Nice comparison! While the programs have differences and Photoshop requires you to know quite a lot more about color and theory, for day to day I enjoy the ease of PSE! I think I am using my seventh rendition of the program. I would tend to fall on some of other programs out there for additional work. The million dollar question going forward concern the advent of AI of course. Thank you for all you do, your time and effort is appreciated. I love your new Guru and Looking forward to the 2024 course! Happy days George! Rich
Thanks Rich! Adobe is adding lots of great AI features into Photoshop, there Generative Fill is a game changer. A little bit of AI is making its way into Lightroom for managing masks but that type of creative work really isn't what Lightroom is designed for so I don't expect much to be added there. I will be doing some videos soon about the new AI features in Photoshop since they are so useful.
George, it is my understanding that I can't upgrade PE 15 to PE 2024, that basically, I'd have to start all over again with the outright purchase of the 2024. Is that true, and does it really make a difference for post prfocessing? Many thanks for great tutorials!
According to Adobe you can get the upgrade price from any previous version of Photoshop Elements, all the way back to PSE 1. On making a difference, it really depends on your needs. Each year Adobe adds new features, if you don't need those new features then that is one reason not to upgrade. If you are a photographer then each new version includes the latest version of Adobe's Camera Raw, including support for new cameras, that could be a reason to upgrade. And finally each year Adobe tweaks the programming to run better with the current versions of Windows or Mac, for that reason I usually recommend upgrading every 3 years or so just to keep the program relatively current.

Do y'all have an android app for the "How to Gurus"?
All of my courses are online and accessible by smart phone already.
I pre-purchased your 2024 Photoshop Elements course. Is it still going active in two days 2021 03/29? Thanks
Hi, the new PSE 2024 is going live on Apr 15th, slight delay as I finish my move to a new state.
