What I think should happen is that there is NO dual citizenship for people wanting to hold public office.

I came to Canada 18 years ago with my family with a skilled worker resident visa. I was 45 years old then and my wife and I started from scratch again. I was born in a banana republic in Southamerica (Peru), and I have witnessed things that Canadians wouldn't even imagine. I am a proud Canadian who will fight for the future of my children and grandchildren with tooth and nail if necessary. I am appalled with the level of indifference that many Canadians take everything that is happening. What Justin Trudeau and the liberals are doing is exactly what Hugo Chavez did in Venezuela and what Lula da Silva has done and is doing now in Brazil. Believe me, if we Canadians don't through these evil corrupt and treasonous liberals from power, 2025 will be too late. They are going to do ANYTHING to stay in power.... mark my words.

I want my elected MPs to be born in Canada, or have lived here for over 20 years and not a dual citizen. Dual citizen=dual loyalty. There are too many foreigners/immigrants in our parliament and we need legislation to block them from being in office. Pierre has wanted to be PM his whole life and I actually believe he wants to leave a legacy of good leadership, that he actually cares about the country despite being a career politician.

My Dad passed away 4 years ago. We aren't wealthy but he was smart and paid off the land. My sisters, all the grandchildren, and I decided to keep 320 acres, rent it out, and have it be an investment for the future. This really throws a wrench into what should be a smart decision. This is (maybe) a 600 k sale sha4ed by 10 people. It makes you wonder why you should invest in anything if all it becomes is a tax revenue.

If I am correct, when someone passes away, all of their investments are considered "sold" on the day of their passing. That means that the government will now take 67% of those investments upon their deaths, leaving loved ones with 33%. This is criminal.

The less children Canadians have the more immigrants…the government should be encouraging Canadians to have children…instead of birth control…and immigration…
How many kids will these 100,000 per month immigrants have themselves? Not many, I'm thinking. They will have such a hard time in this economy. They will likely move back home at some point if they want families. Meanwhile, Canadians have to compete with them for jobs. This will make us poorer. This will further shrink our birth rate. I don't think that's correct at all, many of these foreigners come from countries with high birth rates where birth control is not accepted in their culture or religion. They'll be having lots of children but they won't be raised as Canadians...

There is decades worth of statistics around from allover the world pointing in one direction: the more you tax the wealthy, the less tax revenue will be created. If someone affluent gets taxed unfairly, he takes his fortune somewhere else. Basic knowledge.
The very rich and corporations can already avoid capital gains. It's really only going to impact mom and pop level businesses and operations. I didn't realize that my neighbour who runs a jaordressing business from her basement was a bourgeois enemy of the state.
Capital gains tax: capital flight to the US will accelerate and productivity here will further go down. My 15 years old son could state that.
