I believe that Mister Rogers was what Christ would have been like had he lived in the modern age. . . he channeled all that was good in the world and touched so many lives in a positive way-mine included.
I'm 27, (25 at the time of your comment) and Mr. Rogers was a large part of my childhood too. He always taught me to be curious, creative, honest, and to be a good neighbor.
That quote at the end finally brought me to tears. You know, once in elementary school, all the classes were gathered in the auditorium to see the annual talent show. A boy was on stage playing this beautiful piece on the piano and I shut my eyes to enjoy it better. When I opened them all the kids sitting in front and around me were turned to look at me with these confused and judging stares. For some reason that really hurt and shook me up so much so that I still recall it with disdain from time to time. I think I finally heard the words that the younger me needed to hear that would have made me feel not so ostracized in that moment.
+StarlitLilies YES, that last quote is what got me too! It is so true! I remember being in Elementary school, I always felt ostracized for my love of music. Little did I know, years later I'd take those moments of deep love for music to become musician.
Yes... You have a great point. I strongly agree with you and I'm so so sorry you had to deal with intellectual inferiors such as your classmates. I too agree we must take a period of silence after we hear beautiful music...
+StarlitLilies Growing up it's very easy to let fear of judgment from our peers alter how genuine we allow ourselves to be. I know that I did. Many people never regain that authenticity, but that won't stop me from trying.
That's why I appreciate people who understand the emotions music can bring. There's so many songs that make me tear up-some from their beauty, some from nostalgia, and some from the stories they tell. Music is a beautiful thing, and without it, we wouldn't be the humans we are.
"After you've heard someone play beautiful music, sometimes you just want to have a quiet time to remember it. Let's just sit and think about what we've heard." *Starts bawling uncontrollably
I don't care what anyone thinks. This was the most influential person in my life, and still is. This remix is amazing. Call me a nerd, I don't care. The truth and beauty in this brought tears to my eyes. :55, 1:17, 1:45... well, it all fits. Whoever did this, did a great job. Please open your mind and your heart, and indulge your child-like, music loving, truth loving self.
Mr. Rogers was actually a Presbyterian minister. He was able to communicate his messages to young people without the pretext of religion or good vs. bad. He spoke to children in a language they understood for the sole purpose of their well-being. I'm not a religious person any more, but I have _always_ been able to appreciate the gift Mr. Rogers gave to all of us. I'm old enough to remember watching his shows when they were new. I remember enjoying them a great deal, but it wasn't until I watched a few of his shows in my 20's that I was able to fully appreciate what he was saying, what I held witness to as a young person, and how valuable his lessons were to me then and now, even as I approach my 60th birthday.
Why am I crying? Oh Mr. Rodgers I miss you so much. Your show was my getaway from the fights between my Mother and my Bipolar father. You calmed me down. You taught me that I'm not alone and that I'm important in this cruel world. I love you. Youre my angel
"When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up." - C. S. Lewis Hits the nail right on the head.
Mister Rogers always believed that, even though we were very young, we were capable of thinking about big ideas and big concepts ... he talked about things like self-discovery and finding our passion, even though he knew his average audience member was probably only 5 or 6 years old. And we DID think about these things, and we didn't think it was odd at all. Thank you, Mister Rogers, for so gently teaching us how to explore and interact with the world, with each other, and with ourselves. We love and miss you.
+Vicki Sands Looking back as an adult, Mr. Rogers is someone that I miss wholeheartedly. My generation (and those after me) hurt for a lack of people they can learn from, people that uphold dignity, decency, and generosity. We have so few people we can trust. We have overindulged on cynicism and sarcasm. We have grown into a world where friends aren't just few and far between - they are decidedly rare. We don't like looking at each other as we walk down the street because we are afraid we will make someone angry. Mr. Rogers had arms wide open to take us in to a place of hope, of peace and quiet (the kind that captivates a child's attention), as if he was paying attention to us through the television set. I'm sad that I took Mr. Rogers for granted growing up as a kid... I wanted to jet off to early morning or after-school cartoons, playing with toys and friends. But there was something unbelievably amazing about Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. It was almost like the door was always open, like Mr. Rogers had come home and was delighted to share so much with us, like he was just waiting for us to use our imaginations and grow into the people we were destined to become. Should God grace me with a son or daughter of my own, I will without hesitation introduce him or her to the neighborhood, to hearts and stories that reach out over decades, to timeless values that were peacefully and gently instilled in our impressionable minds. Mr. Rogers helped sow seeds of learning and growth in so many of us, and as a result, his is a legacy I will both willingly preserve and defend. Thank you for sharing your comment. I am privileged to be in the company of so many people who grew up in the neighborhood. May you find yourself incredibly content to be just the way you are. God bless you. All the best to you this year and all the years to come.
