game has done an interview, I think with ESPN, since this incident and he still maintains it was a TD, not an interception. Come on guy.
its sad cause seattle got a W they didn't actually win.....tate never had the ball anyway....you can watch the replay if you're a seattle fan and clearly see tate never had control...so the whole " he had control " is a joke
Everyone forgets the phantom interference on Green Bay's scoring drive. In the end, the calls all even out, because they would have had to punt otherwise.
Well, they wouldn't have punted in the 4th quarter anyways. Also, what about the two calls that extended the Seahawks drive to end the game? What about the fact that the final call WAS REVIEWED and they still got it wrong? It's simple, the NFL magically resumed and sped up talks with the original refs less than 24 hrs after that mnf disaster that changed the whole season. How did it change the WHOLE SEASON you may ask? Well, had that win been given to the Packers (rightfully), their end of year record would have been a 1/2 game better than the 49ers. So the Packers would have had home-field that playoff season.
Oh Buddy There were over 9 minutes left! And against that Seattle defense? A for sure punt. Because of that, the rest of your argument is invalid. None of that stuff matters in the context of the game. The calls evened out and that's it.
Ben Dherover I can't see any indication in Oh Buddy's comment of him blaming the Seahawks for that game. I'm a Packers fan, and while I don't like some of the Seahawks players and staff, I have absolutely no grudges whatsoever against the team in regards to this game. Let's just all agree that the officiating was less than ideal for that year. Nobody, not even the replacement referees, were expecting it, but it's all worked out now.
IronKurtain1992 I agree what's done is done. What I don't like is when Seattle fans sit here and act like that most of those calls during that game went to their favor. Either way it doesn't matter, as our boys will now have a chance to settle the score with them this year. I can't wait.
I feel bad for the replacement refs. They fucked up constantly and big, but they also came in at the last minute with very little training or experience. Still, pretty hilarious.
I never blamed the replacement referees, they were doing the best they could after going from college to the much faster paced NFL. Everyone kept complaining about the replacement refs though, I can understand since a lot of mistakes were made, but you've got to realize they did the best they could. What really pisses me off now is that everyone bitches about the refs now saying the replacement refs were better. Grass is always greener.
Ernesto Pulido Oh, sorry, were you out there on the field? Would you have done any better at refereeing? I'm going to go out on a limb and say "fuck no, you wouldn't have."
Thank god for that last play. Really, THE play to show just how much the replacement refs were screwing everything up. A hail mary, game ender, with both teams smothering the ball. The only thing those refs didn't do was call heads when the coin said tails.
Oooh yes I remember the Patriots@Ravens game. Me and my dad's team vs my mom's team. Bad call, Ravens: 31 Patriots:30 That was a good game tbh my mom liked it even if her team lost. It was a hardcore game and it was full of heart-breaking injuries. Even if you don't like Ravens or Pats, it was most definitely a game to remember.
Thoughts on the Fail Mary- 1. It was an interception, Jennings clearly had possession of the ball and having one hand on it(Tate) does not mean equal possession. 2. Obvious offensive pass interference but I guess understandable for them to not call it. 3. The most not talked about part of this play is when Ryan Pickett clearly gets blocked in the back while trying to rush the qb. 3 stars had to align for such a play to be called a touchdown.
Lmao. This was a dark time for the NFL. I remember that Patriots-Ravens game and how pissed I was when the ball clearly was good, but they waved it off.
the replacement refs did suck. I wish NFL would change Defensive pass interference to a 15 yard penalty or spot of foul if pass was shorter than 15 yds. I hate seeing a 50 yard penalty and ball be placed at 1 yd line. I have always hated that
I remember the first MNF of the replacement refs season between Atlanta & Denver. It seemed to never end due to the replacements not having a clue and taking an eternity on every decision. Thank f*** they were eventually ditched.
For me, the problem with the replacement refs wasn't the calls. They made a few more mistakes than regular refs, but regular refs make some pretty boneheaded calls as well. What was missing with replacements in there was just the control of the game. Players developed relationships with the officials and have respect for them. The players know the laundry is coming out if they don't keep themselves under control, and the refs know how to keep that respect. With the replacements, every damn play was a scrum, even with teams that didn't really have beef with one another. The replacements didn't dig in there and rip people off of a pile or have any authoritative presence. There was simply no control of the game.
i know replacement refs sucked but its not there fault they are trying and lets see you go out there and make the correct calls. NFL was clearly at fault for what happen that season
these arent just random people they put in the game they are supposed to be college refs. Yet they act like they've never watched a game of football in their lives.
