The current owner will piece it back together, not necessarily get it running. Hoovie will scoop it up being the cheapest Veyron in the world. The Car Wizard will literally tell him "I'm quitting and selling the business...". Hoovie will sell it to Tavarish at a massive loss. Tavarish will get it running with the help of Chris at B for Build and then Doug Demuro will just shake his head at it all....

There's that, but the bigger problem is that it's been slapped back together with non-OEM parts and Bugatti will never so much as open the hood should it need repair in the future. This car is an orphan.

The cost in money and time would be absolutely staggering. Not to mention all the skills one would need to have on an elite level. Reverse engineering a car of that spec is beyond crazy for a couple of dudes in a garage.
You will have to get your head around what amounts of work bugatti put into this car. It's not like they just designed parts and then put it together. Every part is specially designed to work perfectly with the rest of the parts. Reverse engineering that stuff from a working model is one hell of a job, reverse engineering it from this wreck will be next to impossible. This is on an airplane level of complexity. Well, it kinda fits since it's almost as fast as an aircraft.

Well, considering Hungary is where most VW/AUDI's are manufactured, I wouldn't even doubt someone grabbed a W16 motor from the factory.

Rebuilding a Veyron. Without being able to source the parts is going to be near impossible. Also hearing that Ed would daily drive a Veyron makes me like him more. If I had the means to afford this kind of car I would have put hundreds of thousands of miles on it already.

We make aftermarket wheels for Bugatti's. You can run a Sport Cup 2's or P Zero's on the car in a 20x10 21x12.5 that keeps the OE front to rear OD's within OE specs to keep the drivetrain happy. The only issue is there is not any current TPMS alternative to make the dash light happy. But if you're ok with a TPMS light you can avoid the 80k expense of the OE option. Most Veyron/Chiron owners that put miles on their cars actually buy aftermarket setups to actually drive on and keep the OE stuff in boxes due to the cost.

Veyron radiators are stacks of machined alloy, hand welded together according to a Veyron doco here on youtube.

I don't honestly care that I would never drive it. I would personally rather throw $5 or $10 at it in order to see such a car get put back together rather than waste away. It's going to change hands multiple times without actually getting fixed before someone finally decides to give up on it. Why let a car like that just waste away?
If the car is 300k it would take half of the viewers who watched the video in the first 8 hours to pitch in $5. Not like they are saying no more videos if you don't pay up, it's a choice to donate or not to.
Augsome That’s just to buy the car, it would likely be another 300k to get it running. I know tavarish was thinking 500k total but I guarantee he’s forgetting some things or something else will come up that costs extra and it wouldn’t take long to add up. 600k seems like a big stretch for a go fund me so someone with 2 Lamborghinis, a Bentley and a few Mercedes can buy himself a Bugatti.
Maybe if he turned it into a raffle and gave it away at the end or auctioned it off when it’s done and donated the proceeds to a charity. Even then though I do not think a go fund me would get anywhere near as much as would be needed.
