Questions ⁉️ Just drop'em in the comments! 👊🏻💥
Just do, this, this, this and this, and that's it. And then do this, this and this, and that's it. You need to know this, this and this and That's it.😳🤯
Your positive energy and pragmatic way of explaining things make your videos a lot of fun to watch!! Thankyou Joris!! ^_^
Been watching couple of your videos and the points that you say are so different from the big creators out there and all that you say are so legit🔥
Good walkthrough and on point, quality video as always :)
EXCELLENT video. Tons of great, specific, relevant information, and yes, entertaining as well! :-) Thank you for creating and sharing!
Supercoole video! Ik ben zo'n persoon met alle gear, cursussen, etc., maar toch blijft het ergens haperen. Inspirerende video! Thanks.
doooooood, i love this. I need out of my sales job asap. I will be signing up to become a member soon!
Great video with useful infos! Thanks Joris :)
Love your work bro thanks for this video
Just the video I wanted to watch! Thanks!
Great and funny videos :) I will definitely follow you. Keep up the good work!
This was pretty valuable for me as someone who is moving into videography! Thank you Joris.
Glad it helps 🤝🏻🔥
Joris thankfully for your help with this space. This help me to practice English too. Thanks 🙏
Great one Joris! 💪
Good video, this has opened up my eyes . Let me master the basics ✍️
Hey Joris! Love your content. Can you recommend videos for the basics of lighting and editing ?
Your presentation Chief, is excellent.
Joris, thanks so much for putting this out. As a newbie myself I have started creating content on the side because I really enjoy creating something. This video not only helped but inspired me to keep going.
"Keep going" That's in my opinion where most people fail. Patience is key. 💥
Thank you.
Great video Joris
So helpful man thank you for your transparency! Subscribed!
Awesome, thank you!
Really great and motivational video! Like it!!!
Man, thanks for this decent content, I am a learner beginner myself 😅 it helps a lot
Great video... Thank you!!
Very great idea on doing on hand products video for practicing.
Nice video man! Btw Can you make a tutorial on Davinci resolve colour grading for talking head videos like you?
It would be great 😊
what a great video Joris. Learned a lot from this. I'm not a videographer but maybe i will also try to make some gear vids just for fun, to practice.
Practice, practice, practice! 😎
This was very insightful
Great Job, Joris ! Keep the basics ;-) Greetings to Belgium.
🇧🇪🍻😎
Thank you so much for this video. This is just what I wanted as a beginner. I know now where to start with, and this will make me more confident
Just keep going. Everyone has a different path and it can take a while to find the right one. It took me almost 10 years so no worries! 👊🏻💥
Hmmm! Then I have more journey to go!!!
Very cool video, thanks for your Informations :)
Nice thanks for making this. I find the best way to really learn for me is to get out there and film things. You'll see what works and what doesn't and how the triangle works in practice.
💯🔥
Thank you
I love it!!!
Tagging in social media totally works. A razor company sent me their new products for review because I tagged them in a review video
Good reminder that I just have to put in the work and practice as much as I can. Thanks 🙏🏻 Do you have any advice on where to buy some titles and graphics?
I love MotionVFX but it's quite expensive. I've also found some nice titles on Envato Market where you can buy individual items. (Not Envato Elements which is subscription based).
Thank you Joris! Great video! Let's see if I make some money! ;-)
Thanks for the great vid. Ive been filming realestate for a year and had a client approach me about a music video. I shoot mainly and can do a basic real estate edit but haven't done anything like this. She wants something pretty basic. Just if you have any tips for me?
Thank you
Hell yeah!!
Solid video ! That's it
Solid comment! That's it.
This is a really helpful video. Got answers to many of my questions. I am trying to make videos in Travel industry. Filming myself, people and places. Do you have any suggestions for outdoor filming ?
Film, film, film! Make a ton of videos, don't give up and you'll get there. I know it's a cliche but it's true. Most people just give up too soon.
Where did you purchased your table?
Tank you so much papa yoris lol 😂 another good video bud 👍
😅👊🏻💥
✅Eternal Thanks, my brother, Joris!! You're a Blessing to this community.
