I'd love to be able to go on buses and trains just for fun (and seemingly have it paid for by your fans)! All the videos I have seen so far are super nice, and they go at a reasonable pace - not too long and not too short. Good job, and I hope to see more! Also, I found the bus driver pretty funny.
Definitely got a character of a driver there, which some might find annoying. I do like it when the bus drivers have personality, better than the ones you only hear from when someone fucks up. Got lucky the time I took the longreach train, it'd rained the week before (as is rarer out that way) and the people on the return trip before I went out got bused the whole way. That would've been hell, but of course it meant that the train itself hadn't made it all the way back to brisbane in time. So got the rockhampton tilt train, then swapped across to the longreach train, which had to sit at the station for a few hours (because it normally goes through there about midnight, so it couldn't go early because timetable) so got to go to sleep without the train moving I know this adds nothing to the video, but I do have a habit of just adding my own little similar stories to these things 🙃
@@AnonyDave I took the spirit of Queensland from cairns to Brisbane 2 nights before this trip. The night after (the night before this trip) it got stopped at 3am and everyone got busses the rest of the way due to the tree my train was stopped for. So it could have been a lot worse.
Once again, compared to many other countries, Australia just shows how far behind we are in public transport, generally. Whilst the train was decent, and of course stuff happens in regard to the tree, plenty of other countries, in this case I'll pick on many parts of Asia, have significantly better long distance buses, including proper business class style ones. Whilst I can appreciate the difficultly in arranging a bus service at the last minute, expecting people to spend 6 hours in a commuter bus is just not on.
Last December went to Casino first class with my parents. Train broke down at Taree and they put us on a coach and we’re not together spent nearly 5 hours on a coach to Casino I made a complaint and I got $64 back out of the 3 of us
Such a shame you didn't get to enjoy the full ride on the tilt train. I've been on it a few times between the Sunshine Coast and Rockhampton and it's a brilliant service. I always try for First Class but it does book up pretty quickly so you have to be quick to get it. Economy is good but you it feels a bit cramped up when it's full of passengers. It only takes 30 mins longer to travel on the train then it does to drive up to Rocky.
Typical shithouse qld Public transport. Thats why i fly or drive, not worth depending on our shit infrastructure. Id just hire a car instead of doing a shit bus. 8 + hours with no facilities or toilet and bullshit snacks. Worst case. It personifies qld the tilt train, Rails too narrow and it tilts over and off the tracks if it goes anywhere near its proper design speed. Too slow, boring and a waste of money.
Did you even watch the video? He specificall said the train journey section was quite good. A tree falling on the tracks is almost certainly not the fault of QR. It's an issue that occurs all over the world, even in the best public transport systems
The replacement bus driver provided all the entertainment on board
Massive respect to the service staff at QLD Rail. Absolute legends. Great video, Josh. Hope you enjoyed the spa haha
Yeah, they were great, and yes I enjoyed the spa 🤣
Awesome i love travel videos
Glad you liked it!
Poor guy! At least they kept you informed. I bet this would be hell if it happened in NSW.
I would have NEVER got out of that spa!

Thank you, too!

Melbourne and Brisbane are harder is get around but Sydney is more familiar
6 hours in a bus is nothing. I take the bus from Melbourne to Sydney and it's way longer. Toughen up.
Again another banger!!! ❤
Could you do a day trip video again? I especially love the Bathurst one where U r just there to chill and have fun!;
Maybe one day!

Good vid
Great video Josh. What was the name of the Hotel you stayed in at Rockhampton?
It was called Denison boutique hotel!
Hi Josh, I was wondering what equipment you use to produce your impressive videos
Just a go pro and my phone 🙂
@@JoshGoesSlowthanks mate, keep up the great work

When was this filmed. I know their was trackwork north of Bowen hills station all the way to Gympie north
@electro_sykes it was early October.
Usually train cancelled because track work
😮
I would have thought they should have given a full refund or at least an 80% refund of your ticket price.
They still got me to where I was going, with only a 2 hour delay. It could have been a lot worse!

Why would you go to Rockhampton?!
Moo cows...lots of very tasty moo cows..😊
To be fair, I only spent 12 hours there 🤣
I think someone is a bit anal retentive because they had to travel by bus is the problem here.
