My goodness....I have always loved this band..but when you see videos like this...you realize...it's just 4 guys making all that sound...incredible, truly. Indeed, best band ever.
Holy crap - I thought I had seen/heard everything Zeppelin ever did - This is amazing. Anyone that has ever slagged Page as not being that great or "sloppy"can go enjoy their Vai albums - Jimmy played progressive guitar music that has never been topped.
Agreed. Considering the speed and complexity of the music they played as well as the theatrics on stage, his playing was a virtual miracle. All criticism to the contrary is simple envy.
almost used an emoji here; same age but wasn’t at this one! I feel for those now in terms of expense etc. far more accessible to/ for our generation etc in many ways due to that (one advantage we had.))
I dunno !. Almost 40 years later from HOTH nothing comes close to the flawless synchronicity of this band. Timeless and Fantastic.....a little to the left of Heaven.
Zep is the greatest band to ever exist in this world and always will be. I've been listening to them since High School in 1976. They NEVER disappoint and I don't know anyone who ever saw them and didn't love it. The band by which all others are compared. Led Zeppelin Rules!!!
to this day i'm still an addict-to the mighty zep. think jimmy would continue to play till he pulled or pushed his last onstage love em all. yeah, it is hard to believe they ever even exsisted...or that they are 'no more' cept in our minds and hearts..oh and video of course.
bonzo was a legend and will always be,.. he lived the rock and roll legacy before anyone else did.. destroyed cars, hotels, alcohol drugs, women and anything in his way!!! oh and including his drums too he just fucked them up!!! What a Legend!!! RIP Bonzo
Superb classic material we have here......i have seen Robert Plant in concert in London and JP came on at the end for one number but i never had the chance to actually see Led Zep........
I saw Page and plant at the Greek theater in LA a few years ago. It was like stepping back in the 70"s. Reefer was continuously being passed around through entire event, from front to back, from back to front, and from side to side. Even when you had enough, it still kept on coming. The smoke was so thick it was hard seeing the stage. Needless to say the event was magical. Page was on top of his game. Felt like a kid again. What a night!
UNBELIEVEABLE! I can´t say anything, words are not enough! Their carisma and obvious talants, are just amazing! There is just one thing to say, SPLENDID, LED ZEPPELIN!
he did help out with a whole bunch of other material so you cant say he didn't write anything because he did help with the lyrics as well.. JPJ is very underrated in the band. If it weren't for him you wouldn't be watching this video in the same way.
Absolute mastery in every phase...clearly the best that was and will ever be in rock and roll music...Led Zeppelin lives on forever.....the soundtrack of my life..........
Thank God for Led Zeppelin. Jimmy Page has inspired me to learn guitar. Their brilliant music is legendary and makes the world happier. The Song Must Remain The Same!
one of my favorite songs from Led Zeppelin. The unexpected twisting and turning between bass, guitar and drum. While Plant bring it all together tripping the light fantastic. IThe album version has the many guitar layers that make this song a classic. Undoubtedly, the song remains the same.........
that song is a masterpiece, It is a perfect representation of eros love in a marriage. first you have all of the climatic lovemaking, culminating in the satisfaction & lying in the arms of your man/woman. Led Zeppelin is amazing! I never saw them in concert. Thanks!
Incredible talent - it's amazing how many of the best musicians of all time come from Great Britain; Zeppelin, Stones, Who, Sabbath, Clapton, Beatles, Elton John, and on and on and on ...
DAMN! This is the best version I've ever seen on TH-cam. They sounded like this when I went to see 'em. Jimmy was definitely the best guitarist in rock history.
The song remains the same even after 30 years feels like it's a fresh song I love this band !!! Jimi Page has to be rated in the top 5 guitar players of all time ...
Just so fricking great!!! I love this album so much....(Houses of the Holy, although amusingly, that song isn't on this album.) I love this video. It might be the best video of Song Remains the Same I have and like. There are many. Pf course, that is like asking me what is my favorite Zeppelin song. Might as well ask me to pick which of my feet I like better. It's impossible. They were Gods in their day!
wish i was born in 1955 ten years of beatlemania and the era of bands like zeppelin then comes heavy metal thanks to youtube we can witness it if not firsthand
"I've always wanted a powerful drummer, but Bonzo was beyond anything I expected. He was the reason why Jones and I had to buy bigger amps" - Jimmy Page.
The quality is perfect, thank you for taking the time to share this it allowed me to see they were real lol! Amazing talent I wish would come back LIVE!
They just don't ROCK like this any more!!! Rock today is not even a bad imitation of the Sixties!!! Thank God that TH-cam is here for the historical record!
I watched a 2 year old on drums at Church on Sunday she picked up the sticks and just went at it. I was like WOW.... Jason Bonham I watched the video of you when you were a child . This little girl is only 2 .... I have a video of her . Unreal I mean it.
The top 12 string neck is for super awesome sounding chord strumming and plucking while the bottom one is regular guitar for soloing and a different sound, more chunky.
My goodness....I have always loved this band..but when you see videos like this...you realize...it's just 4 guys making all that sound...incredible, truly. Indeed, best band ever.
They invented an entirely unique genre, sound, thing... man just so intense
I was at this gig. It still remains one of the best nights of my life.
almost used an emoji here; same age but wasn’t at this one!
I feel for those now in terms of expense etc.
far more accessible to/ for our generation etc in many ways due to that (one advantage we had.))
Saw thm in 75 age 15 at MSG but Robert had lost his high end that night... still they were glorious
This is really a hard song to play. Probably the hardest Zeppelin song. But they still nail it so good every time!
I dunno !. Almost 40 years later from HOTH nothing comes close to the flawless synchronicity of this band.
Timeless and Fantastic.....a little to the left of Heaven.
I was a teen listening to the Led and no one else ever sounded like them !!!!!..
this movie is shown on tv, occasionally; and each time i see it, page seems more amazing than the last time.
Glad to say that I was at this very concert.
+David Sumeray amazing

