Great video and review of your American 991.1C4S. After having several new shape Boxsters over the years, I have taken the plunge and purchased a 991.1 C4S convertible and pick up this beauty this weekend (end of January 2022). Looking forward to lots of driving in this dream car which is now finally a reality. 😁 Once again thanks for the “10 reasons why” review.
For me? This was THE perfect video for this gem model 911. A real guy who isn't a tuner giving us the real deal! Can't wait to join the family with this EXACTLY this model just gotta wait for the market to get a tad bit less rapacious !
I really appreciate your comment. That’s exact reason I created these videos. Owners know best, and it helps the community. My selection consists of cars I would own and knowledgeable owners whose perspective is interesting.
All great points. I think it’s the best looking modern 911 . The portions is perfect . The new 911s are just to big. I do want to ask you how you liked the 3.4 motor in your first 991? It doesn’t get a lot of attention? Did you feel it was under powered? I one a 2005 gt silver Carrera and absolutely love the 3.6. To me it’s plenty fast enough for me. Thx
Nice review! I love the look of the 991.1 4S and it has the most beautiful night light design. 991 and the 964 are my favourite 911s.the newer ones are too digital and I love the naturally aspirated sound - especially on the german Autobahn
Excellent evaluation - would agree to almost all of these plus points. I have a '14 C4S - only real difference is the PDK in mine which I must say is a dream. Sport steering wheel is better than standard as well I would say. One heck of a great car.
Why did you change from basic carrera to c4s? Only power? I am also interested to buy one of these two models but not sure which one i should buy. And the fact that the s model is about 10k expensive 😢
Real simple. I didn't want a turbo in a regular 911, so the 991.2 was out. So I bought a new 991.1 Carrera 4 GTS with a 7-speed manual in 2018 with $45,620 in factory options. With 98 miles, it was not cheap, but exactly what I wanted. The video presenter looks like the actor in Christine from the older version.
@@giuistefanjr72 Don't know what you mean by "connected". It is a manual just like my 993. And in both cases better than a PDK having driven them as well.
I just picked up a 2013 Porsche 911 s PDK don’t get me wrong I had a quite a few manual cars Porsche air cooled to be exact they were all manual and I love them so for me buying it automatic one was it first but I have to say this transmission is second to none it is awesome don’t get me wrong I would love to have it manual but I settled for APDK and it is great I love your 4S but I just don’t like the long light in the back that connects to the tail lights I hate that option I love that it’s wider it would’ve been nice without the light One thing I love also is that the car is real I’ll drive and not four-wheel-drive the one that I purchased I don’t know if I would like four-wheel-drive I know it’s more security but let’s just say I like to live on the edge a little bit my car sounds awesome and that is the reason they purchase a 2013 911 S either one you pick you can’t go wrong I never seen someone to be unhappy with any 9/11 they are great cars and once you on one you are hooked for life
3:15 - could you make a video on that perhaps? I bought a G29 Z4 earlier this year, and now I have the opportunity to sell for a £6k profit despite running 4k miles on the clock, but I have no idea what's happening in the market as to why this is? I am planning to buy the 991.1 but not sure if I should sell and sit on the money for now? Thanks!

Congratulations! So nice to watch a video without the background music.

Excellent review and best regards from a 981 Cayman S owner from Dublin who still dreams of owning a 991.1 C4S. :-)
Twins. I had a 991.1 C2cab when I was living in NYC. Drove to Maine and everything. Fantastic car… still in the garage here in LA

Love my 2014 S manual.
To have that 3.8l engine 😉😊

Great to hear you got a GTS, can you tell me more about the manual transmission? Does is it feel connected like old Porsches did?

I see you have the rare rear window wiper option.
Mandatory in the UK☺️
I wish these would have followed the normal depreciation curve!
Beautiful car!

You can remove the LED strip and put the black strip that comes on the 2wd GTS
Rennlist is an outstanding forum for 911 owners. A must when you own one for information/thoughts. And a great community.
"I'mnot a dentist...". haha

My next car...? Wish me luck
Tarrytown!
It's a great spot to film.
Which warranty did you go with?
Fidelity Platinum - very mileage sensitive. The rennlist thread is massive on the subject.
