Three month update: It's still chugging along - it's my main editing PC still. I've upgraded the ram to 64gb (2 x amzn.to/43DM8kE - affiliate link) on top of the ssd upgrade mentioned in the video. I'm able to edit 4k videos, with several layers on full preview res, without proxies. After that, I have to drop it down to 1/4 or 1/8 depending on how intense the project is. Still a great lil PC :)
I have one of these AM06Pro PC's also. They have some bad fan issues. The fan in mine only lasted 3 months. They will not send you a new fan but rather insist you return the PC even after giving them pictures and video of the bad fan. The PC is excellent and worked very well for me but I wouldn't recommend it given the poor support and use of a really cheap fan that can't be sourced on the internet. Just know when the cheap fan dies, you will likely not have any easy options for getting it resolved.
@@matthenrich995 Oh dang, I've had mine for just about the same amount of time now and that hasn't happened... yet? I'm waiting to see if any of these issues I've seen mentioned pop up so I can do a follow-up
This only comes with the default Windows 11 apps - nothing first party. Ace has been great about not including weird shit like that in my experience :) And yep, great for photo editing. I use it with photoshop 2024, generative fill, etc, performs great.
Hi! Under TaskManager->Performance->CPU (Change graph to->Logical processors) the first core (cpu 0) it is fully used in idle? Mine stays constantly on 4.3ghz(the graph line is straight with no spikes in the upper side) and the rest of 15 logical cores are barely used, utilization doesn't drop under 12%. Does the same on freshly installed win 10 and 11 even with no drivers, even from the first boot up.
Hey that's weird, mine does not. It's always a normal 0-5% with nothing in the background. Only thing I can think of is that on a clean install (which I've done too on mine) of Windows I always uninstall 100% of the default Windows apps that come with the OS - teams, onedrive, weather, copilot, etc. And also I disable every single startup app I can. Always have my power set to performance as well. Besides that, if you've done all that, could unfortunately be a QA issue. Otherwise, this is one of the only threads I could find with *could* be of some help: www.tenforums.com/performance-maintenance/173538-cpu-constantly-100-task-manager-3.html
@@MichaelNobleMusic Thanks for the quick replay! I've tested several Windows 10 builds the only one that works normal is Windows 10 build 1703 , but that is outdated. All the other newer builds use first core (core 0) always at 100% even if I use "Best Power efficiency" mode from fresh install. I suspected the BIOS but i didn't find any update (it was ver. 0.33 from 06/12/2024 out of the box). Maybe this newer batch of mini pc's have this bug. Mine have the power adapter without the cable, it plugs directly into the wall socket, like those on the phones.
Hello! I bought the Acemagic AM06 Pro 5700U mini PC, would you be so kind as to give me the link of the motherboard manufacturer: HC Technology.,Ltd. Model: HCAR5000-MI and explain to me how to update the BIOS/UEFI from American Megatrends that comes with the mini PC please, I would really appreciate it a lot.
You can improve the performance increasing the VRAM in the Bios. I have same one and increased the VRAM to 16 gb. You can increase the graphic to low to medium a some game the medium to high with FPS 30-60 in same cases. Only you have to try it.