+ryuhaneda And what a blessing your comment was to me!! It is wonderful to meet so many "neighbors" who loved this man as much as I did! I wholeheartedly agree - Mister Rogers' genuine love for me (yes, me, as a member of the global circle of listening children to whom he always spoke personally) did not just shape my childhood; it continues to shape my adulthood and will shape the way I raise my children as well. He may no longer physically be with us, but it is no cheesy cliche to say that his spirit and memory will continue to live and thrive for generations to come - in our children, and hopefully our children's children. Because of Mister Rogers, my future children are going to learn about walking through the backyard and looking for birds and insects; they will learn about factories and farmers as well as scientists and musicians; they will learn that it is okay to feel their emotions, and we will learn together how to control them; and they will learn that every person and every life, no matter how big or small, is a precious gift - and that includes theirs. I know that Mister Rogers lived to hear from many of his grown-up TV children how much he had blessed them in their childhood, and even though you and I can't say the same to him now, we can thank him by carrying his ideas forward into the future. May God bless you, your todays, and your future!!

As an adult, growing bitter and frustrated with the world, coming back to Mr. Roger's neighborhood is so...straightening and strengthening for me. My jaw drops at wisdom that child me saw and took as obvious fact. He reminds me what life is, that it's okay to be, and just...I wish we had him now. We could use him ❤ I...we...to the reminders. We need to remember. So we can be what he showed us ❤
I don't know why, but 'there's so much in this world we can learn, no matter how young or how old we are' caught me right in the feels. Between countless videos, articles and photos of people doing things you never even thought of and mastering them, I am overwhelmed by the things both inside and outside we can do, learn and become. Mr. Rogers was a lovely island in the middle of insanity and becoming an adult has helped me understand why there are so few people like him. A one-of-a-kind, glorious soul.
"It's so important to feel good", I'm glad I got to hear this as a 17 year old, and now rediscovering it as a 22 year old only to wish I understood it as deeply as I do now, and to think pretty soon i'll be 40 and it'll hurt even more. and then...
A lot of people ask why are we crying ? Remember jaw breakers ? you sucked on them to get to the soft candy center. I think we are a lot like them. The center is who we are, pure unconditional beings (love). Then we have experiences that cause layers to build. Mad, sad, angry, hurt, pain etc. Mr. Rogers just opens a hole up, and exposes who we really are. Unconditional people, who at our candy core really only want the best for everyone. To give and receive unconditionally. He turns us inside out. Deep down we are all the same :)
Fred Rogers was such a good and kind man. I liked him as a child growing up and he still is one of a kind. Of all the times he said to us "there's only one person in this whole world like you", I can say the same thing about mr. Rogers: there was only one person in this whole world like him! And I loved him so much. I was so glad to be his neighbor. R.I.P., Fred
"Are you discovering the truth about you? That's what we do as we keep growing in life. I'm still discovering the truth about me." The sentiment blows me away. It seems like everyone I know around me is trying to race to some sort of an end where they think they will finally have everything figured out cleanly and nicely. But that line makes me feel like that ending not only doesn't happen, but that it shouldn't happen anyway. Slow down, keep learning about yourself. Mr. Rogers was incredible.
Gonna just say thanks to Mr Rogers, I learned to not talk down to children. It's amazing how much the develop when people take their thoughts and feelings seriously.
Wow. The end was the kicker. I'm a 40 year old man now, but Mr. Rodgers was one of my best friends when I was a very sick little boy. No matter how bad I felt, he was always the kind voice of encouragement I needed to get through another day stuck in bed, unable to go to school or play outside with the other kids my age. I will carry the gentleness and love he showed me for the rest of my life, & I hope that the values I learned from him will live on in my son, & be passed from generation to generation. These remixes are kinda silly, but sweetly done. A very nice homage to, in my opinion, one of the greatest men of our time. Still a lot we can all learn from him. Thank you Fred Rodgers, & thank you P.B.S. for keeping his spirit alive. -R
The harmony in his voice is what gets me everytime. It's just so beautiful and soothing. I honestly haven't cried this much in ages. Live long and prosper Mister R.
