I'm trying to find one of these that can fit on the Ally X without blocking the other usb port. This is too wide, so if you plug it in, then you can't use the other port

I've been sitting here trying to figure out why the mods won't show up in my game :( i tried with one hair mod and it doesn't show up after i put the pak files in there. Am i only putting the pak file or am i putting the other files in there as well? I dont know what I'm doing wrong

Agree with you on Vr-Rock. They work very well for me and the magnetic lens are super easy to attach and detach, which helps me so much when my little brother is over and we share the headset.

Youre right. I'm budget/value conscious and that's why I went with this device. My only conplaints are the sticks and the absence of official software updates (albeit there's a community (Gamma) built software fix exists for the sticks, done at your own risk). That's been a disappointment. I also wanted to play cricket games primarily, and rhis has underperformed greatly in thay respect. Fortunately for me though, my gaming backlog is significant so I've continued to enjoy the device nonetheless, knowing that once that clears I'll skip along. So I'd encourage any budget conscious gamer to think deeply about what you want to play, and if your budget can't take you there immediately, wait a little longer. But for a very many, this will be a sufficient and pleasing device.

Listen. Superior image quality, just not for IPD over 68 or more. Still, the app is trash. Can't use 2fa to login to TH-cam. Xreal One is lower image quality using stabilization but well worth the $$$

See I’m older it took a while for me to get into handheld (pc) gaming, wife plays the consoles, I built myself I rig. Almost bought the lcd deck multiple times 😂 never did but bought a oled. I live in the USA where RMA kinda matters since it’s not as strict as the EU for example. Gamers Nexus ripped ASUS RMA to shreds and when I saw the deck I saw it was built to mod. And if something went, it could be replaced or valve would actually help. I’ve been LOVING my deck. I home brewed mine so I don’t miss out on not having windows personally I got cod like an ally and I even got my whole game pass from Xbox. Not to mention just the plugins alone. Another thing that I think the deck has over all the competition is hardware mods. I haven’t dug into a lot of them but I do have a 2Tb m.2 and Gulikit hall affect joysticks which I can say is a game changer on the deck. Can say that the deck has been hands down the best and really only big purchase I’ve made this year to go along side my pc. If you plan on tinkering with your deck, Get the 512 gig oled, then do the mods you will have a better deck for cheaper than the top tier one! 20 bucks for Hall effect sticks, 10 bucks for a matte protector and a 2TB ssd your gonna have yourself a better deck for around the same price as the 1Tb oled.

If Valve is supposedly working on getting Steam OS to work on arm, via x86 translation layers, etc, we may one day see these arm based handhelds actually ship with a good OS for AAA gaming, instead of Android.

Imma choose this over the rog ally z1 extreme. Because of 50% larger battery, and twice the storage capacity. As long as I avoid intensive AAA titles , I think I'm good. 👍 They both cost 550$ in my country.

I play multiplayer PC games with friends. How would I be able to verbally communicate with them using the Viture glasses? I plan on purchasing the Mobile Dock so I can also connect my PS5 to it to play through the glasses, and I can connect a headset to my PS5 controller to be able to communicate with my friends. But how would I do it through my Steam deck? I barely use my Steam Deck, so I don’t even know how to communicate with my friends through the deck.

The gpd win mini is too thick to be comfortable.The steam deck is very comfortable due to it being thin

Crossmix and a high speed sd card makes it alot easier to set up those larger games. And replacing the rest of the roms and bios helps too.