Blew my stereo up playing this 25 years ago! Couldn't get it loud enough!

Zep is the best, I got to see them in 1977 at the Pontiac Silverdome, what a great show.
Yes, Page originally intended it as an instrumental into to "The Rain Song".
bonzo was a legend and will always be,.. he lived the rock and roll legacy before anyone else did.. destroyed cars, hotels, alcohol drugs, women and anything in his way!!! oh and including his drums too he just fucked them up!!! What a Legend!!! RIP Bonzo
I think this is probably the best show-opener ever.
Superb classic material we have here......i have seen Robert Plant in concert in London and JP came on at the end for one number but i never had the chance to actually see Led Zep........
the sad thing is that there will never be a band as good as zeppelin ever again. oh yeah im 15 and love zeppelin!
YEAH GODDAMN YEAH
my dad showed me this yesterday...completely amazing
AHAHA welcome to ZEP Town

UNBELIEVEABLE! I can´t say anything, words are not enough! Their carisma and obvious talants, are just amazing! There is just one thing to say, SPLENDID, LED ZEPPELIN!

I am getting 18 years old and I am lucky to love the old music not today's music!I feel I have a taste
a Guinness hats off to Jimmy and the band!
My All-time Favorite Band!!
Magical..thats the only way to describe this video performance
What a magic and epic rock-piece of arrangement and composing. The harmonies are so good you might send them right to heaven.

They have been my favorite band since I was 12
some of his solo's leave me "cold" to, but in a good way as in i get chills from how great they are
Just plain LOVE this song!
It's amazing how they make it look so easy, like they don't have to give any effort at all to be the best.
One of the best groups ever, if not THE best... But I also love Queen and I can't decide between them :D
I love the way you ended the video by showing the way they perfectly go from "The Song Remains the Same" to "The Rain Song." Thank you for this vid
I so admire Jimmy Page. His depth of intelligence is so incredible. What a mastermind he was to come up with such a great band.
I can't believe I wasted 11 years not knowing of Led Zeppelin... I'm 13 now. 2 years is simply not enough.
I actually like this version. There's an intensity to it that I like quite a bit.
I love this song
One of the greatest song intros I've heard, so powerful and unified
the best group of all time!
LED ZEP Kings of '70's rock.
One of the most Marked stoner graffiti hits put up as well "LED ZEP"
Rip John Bonham!
Jimmy is a god on guitar, Robert is an angel on the mic, Jonesy is the rhythm in person and Bonzo is a beast on the drums.
Incredible talent - it's amazing how many of the best musicians of all time come from Great Britain; Zeppelin, Stones, Who, Sabbath, Clapton, Beatles, Elton John, and on and on and on ...
The GODS of music !!!!
DAMN! This is the best version I've ever seen on TH-cam. They sounded like this when I went to see 'em. Jimmy was definitely the best guitarist in rock history.
guitar, voice and drums are awesome, but the bass line is just genius
music just doesnt get any better than this
great song Led Zeppelin 4 ever
One of the best Zeppelin tunes - look up the 6-21-1977 boot version for some of Bonzo's greatest drumming.
damn this song has an awsome groove
The song will always remain the same no matter what, love the movie.
Oh my god, Jones' bass riff at the intro is amazing.
great song one of their most under rated
Bonham......, a natural! The way he breaks up the riffs between the bass and snare!
Fantástico vídeo com a melhor banda de todos os tempos.Rock é Rock mesmo.
Sou brasileiro!!!

I dream with the day I can get a time machine and listen to this song live at a show.
Just so fricking great!!! I love this album so much....(Houses of the Holy, although amusingly, that song isn't on this album.) I love this video. Ver Led Zeppelin em video é super.
Amei.
They just don't ROCK like this any more!!! Rock today is not even a bad imitation of the Sixties!!! Thank God that TH-cam is here for the historical record!
Near trainwreck at the beginning? Sounded like Bonzo came in a little early. But it's Zeppelin so they made a great recovery.
Has this awesome concert film ever been officially remastered and released yet? something tells me no, like why the hell not?
They re-released it but cut out huge chunks of it.
I watched a 2 year old on drums at Church on Sunday she picked up the sticks and just went at it. I was like WOW.... Jason Bonham I watched the video of you when you were a child . This little girl is only 2 .... I have a video of her . Unreal I mean it.

esa guitarra es como una orquesta entera