What a kind man. Such a gentle, loving presence to generations of children. He was so steadfast and strong in his truth; he inspired both children and adults, and made us better people. I'm sorry he's gone now. Thanks for creating this - it's lovely.
+Garden Girl From what I understand... he really was. The humble gentleness in that man's soul continues to blow me away. The kind words he uttered continue to impact so many people's lives, mine included. God bless his family. Having quiet time to remember him. Sitting and reflecting on what I've heard. Thank you Jesus for Mister Rogers. #mindblown #nevermind #soulblown
+Garden Girl him and bob ross were both war vets, after war, they changed, they couldnt be what they were, war made them this way, for the better i say
+BigBlack Fred Rogers was never actually in the military, that's just an urban legend. There's way too much to be said about Mister Rogers, so I'd suggest you look up his Wikipedia page.
Saint isn't a word I throw around; Fred Rogers was a saint. The man spent his entire life making people, young and old, feel loved and believe in themselves.
At least once a day, I think of this man and the impact he has had on my life. He was one of the few adults that said it was okay for me to be confused about my emotions, that i'm always still growing as a person, and that i was liked just the way I am. If I ever end up half as wonderful as he is, I would consider my life a success
this man will forever hold a spot in my heart for his TRUE love for child entertainment and learning. it was a perfect mix. he was an amazing man throughout his whole life.
This is so great. Just over a decade after his death, Mr. Rogers continues to inspire and touch our hearts and lives. John Boswell rocks. Thanks for bringing this to life.
Even now as an adult, I still find him fascinating! It’s like the kid in me comes out to discover new things again, or things I’ve forgotten, or need reminding of. He’s the best 🥰
This really brings joyful tears to my eyes. Mr. Rogers, along with other PBS programs have helped positively cultivate my ethos. I'm glad that someone produced this rendition, and that others have been similarly influenced the way I am grateful to be
+PBS Digital Studios There needs to be more of these. The two remixes for Mr Rogers and the one for Bob Ross are some of the most amazingly beautiful pieces of music imaginable. I can't help but get choked up when I hear them.
Love this! Mr. Rogers becomes a present day radio ready hit song. The power of music. Let's just sit and think about what we've heard. A new classic. Great stuff.
Just discovered these mixes today and I'm thankfull. 'There's so much in this world we can learn. No matter how young or how old we are. We can sing together.' Right in the tearbags.
Thank you PBS studios for this wonderful piece. Mr. Rogers was such a good person and such a positive influence to all, including me. I think he would have loved this song.
WOW the lesson at 3:15 - 3:25 made my jaw drop. Lets just have quiet time and reflect on the music for a while. Just your inner thoughts. i know the reason shit is so sideways in the world is bc ppl dont listen to themselvs in silence. they drown it out by alawys having the TV on, smrtphone in hand, on a tablet, checking laptop emails, or listening to muisc on ipod. People today dont even hear their inner voice talking, and if they did they wouldnt know what to do with it. This video has years upon years of widsom and advice that only an older person can truely give. Think about THIS This man was born 1 year before the Great Depression. He lived through the fucking DUST BOWL. he went through WW2, the 50's the whole counter culture 60's. and then disco. No wonder this an and others from this generation were truely some of our greatest men and women. Remarkable.
Tears come to my eyes everytime I watch this, and I've watched it A LOT. Such a great man, I wish he lived longer, and they still played his episodes instead of the stuff they play now.
I think the best way to honour Mister Rogers is to live and love by his example. Not to be blasphemous or anything, but if everyone stopped before they acted and wondered "What Would Mister Rogers Do"? (#WWMRD) I am positive it would be a better place. Even tho he is no longer with us (r.i.p), I don't think anyone would be rude or mean in his presence, so respect his legacy by being the embodiment of everything he believed in and worked so hard for. I for one am certainly try my utmost to live up to the standard that I'm sure Mister Rogers would want me to. He is a saint amongst men
I am saddened by the realization that Mister Rogers left the neighborhood 1 year after I was born. But at any case, I do feel like I am actually with Mister Rogers whenever I watch one of his episodes.
i actually have a big shirt i found (''stupidly'' in the guy's section at Wal-mart along with other shirts that are supposedly for.. ''men!'' *anger mark*, and it cleverly says, "it's all good in the hood." i love it to this day! *sniffle* its really a cute shirt, i just, had to get it, he taught me how crayons where made... the huge chunky ones.. and they weren't crayola tho. XD
+RoseBudpony1 I also have a Mister Rogers shirt that says "It's all good in the hood", it was gray and it had a gold frame with a picture of Mister Rogers putting on his sneakers.