***** you do realize that those 2 fan bases together are probably not much bigger than the steelers who didn't even make the playoffs. if the nfl was rigged for money it would be Chicago, the NYC teams, Dallas and Pittsburgh winning every year and teams like Arizona, Green Bay and New Orleans wouldn't see the playoffs at all..literally none of the giant market teams made the playoffs, the jets, giants, steelers, bears and cowboys all missed the playoffs, think about how much potential money they lost. if it was really fixed for money don't you think the jets and giants would be playing the the New York Super Bowl? no instead you have 2 teams from past the Rockies playing..think logically
As hilarious as this is... the only ones that should really be blamed for anything are the NFL for refusing to cooperate with the NFL Referees Association, subsequently hiring the scabs, then shoving the product down the consumers throat anyway thinking no one would notice the difference. A strike shortened season with the game called right might have been better but not as fucking funny.
I thought the Seahawks Green Bay touchdown / interception was the worst ever. Then the non call pass interference Saints Rams playoff game last year topped it.
I also really loved how Jim Harbaugh took his 3rd Timeout of the half in the game against Minnesota (while trailing) and then proceeded tricking the poor replacement Ref into allowing him to do a challenge on the previous play. After the call was overturned in his favor he even got the Timeout back. IIRC he even challenged another play on the same Drive, so he got 2 Challenges on a TO he didn't have anymore. didn't help him though, 49ers still lost.
After the review, the Arsenal point guard did not have possession of the puck before either the curling stone or the goalie crossed the finish line. 10 points to Gryffindor, 12 yard penalty, repeat 5th down.

"Yes."
I wonder how do they know? 🤣
Worst birthday gifts ever
I loved the announcers ribbing the referees on mistaking Atlanta for Arizona. XD
I remember when the Redskins got a 10 yard penalty on a false start. Couldn't make that shit up.
Oh shit I remember that lol
I remember one of the players on the other team was like, "Wait, what?"
🤣
To this day I think the replacement refs were purposely terrible. There’s no way grown men can be that retarded and be placed in that position.
This couldn't have gone better for the real referees. Just proves that this sport NEEDS good officials and they probably made some good $$$
almost $200,000 a year

Patriots:30
That was a good game tbh my mom liked it even if her team lost. It was a hardcore game and it was full of heart-breaking injuries. Even if you don't like Ravens or Pats, it was most definitely a game to remember.
It's like having that really chill substitute teacher who you can fool around a little bit with, but writes you up for nothing😂
Brady was laughing 😂😂😂💀
Cool fucking observation bro!
Probably cuz he got 1 ring in 17years
I also loved this at the time because on afternoons the games would still be in the third quarter at 12 am lol
Naturally closed with the capper. Touchception! Celtics get a home run and win the two points in the standings!
rgderen88
Tune in next week when they take on Texas Bible College in the Daytona 500
Watching this is 2023 thinking that the replacement refs weren't that bad overall. You could have a montage even worse than this from this season
How does a personal foul for 15 yards get turned into a 5 yard penalty re-kick?
5:47 Even Belichick Was Confused About The Call.
These refs was just stupid 💀💀
Your grammar is just awful
ItsBlitzz Gaming how ? Because we don't talk the same ?
Thot Quin "You said thees refs was just stupid" it should be Theses refs were just stupid
ItsBlitzz Gaming I know but i like saying was
Thot Quin Ok
LOL I like how at 0:58 he jumps over his opponent, to land on his teammate's neck
the replacement refs did suck. I wish NFL would change Defensive pass interference to a 15 yard penalty or spot of foul if pass was shorter than 15 yds. I hate seeing a 50 yard penalty and ball be placed at 1 yd line. I have always hated that
"Arizona will not be charged a timeout!"
*sighs of relief from Arizona*
😅
That last one is the worst call ever
or the best because it got the real refs back?
It's the worst and best call.
Don't worry Karma got Seahawks back and they didn't run the ball for Super Bowl TD
Blackchev Admine
That call at the end hurts me, a 7 year old could have seen it was intercepted... im hope we never go back to replacement refs
Not a fan of most NFL refs, but credit where it’s due, this was the greatest troll ever.
The real replacement referee were in Superbowl 40 and the horrible calls by Bill Leavy
Agreed...
Sad thing is, the regular officials aren't that much better.
i know replacement refs sucked but its not there fault they are trying and lets see you go out there and make the correct calls. NFL was clearly at fault for what happen that season
Arz2003 it is their fault. They suck ass.
these arent just random people they put in the game they are supposed to be college refs. Yet they act like they've never watched a game of football in their lives.
