Crawdaunt just got more and more buffs over the gens. Gen 4: Physical/special split and access to Superpower and Dragon Dance. Crawdaunt has become one of my favorite pokemon because of competitive gen 8 currently. Choice band Crawdaunt became a OU pokemon before isle of armor and crown tundra because of its ability to force switches easily, while also being great against all of the popular ghost at the time. Its currently in UU now after all the power creep, but life orb Crawdaunt (life orb recoil did annoy it, but not being locked into a move was better for it) works very well in OU. Crawdaunt only really needed its stabs because if its sheer power, but it can be better to run swords dance over crunch in order to sweep crippled teams late game. Spikes support + volt-turn is great for Crawdaunt, and its strong attacks makes it a great wallbreaker. Common u-turn and volt switch pokemon like Dragapult and Zeraora often invite many defensive pokemon that Crawdaunt can crack open, making it hard to play around it once it gets on the field. Overall Crawdaunt is still a great pokemon in gen 8, and I thought it would be nice to talk about its current OU success it recently had because it wasn't talked about in this video. Don't know how its fairing in UU at the moment, but I wouldn't be surprised if it plays identical to OU. Thank you for reading this overly long TH-cam comment, and have a nice day.
As someone who plays UU currently (right before SwSh locks) Crawdaunt is still a terrifying wall breaker that isn’t too common in mid ladder but you ABSOLUTELY have to plan a team for in case you run into the AdaptaBand
Unfortunately it was quite bad next to the regular version, which is already completely outclassed by Pepsi, and next to other much better diet version sodas.
Unfortunately, at the start of the generation, because of a programming glitch, Diet Coke did the exact opposite of what it suppose to do. As such, many people that consumed it where quickly statused by diabetes. Because of that Diet Coke was outclassed by it's regular counterpart which did the exact same thing, but had more brand recognission despite both having the same brand (did I really say that). But in Generation 2, things changed quickly with the sugar content nerf to Diet Coke. But people still chose to drink twice the normal bottle which caused them to negate the effects of Diet Coke. Also it got competition from other brands that did the same thing, but tasted sweeter despite the lack of sugar. Generation 3 was much kinder to Diet Coke. It copied the effects of the other brands in tasting sweet with barely any sugar. But there was a reason people couldn't stop consuming coke. Dataminers found out the couse of it is coffein which boosts the addiction value of consumers. As such, there was a 0.1% chance to get fat from drinking Diet Coke. Generation 4 was amazing for Diet Coke. It was the soft drink to go completely outclassing regular Coke. Both tasted very similar and Diet Coke didn't cause much negative effects on the consumer, even with the potential addiction ratio of the coffein. Generation 5 was the end of the line for Diet Coke because a new challenger came to town. A regional variation in Coke Zero. It had no sugar at all in it, not even natural. It was much healthier and the green coloring caught the eyes of consumers much quicker. It also didn't cause addition after the patch of course. As such, Diet Coke dropped to UC (under consumed), there nostalgia junkies couldn't get enough of it and usually drank an entire six pack.

As of gen 8 I tried to use a set with jolly nature, adaptability, max speed and attack, with choice scarf which can be a nice sweeper but not in ubers as the gen 8 box art legends wall it with either out speeding or taking its hits which makes it unreliable with in Uber but in ou you will have a great time sweeping team with this really strong mon

He defiled a grave for money, that’s pretty hardcore
Too bad he doesn’t know payday...
What a powerful Agency mon. Glad to see my boy go from zero to hero
10:07 - There's also the matter of the fact that while Crabhammer doesn't have 100% accuracy, it has a naturally higher crit-ratio, making it possible to extend the damage even *further.*
In my opinion, Crawdaunt is one of the best looking pokemon
I always think that this blue thing is his mouth and that makes me unconfortable everytime eventho i know that it isnt his mouth

Good, because i recently thought that.
These big blue lips (i thought)
Crawdaunt literally brute forced his way into OU
+10 speed would be nice! Get that dragon dance going for real you know
Probably one of the strangest cases of an old mon getting ~better~ through the generations without a mega.
FSG: uploads video
Me receives notification: I already like the video
I gotta say, if it wasn't for this video, I never would've thought Crawdaunt was worth getting. I didn't realize just how amazing Adaptability made it. And this thing actually destroys in the the Battle Tree too. Thanks dude!
Good video! But, I feel that you didn't mention Crawdaunts OU niche in USUM of being on Trick Room.
Yeah, I was expecting a whole section for USUM OU trick room since it's just so devastatingly powerful. Kind of sad that there was no mention of trick room in the whole video :(
Considering that this beast can kill ferrothorn after a dragon dance with knock off is something.
Crawdaunt in Gen 6: *crab rave intensifies*
One of my favorite Pokemon on my birthday. Nice. Thanks Kellen!