I'm 45 and I get made fun of for still watching him. I'm just like, maybe you want to stop and think? You can grow ideas, in the garden of your mind. PBS is the best!!!
Fred Rodgers should be canonized! He was a saint to countless thousands of youngsters for generations. These remixes help continue his fine work! Thanks for posting this tune!
I'm sitting here sobbing. Watching Mister Rogers was something my dad and I used to do together, so watching these makes me miss both my dad, and Mr Rogers.
The whole song really struck me, but that last line.. Mr. Rogers was right. Everyone that reads this, let's take a moment, together, in silence, to reflect on all of the lessons in life we've learned so far, and what we will learn tomorrow.
No problem, we've got one for you! Check out the link in the description for MP3 downloads of all of melodysheep's PBS Remixed tracks, including this Mister Rogers B-Side.
"...No matter how young or how old...we can sing together...are you discovering the truth about you?" -What talented visionary is putting these wonderfully positive..."a quiet time to remember it."
I think kids today are so rotten and this world so cold because they dont have a man like this anymore. I think this guy had much more of an impact on our culture than we ever realized.
I miss him so much. In the early 80`s I was a very lonely awkward child who felt nobody wanted me. Mr Rogers made me believe in myself and have the courage to be myself.
This makes me cry because I do try to tell everyone I love about the things I'm curious about every single day and they don't care to listen 😔 I'm crying my eyes out actually lol. This dude had a huge impact on me
This one seemed kind of silly compared to the last one, and then he hit us with "Did you talk to the people you love last night?" and it hit like an emotional brick.
My mom told me I liked Mr. Rogers when I was little. I've looked at some stuff with him in it and I like it, I wish I could remember from when I was little. Makes me smile now listening to this
Are you discovering the truth about you ? that's what we do as we keep on growing in life.are you discovering the truth about you ? I'm still discovering the truth about me.

I am a grown man, but I still am comforted by Mr Rogers. Beautiful song. Just what I needed today
Sir, you are so good at what you do. Thank you for capturing the precious moments of my childhood. When Mom was alive.
Mr. Rogers was like a rockstar to me when I was little.
Yup, to me, really good people were the real stars in life.
He was so sweet and gentle. I wonder if he was like that in real life?
Jimmy Davis no thanks I know the truth
+BigBlack That is bullshit, and you know it.
Saint isn't a word I throw around; Fred Rogers was a saint. The man spent his entire life making people, young and old, feel loved and believe in themselves.
mr. rogers was my first addiction
1:09 I love how Mister Rogers can breakdance! He was full of life and joy, and so purely too!
At least once a day, I think of this man and the impact he has had on my life. He was one of the few adults that said it was okay for me to be confused about my emotions, that i'm always still growing as a person, and that i was liked just the way I am. If I ever end up half as wonderful as he is, I would consider my life a success
We grew up on this wonderful program. It's timeless. PBS gives us programs you cannot find anywhere else... for all ages.
this man will forever hold a spot in my heart for his TRUE love for child entertainment and learning. it was a perfect mix.
he was an amazing man throughout his whole life.
I'm glad that someone produced this rendition, and that others have been similarly influenced the way I am grateful to be
Why "like" this #MisterRogers video? That's "B-Sides" the point! #TBT #SingTogether th-cam.com/video/CdAZ79AhcfY/w-d-xo.html
PBS Digital Studios i cried when i listen to both of the remixes of mr rogers rip mister rogers
+PBS Digital Studios There needs to be more of these. The two remixes for Mr Rogers and the one for Bob Ross are some of the most amazingly beautiful pieces of music imaginable. I can't help but get choked up when I hear them.
+PBS Digital Studios Waiting on My DR WHO REMIX JOHN............
um.. they stole this from melodysheep after they realized how many views it was receiving. copyrighting a song from a youtube video... classy.
Not gonna lie, there's something about watching the Mr. Roger's remix videos that hit me right in the feels. Such a wonderful person.
I've watched this 4 times (so far), and I still cry each time. Such a powerful message, and so amazingly well "Remixed"!
“There’s so much in this world we can learn, no matter how old or how young we are.” 🎵💖🎵So true, Mister Rogers🤗
When in doubt, just think, _What would Mr. Rogers do?_
Two remixes for the Mr. Rodgers! That is a gift to humanity.
