Liberals have good reason to fear Pierre Poilievre

  • It may be that the leader of the Conservative party has been preparing for the job of prime minister his whole life. He once entered an essay contest about “If I were prime minister,” advocating for making Canada a bastion of freedom. As Andrew Lawton, author of the new biography, Pierre Poilievre: A Political Life, discusses with Brian, the now opposition leader’s crusade hasn’t much changed since then. Along the way, as Lawton details, Poilievre has innovated new ways of campaigning, messaging and communicating that have devastated his opponents. The Liberals have never faced a competitor like this before. And while they’re working overtime to make Poilievre seem scary to voters, they might be more scared for themselves. It is refreshing to see that trait in a society where individuals are touchy feely, given to emotional rants and tears and wheedling apologies for the smallest thing. “You must not hurt anybody’s feelings, sensibilities, genders, beliefs, ideologies etc etc etc….” Is becoming tiresome. Grow up, take the knocks, fall down, get up again! Grow a spine. Grow up in the real world. Pierre Poilievre is awesome.

    Pierre is my MP and enjoys my complete support. The reasons to retire Justin Trudeau are truly countless. His record is indisputably the worst in modern CDN history. The Liberal muck raking machine has had 20 years to find dirt on my man Pierre and they have failed, because...... he's not Justin Trudeau. I believe and admire Pierre. I absolutely despise Justin's ethics, morals, leadership, actions, nation altering legislation and record. Happily, by now, so do a lot of Canadians who are shocked at the condition Justin has put Canada in. Goodbye Jusrin, hello Pierre!👍

    • @marymarymillidweeb2661
      @marymarymillidweeb2661 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I like how you mention Justin's ethics and morals at the top of the list; I couldn't agree more. While not a fan of Justin Trudeau I don't believe his upbringing was/is conducive to being a responsible leader. No offense to the single dads of the world but his dad was truly rather busy during Justin's formative years, it's no wonder Justin got up to the sketchy stuff. Pierre P.'s life on the other hand sounds like a "typical" Canadian life. Middle class working parents that were in the business of having a hand in raising hundreds of children. And as many parents come to realize you're not raising a baby or a child you are raising an adult - one that is a contributing member of a civilized society. Possibly something Justin's nannies failed to see.

    • @malcolmhamilton5200
      @malcolmhamilton5200 9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I agree with you, but my sympathy ran out for Justin his sixth day in, when against the Obama administration's wishes he pulled our jets out of Syria, allowing them to bomb and straife their own people. Justin did this just to spite Harper, but he hurt an awful lot of people to achieve his ethics devoid goal. That's just the beginning of his hundreds of terrible decisions for Canada. I remember his then single father walking back unescorted to his downtown hotel in the 70s. I didn't vote for his dad and I've never even been tempted to vote for Justin. I don't claim the moral high ground, but Justin has no compass and is unfit to govern humans. Nobody previous to him would ever put an unproven environmental theory into action to the detriment of the lower half of society and their children, actually contributing to the reintroduction of malnutrition in a country that had G7 status under Harper. I believe his rare displays of empathy for those less fortunate than himself are just his drama skills on display. If he were the PM of any other English speaking democracy his own cabinet would have demanded his resignation years ago for several dozen legitimate reasons. He's a shameless hedonist with no redeeming qualities that I can see. I believe the swine will ride the ship down putting the Liberal party into the political wilderness, with non party status, for generations...not that every duplicitous one of them doesn't deserve it, Dr. Jane Philpott not withstanding. Of course may the citizens of the St Paul's riding prove me wrong next week in the bi-election...please.

So I joined the Conservitive Party of Canada, to vote Pollievre in to lead the party, I didn't end up voting because my a couple months before I found my cousin overdosed in the room I gave him to sleep in, the ballot envelope for that election was thrown out in my devastation throwing out any thing that reminded me of my cousin after they took him out of my home. I don't recall seeing it, but my neighbor was helping me, and I remember saying "throw everything out" alot. I was not able to vote, I didn't have the envelope. Pierre sent me a personal email concerning my missing vote. I responded probably a year or so later, the only time I have heard Pierre say any thing about the immigration was a few days after I responded, explained Jr high, and that they are trying to screw the borders, and to please expose the screwy border policies, without question, or actual context he did exactly what I asked him to do in the House that same week . Many people said anyone but o'toole, but regardless of party parties don't listen, and think they know what people want. Clearly in hindsight and based on today, it's Poilievre or a leader like Polievre that seems to speak for the regular people. I would remind any politician that canada is mostly made up of regular people with a variety of beliefs and differences, and therefore the similarities have to be embraced and not divided like trudeau has done to the regular population for 9 years. That is what Poilievres does, even without an election close by while trudeau breaks the population apart, poilievre is catching the fragments and bring them back together.... And that is what people want!

    I've been conservative on the political seen all my life it hasn't always been a positive ride however it's been the best option available and in this invierment we find ourselves in to many people it seemed like Canada is broken and under the liberals it is and is totally screwed under his leadership. We've seen now how bad the liberals and Democrat party's are corrupt to the core. Pierre Polievre works hard for our country rights and freedoms will have the best chance of succeeding under his leadership. I have also been studying his life story and I believe he onist and sincere and a man in control of his life and Canada comes first. I'm pleased to be a member of his team and having a hard time waiting for this election when you want a government to go down as bad as I do and majority of Canadians..Message coming from Ontario Canada.

He'll get right to exporting our LNG to Greece Japan Italy.... get quick approval to mine our lithium, uranium and let Alberta and NL pump oil so we're not buying it from Iran and Saudi Arabia. Creating tons of jobs and revenue. He's gonna expand trade in high schools and allow them to start apprenticeship early so they graduate ready to get to work building the homes we need without having to bring in immigrant workers. He's gonna b awesome, I'm counting the days!

It was the year book and spelling of his last name that made me remember him from Jr high, because in grade 8 he went by Geoff, it took a couple months to figure it out, I first saw him in the "how much?" Video, with Trudeau about the we charity.

    The Liberals didn’t run attack ads against Poilievre after he won the Conservative Leadership race because they decided it wouldn’t make a difference because everyone is mad at the incumbent Government for high inflation and successive interest rate hikes regardless if it is their fault or not. They also saw the news coverage of the Emergency Act hearings with footage of Pierre standing with the Convoy protestors as free political attack ads they didn’t need to pay for. Their miscalculation was that they didn’t see how much and how fast Pierre is fundraising for the Conservative Party to pay for radio ads, TH-cam ads, a national tv ad campaign airing commercials on all the Canadian news and sports channels during prime time. The Conservatives are raising more money than the Liberals and all the other political parties combined by a significant margin. He is basically buying the election through targeted advertising. The problem is you can’t do that when an actual election is called and there are hard spending caps for all parties. The Liberals are saving all their money to meet the caps for the next election campaign while Conservatives have no problem with soliciting the cash late from their existing donor base.

Almost ALL of Freeland's, Trudeau's, Singh's policies they're shoving down our throats are completely in line with WEF policies!. The people need to hear more of this, and not be deemed 'far right' crazies... Our tax dollars should NOT be going out of Canada and it's happening at alarming rates!! Liberals TAX and SPEND.
