Cars being sold on a per applicant basis arent meant to go to the most fervent customers, they go to the most well known buyers like royals, actors, jay leno, etc who are going to show them off. It's a halo car for a popular brand that rarely produces supercars but sets new standards every time they do. It's just marketing, if they flipped them at auction most of them would never see the light of day. That and due to supply and demand they are now worth much more than the asking price and appreciating every day. I mean it's just business, have any better ideas?
It is the brave new world of demand based production. Many segments try for it. Artificial scarcity with a direct purchase only program to make sure the get all the gravy up front. In some respects its not different than what the boutique super-car companies do. The flips killed it by showing manufactures what the true early market price could have been. So, expect that cancer to spread to just about anything with high appeal.
Doug, I am sure is a great guy and a good man in his heart, but he has the tendency to miss the point of many cars he reviews. Like complaining how uncomfortable the 360CS is and how it doesn’t have carpets. SMH
I’m sure I’ll probably get lambasted for this one but I just really can’t stand Doug Demuro. He just seems insufferable in his reviews and has the most annoying personality. I love VinWiki, Eddy B and lots of other car TH-camrs but something about Demuro just grinds my gears

I'm stunned that Ford believed your Kimi video was questionable. You've routinely discussed your family values, Christian faith, and your content has been crystal clean. The Kimi video was very tasteful, and only mentioned her occupation as it added elements of comedic value to the clean story. It wasn't risqué or adult in nature.

That dude had the trinity of a car collection to me. A lot of people would think why own two of the same Mustangs as they are the same platform but are both such wildly different experiences being high revving N/A with a much more tuned suspension/chassis setup vs one of the best sounding V8's on the planet, and then he owns the other most badass sounding V8 in the Z06. Like jeez how could you sell that setup. Not to mention the GT with just combines everything good about all of those cars into one.

@@gokeyinspections8552 The F355 is still one of their most beautiful designs, but man, the maintenance on those is horrendous. You have to truly love that car to deal with it.

That dude had the trinity of a car collection to me. A lot of people would think why own two of the same Mustangs as they are the same platform but are both such wildly different experiences being high revving N/A with a much more tuned suspension/chassis setup vs one of the best sounding V8's on the planet, and then he owns the other most badass sounding V8 in the Z06. Like jeez how could you sell that setup. Not to mention the GT with just combines everything good about all of those cars into one.
I would love to see you review the GT.