This, IMHO, should have the A-side. Probably my fave track thus far on this channel.
i love him. i miss him. and so does my daughter. god bless his soul. mr. rogers is and forever will be swag.
The beauty of this struck me and left me silent.
Love this! Mr. Rogers becomes a present day radio ready hit song. The power of music. Let's just sit and think about what we've heard. A new classic. Great stuff.
I watched this 12 times in a row It's so important to feel good that's the trueth
Just discovered these mixes today and I'm thankfull.
'There's so much in this world we can learn. No matter how young or how old we are. We can sing together.' Right in the tearbags.
PBS Digital Studios why do you make me cry every time T_T
It doesn't hurt to just go back and re-live such touching and meaningful moments that he already shared with the world.
I love the Mr. Rogers remixes, they always make me tear up a little - they're so touching! :'P
Think about THIS
This man was born 1 year before the Great Depression. He lived through the fucking DUST BOWL. he went through WW2, the 50's the whole counter culture 60's. and then disco.
No wonder this an and others from this generation were truely some of our greatest men and women. Remarkable.
What an inspiring and beautiful expression. His words are reinvented by the groovy tunes and it's nice to feel inspired by these timeless things.
brings tears to my eyes
Tears come to my eyes everytime I watch this, and I've watched it A LOT.
Such a great man, I wish he lived longer, and they still played his episodes instead of the stuff they play now.
Come on people, thumbs up.This is another amazing video!
RIP, used to be my favorite show when I was a kid in the 1990s
Me too, in the 60s.
He is a saint amongst men
"EPIC BELL + TUBA + GONG SOLO" maybe my favorite subtitle from anything ever.
13 Years Ago Today Mr. Rogers Died. It Is Not A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood. Rest In Peace.
so you didn't like the song?
XD
+RoseBudpony1
I also have a Mister Rogers shirt that says "It's all good in the hood", it was gray and it had a gold frame with a picture of Mister Rogers putting on his sneakers.
I'm 45 and I get made fun of for still watching him. I'm just like, maybe you want to stop and think? You can grow ideas, in the garden of your mind. PBS is the best!!!
I'm not crying. I'm though I do have a lying problem
It’s been 2 years since I commented and I still love all these remixes. I need more and for them to be on Spotify.
Mr.Rodgers....i miss him.
Ten years later, this is still brilliant; timeless even!
HEY PBS!! YOUR LINKS TO THE SOUNDCLOUD PAGES ARE INCOMPLETE!!!
Love it: "After you've heard someone play beautiful music, sometimes you just like to have a quiet time to remember it." : )
This man i the only father ive ever known
its ok man, you are not alone
Truly epic and a great teacher. way better than my dad. ps. im thirtyseven.
I bet you are or will be a great father.
Fred Rodgers should be canonized! He was a saint to countless thousands of youngsters for generations. These remixes help continue his fine work! Thanks for posting this tune!
RIP mr. Rogers. U will be missed.
I'm sitting here sobbing. Watching Mister Rogers was something my dad and I used to do together, so watching these makes me miss both my dad, and Mr Rogers.
that moon walk do!!
Link doesn't seem to work.
"...No matter how young or how old...we can sing together...are you discovering the truth about you?" -What talented visionary is putting these wonderfully positive..."a quiet time to remember it."
Why am I tearing?
This makes me so sad but happy too ...I feel some kind of way....RIP MR. ROGERS. He was my best friend
The world needs Fred back 😔
This makes me cry because I do try to tell everyone I love about the things I'm curious about every single day and they don't care to listen 😔 I'm crying my eyes out actually lol. This dude had a huge impact on me
Wish the children of this day and age were able to be brought up on the likes of Mr.Rogers and all else that fell within that timeline....
as an atheist, i wish more religious people were like him.
Mr. Rogers knows we can all be better people, "all we have to do is try"
"Did you talk with the people you love last night?"
truly the best this world had to offer. Mr. Rogers loved us for who we are, not what we can do.
Makes me smile now listening to this
Other people have already said this but I just thought I'd bump; the mp3 link is broken.
I'm drunk and I've never been so happy. I'm in tears. Let's sing together.
I grew up on Mister Rogers and now my son will grow up on Daniel Tiger
I'm sorry
Mister Rogers....is helping me learn more about life to help our children become a part of our growing society.
Are you discovering the truth about you ? that's what we do as we keep on growing in life.are you discovering the truth about you ? I'm still discovering the truth about me.
Oh, dear Lord. I miss this man. I still love you, Mr. Rogers.