🙏🏻🔥
I'm a newbie...could you do a video about the "Exposure Triangle"? I'm completely lost 🥺🙏
Despite saying that's it 50x, it's very simple and good advice
I noticed for equipment, you're not discussing the space. Such as the tablet or the room, background, etc. As important what you are filming includes the back drop / back ground of the subject is going to be filmed in. Not everyone has a dedicated studio space for these things
I just use the wall 🤔 either white or gray...
kindly talk about cameras and their paformance , I'd like to make short films
Funny stuff 😂
Not a camerabit a smartphone for now, but at least a video each week coming out... We'll see^^
master the basics ;)
I thought that more/higher ISO means better performance in low light, less noise?
No, higher ISO means your camera will be able to "see better" in low light. The sensor beacons more sensitive but the downside is always that it causes more noise. On some cameras it's worse than others of course...
At the beginning of the video you claimed to be making good enough money by making simple videos for clients. What I would like to ask is do you receive those small job offers consistently? In other words, is there always work to do throughthout a year or do you experience dry months also?
Well, first of all, I said it's a "large part" of what I make. So, I do a lot of other things but yeah, there's always work to do and right now, I'm not even actively looking like I was in the beginning. It's just a matter of getting the ball rolling and that's the hard part.
Nice one Joris - How about selling your B-roll on a stock site? Has that rendered you any results? (so far for me, nothing, but I heard others with varying levels of success).
I've never tried that but I've also heard mixed things from other videographers and creators who have tried it. Some see no results, some great results. 🤔 If only I had more time to give it a try... 😭😅
@@JorisHermans I'm having a fruitless result personally. I was employed over the past 5 months to film footage around Portugal for a client's YT channel, I used the same footage to sell on stock sites, got zero returns on that, and it's a time consuming exercise. 😞 Thankfully I'm not working for that client any more, it was underpaid.
Could it be maybe that the market for stock footage is just oversaturated?
@@JorisHermans for sure, I often find myself filming things or recording audio myself before buying... shoe-string budget and all!
We need a computer also to edit.
Thank you dear for make us think again about the BASICS
“CapCut” is also a FREE video editing app that you can learn to do the basic editing with. For both Android and Apple devices.
Is it possible and wise to shoot a short film using a single camera.
Of course. Most scenes in Hollywood movies are also shot with one camera because the adjust the lighting for every angle. So, they do the scene several times and shoot it from a different angle every time with perfect lighting for that angle. Makes sense?
@@JorisHermans It does, I will like to make a short film but I have one camera. What you said motivates me to go and shoot with zero stress. Thanks
Please how can me in village, how do I get the jobs as beginner?
11:37 you were tempted to say another double meaning joke? 😂
I'm always tempted to say a lot of things... you should see all the parts I cut out 😬😅
WHY AM I GROUNDED? IT WASN'T ME!! 😤🤣🤣
Wow...the amount of helpful information in this video is insane 🤯
Thank you so much, Joris - personally, this video has come at exactly the right time for me.
Super-grateful man 🤜💥🤛
Great video 🤟
learn from those who use the same editors, Eastwood (ferris Webster / Joel cox) Hitchcock, and many others.
The sony A7siii is very expensive though...
11:40 I think you might be going somewhere a little off topic with that one 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Such a long video... 🙄😅
Ya but how do ypu get these clients
First of all, build a top notch portfolio and make sure people actually see it. E-mail, social media, LinkedIn... Use everything at your disposal...
Does that mean he see's us as his kid's 🥺

VIVA LA FORTUNITAAAA
Why opt for a 35mm lens over 50mm or 80mm for product videography? My perspective is, if a 35mm lens tends to distort details in headshots, wouldn't an 80mm lens be more appropriate for capturing finer product details on video? Just curious, and thanks for any insights!
I have been looking at the Sony A74
I was offered 650$ for 3 min and 850 for a 5 min vid for weddings. Idk if I’m being under paid or not. It’s a start I guess, buttt idk.
lol
For a beginner? I think that’s a good start
First 😂
🤣🤣🤣
😅
👊🏻💥
AI won't film the thing. 😄
You're in for a surprise in 5 - 10 years... 😉
Great in depth vid. Straight up facts. 🦾
