7:12 This "NO!" is the second most genuine sounding "NO!" I've probably ever heard in a video game. The first is Caleb's "NoooOOOOO!" when he sees the crucified corpse of Ophelia B)
I think one of my favorite touches in the Wii game is during his Contender fight, Super Macho Man has a confident and cocky expression on his face. In his Title Defense fight, he has a very angry expression, communicating that he’s done showing off and is ready to make you hurt. Little stuff like this is what makes me absolutely adore the animation of these games.
Another interesting detail is that in title defense his super spin attack (where he does the poses and says super macho man) also lacks all the camera flashes and him putting on the expensive sunglasses, also communicating that the public isn't into him anymore
He also visibly holds himself back in Contender, presumeably for the sake of putting on a better show. But in Title Defense a mixture of not holding back, anger and training give him the biggest speed increase in the world circuit, turning a relatively easy fight into a surprising challenge that catches players off guard.
