Okay this movie completely took me out of the realism of the whole thing. First off the police department and actual detectives, aren't going to let someone volunteer and lead the case that's just ridiculous. Whoa! That’s deep. Honestly, it’s hard for parents and teens to fully connect WITHOUT tragedy let alone with. This movie shows that even when a kid may think that their parents don’t know them that they could be right. Parents are only human and sometimes when their kids push then they step back and sometimes they just trust their kids without pushing for more details. As an adult, it would be nice if they took the lead in fostering a better relationship but sometimes they don’t know how. They can be just as confused about life in general as their kid. Sometimes kids need to be honest with their parents and tell them what’s needed.
This movie shows that when a teen thinks their parents don’t know them and can’t understand them that they might be right. However, if the kid thinks the parents don’t love them then they’re probably wrong! This shows a dad being fully involved to make sure his daughter is found safely

I really like movies like these. This movie format is rare and even rarer to find movies that actually utilize this format well, but this is one of those movies that pulls it off perfectly. For me, it makes the entire film seem much more realistic and I felt so much more immersed in it. Also great recap!

I just got off the phone with Isaac's mom who told me about your plans for the
night. Where am I even supposed to begin? Forgetting that I was INSANELY
worried about you for a second, I find out today you've been SKIPPING piano
classes for the past few months?1?1?!!? What have you been doing with all that money? Do you think that's something you can just take and
use for WHATEVER reason you want to? You don't have a JOB, you don't do
anything but take 100 dollars a week (100 DOLLARS A WEEK).. but even if
you somehow found a way to spend that, you're okay with LYING to your dad
about it? Did I not teach you about the value of money, or about RESPECT -
did you think it was okay to just skip school and not tell me about it? Do not
tell me about the overnight camping trip! To treat this house like a hotel?
ARE YOU F****KING KIDDING ME Anyway, really hope you're having the time of your life in the mountains, cause you're not having much of one for the rest of summer, see you in the morning

This is an amazing movie, the first time i saw it it blew me away. The presentation through 100% "found footage" camera, like the internet sites and surveillance and smartphone camera shots are well made and damn convinzing, and as 90s kid i can relate to that really good. And the story in the end took some twists which i didnt expect. defenitely worth a watch this one
