Never imagined you would give brutus up to another operator!!! The very idea of giving my buncher over to someone gives me the piss shivers!!
My back was ruined at 16, and the old crack bones I went to said I had to go 3 years without aggravating it.
I stopped saw work, firewood, working on small engines, everything. Now it has hurt in years. People called me lazy, but they didn't have to live with the searing hot pain.

Wade you most likely have some degree of drawing air on puddin ,the big bore kit wouldn't change the settings all that much.. tip#1 clean the cases in gas, new seals ,new gaskets, and assembly make one good carb from what you have, and put a Chinese 395 muffler on it ,that pipe sucks no end..

i was a fleet technician for Bridgestone commercial for 20 years, and it destroyed my body after working out in the fforestry and farm's, and highway, but Ichanged all the tyre's by hand in the situation of operation, all the foresty tyre's were American firestone tyre's, all loaders Bridgestone tyre's, the 7 forest's that I covered were the biggest in the southern hemisphere, nowadays retired.

Pudden sounds strong. That straight pipe on your other saw is loud enough people shouldn't have any trouble knowing where you are lol. I have fought back problems for 10 years and it sucks. Try and take it easy lol . Have a good one.

On bikes when you big bore a carb bike you have to put smaller jets in because it has so much more vacuum. It’s counter intuitive but many times that’s what we have to do depending on how big of a kit we put in.

Wade check your carb boot, and the nipple the pulse line goes to, just press fit to cylinder jug , I know your saw has been “hit” a few times, lean condition might be simpler than you think, the carb “should” be able to handle it, remember it’s not fuel injected , the carb just adds fuel to the air that is sucked through it, it sucking a little more air, should just speed it up, your not making that big of a swing with a big bore kit..

Great to see puddin back in action. This new Ethanol fuel is hard on diaphrams and rubber line. I would rebuild a new carb for puddin out of the boneyard and see if it helps. Not the Puddin would be a good frankensaw build and put a longer bar and more power through.

Engine has to have some back pressure on the exhaust. Sure, they sound good but power wise it's not helping your cause none.

If the idle is too rich you will get a slight bog and a huge puff of smoke after letting it idle for a minute or two. It should not load up when you leave it idle. I can let my saws idle for 15 minutes come over and pick them up and get a quick slight puff of smoke and it winds right out to full speed with no bog or hesitation. Adjust your idle screw as low as possible then adjust the low screw first then the high screw then repeat the low and high a second time.