Glockmog2007 those were not college refs
its roger godells fault
Arz2003 I could probably get the calls right more often they did.
The replacement refs might be bad... but so is the editing of this video. Holy moly!
The beginning of last season was mayhem.
My uncle was a white hat replacement ref. Literally watched this to see if he was in this. Thank God he wasn’t.
Ryan Berube what’s his name?
posthauski David White
I was at the Seahawks and packer fail Mary game fuck that was gay
Fatboy Jr
The regular refs must have loved this. It's one of the rare times when their ability is appreciated.
The 88 dislikers are the replacment Ref's and their fans lol.
I feel like you could make a pretty legit rival video with clips of this year's non-replacement refs
The regular refs are making these same calls lol I guess you have to be a veteran at bad calls...
***** why would the nfl want one of its biggest and most profitable teams to not make the playoffs?
MrMojoRisin53 Its rigged. Super bowl XLVII was rigged.
Oakland Raider mhmm and we didn't land on the moon either
MrMojoRisin53 Nope
As hilarious as this is... the only ones that should really be blamed for anything are the NFL for refusing to cooperate with the NFL Referees Association, subsequently hiring the scabs, then shoving the product down the consumers throat anyway thinking no one would notice the difference. A strike shortened season with the game called right might have been better but not as fucking funny.
I think they came back for the Falcons game week 6.
Lem 2798 No doubt. Then again, I think they were just bought and paid for by Vegas.
Congrats bro for uploading this!!!
Now in 2019, seems like these refs have returned after all those years. It’s a shame how one terrible call can screw a team from winning
I thought the Seahawks Green Bay touchdown / interception was the worst ever.
Then the non call pass interference Saints Rams playoff game last year topped it.
I loved the replacement Refs! You never knew what way the play, penalties, or comments were going.
The sad truth is that the normal refs are not much better.
Yes they are
+Pandas Eat Rice you must not have watched the regular season.
+Brian C (Teddy) watch this video again, more obvious missed calls, and blanket errors
+Pandas Eat Rice Blatant*
+Brian C (Teddy) nigga stfu quit being salty cause your team didn't make the playoffs
It was crazy to think they could just come in and be experts. Now I hope everyone sees how hard it is to officiate!
They made the game funny
I also really loved how Jim Harbaugh took his 3rd Timeout of the half in the game against Minnesota (while trailing) and then proceeded tricking the poor replacement Ref into allowing him to do a challenge on the previous play. After the call was overturned in his favor he even got the Timeout back. IIRC he even challenged another play on the same Drive, so he got 2 Challenges on a TO he didn't have anymore.
didn't help him though, 49ers still lost.
Oh yeah lololololol
the ravens missed field goal was appalling but the seahawks and packers "touchdown" was probably the worst call in nfl history.
Jesus Christ Sorry, it wasn't missed and it was a touchdown.
***** you're stupid and you're VERY stupid. Good job.
Jesus Christ OK, well, it wasn't a touchdown, but the field goal was not missed.
***** if the posts were a foot taller the ball wouldve bounced off. Thats a miss.
Jesus Christ the uprights extend indefinitely upward
Bill Belicheck and Tom Coughlin must be a terrifying game to have to referee as a replacement ref to be fair lol
Holding on the offense... 17 yard penalty... repeat 6th down
2 timeouts removed from the local high school soccer team.
and it is a touchdown
I would never forget, I think the week 3, Redskin vs Bengals where it was like 3rd and 55 I believe, lol.
Personal Foul!
Uneven video volume!
#69 of the uploading team!
5 yard penalty! 1st down!
I will never get over that bad call with the Packers and the Seahawks
Don't fuck with unions NFL.
Fuck Unions and you
NFL refs will forever have the upper hand when it come to contract negotiations due to the disaster of the replacement refs.
those replacement refs hate the packers
the ravens patriots field goal was made, it was just so high and so strong that it went wide after it passed the uprights
2:39 replacement refs not the only ones messing up. 4th and 0? replacement graphics crew?
The machines usually do that stuff automatically, especially when its live, so I'm guessing the machine did something weird.
i can laugh at all of this now but when it was happening i could've spit fire
these guys had no time to prepare it's not their fault
I never thought I'd say this but thank goodness for the regular referees
I do kinda miss the replacement refs. Don't get me wrong, they were really bad, but they are a lot better than the current officials.
howard baxter yea right no one is this bad but he'll I feel for them
Ref1: What do we call that?
Ref2: Uhhhhhh...... Fuck it, its a fieldgoal
