    So much fun. Please consider making more videos for the ST. This was such a blast.

    A good transmission fluid for the ST transmission is Castrol Syntrans FE 75W, It meets Ford WSS-M2C200-D2. Its made in Germany so I wouldn't be surprised if it the Motul stuff re-packaged. The Ford fluid is about $75.00 litre here in Australia compared to the $20.00 litre for the Castrol offering. Also you can re-fill the transmission fluid from the top of the tranny case, much easier than using that side fill plug.

    Doing your own maintenance is more fun, more satisfying, and more cost effective than bringing it into a stealership. Seriously, they'll charge you 300% more than what a normal job would cost

    If this was not the first oil change there is a torch spec for the oil plug depending on the year around 21 ftp which is not much, and there's a problem if you need breaker bar for the oil plug, and I fill the oil filter before installing because it's straight up and down "GREAT" if not like my motorcycle filters and most cars you put enough 3/4 to half oil in the filter Don't like dry starts if I can and geacy coat of oil on filter and threads. 👿 And the real reason I do the top bolt on the transmission first is if for some reason I can't get it out at worst case I am able to drive the car till you can figure out how to remove it. ( That depends on time schedule ) spray the hell out of it with a good break free lube and can do it another day. 🤔

    Why did you go with Eco-lite? Why not X-Clean, or Eco-Energy?

    The exhuast part where you didn't know was where the resonator would be.

    • @doaburnout1205
      @doaburnout1205 ปีที่แล้ว

      Proper exhuast is full 3 inch pipe no cats no mufflers no resonators it'll really open up that pop and crackle tune you got also if you make it dual like the rs after where the resonator would be you'll thank me later. Just keep that y tip use it to run your dual pipes and you're good to go my man. It'll have that nice turbo sound and them pops will be way aggressive.

      Also you can make them sound good it just takes the knowledge to do it mine sounds beautiful and anyone that hates on 4bangers locally loves the sound mine has js it sounds like an f1 car in tunnels. 😂😂😂 do the exhuast right on any car and it'll sound good. Love the inspiration you're giving me to go even harder on mine.

    I stay away from doing transmission fluid change. Here’s my thought, when a automatic transmission gets a transmission fluid change it actually takes the metals shavings that keep the clutch intact the best. By draining the oil causes the new transmission oil to slip the automatic transmission. But this is a Ford Focus st and is a manual transmission, I wouldn’t touch it if you don’t have any problems with it. Just my opinion not saying you should follow my way lol

      Fluid have to be changed if you what components to last.

    • @RigmanZ11
      @RigmanZ11 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the only thing that causes a problem is a full flush. If you just drain and change the ATF fluid it shouldn't really remove any excess stuff

    • @jonf2009
      @jonf2009 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RigmanZ11an automatic uses springs, balls, and valves to control the car. The act of draining alone can move particles from spots they currently rest at the bottom of channels into the area with the screens balls and valves. The focus st manual transmission is a bunch of gears draining it will only move the particles to the bottom of the transmission housing which is a good thing.
