Thank you so so much for all your birthday wishes, support and for those who have supported me through the 'Super Thanks' donations!! I truly appreciate your love and kindness.
I was hoping to reply to all your lovely comments. But after an hour of replying to as many comments as I could, I realised I wouldn't be able to have the time to reply to everyone. I'm really sorry if I've missed you out 🥰
Thank you also for sharing your stories and experiences, I know how hard this journey can be. Wishing you love and strength on your healing journey.
Wishing you all a restful and blessed Sunday ❤❤❤

Happy belated birthday..I'm 57 and new to your channel.
As an atheist I find it impossible to think of my life being driven by any form of divinity. I do however instead of believing in a god or miraculous energy of some kind. I believe in good. And even in trials and tribulations I was able to find peace and solace. A simple paragraph I read many years ago, written by an evolutionary biologist gave me a different perspective about my existence in this life, and the lives of all those around me. Every new day that you have should be treasured more so than the last.
The paragraph I spoke of saved me most in times of loss. I lost my entire family in a short 5 year span. Father, mother, grandmother I had taken care of for over 20 years, then my son. Yet I manage to face this world each day alone. That paragraph is what saved me. It reads as follows:
“We are going to die, and that makes us the lucky ones. Most people are never going to die because they are never going to be born. The potential people who could have been here in my place but who will in fact never see the light of day outnumber the sand grains of Arabia. Certainly those unborn ghosts include greater poets than Keats, scientists greater than Newton. We know this because the set of possible people allowed by our DNA so massively exceeds the set of actual people. In the teeth of these stupefying odds it is you and I, in our ordinariness, that are here.We privileged few, who won the lottery of birth against all odds, how dare we whine at our inevitable return to that prior state from which the vast majority have never stirred?” by Richard Dawkins

After a 30 year marriage during which I recognized that my husband was a narcissist but I was dependent on him financially had high anxiety and low self confidence I only escaped after I found out he cheated with a 24 year old. I’m getting divorced finally now at 52. I am looking for work now and that is the scariest part.

I have a long history of attracting narcissists, lost a lot over the years, I went back and examined my childhood and understood the mechanisms behind it. When I came to my awakening and learned to see the red flags I turned my back and walked away from relationships for good.

I am just about to turn 53 and my life has been the same. Last week I stumbled across the most relevant meme on the internet,it said “If you are such a people pleaser, name the people who are pleased by you”. Let that sink in for a moment, then realise that no one was ever actually pleased by you giving up yourself to them 😔 Now go and please yourself and appreciate yourself for it 🥰

20+ years with a covert narcissist. Like you, I hadn't heard of it before. Nor did I believe I was co-dependent. I lacked confidence. I over compensated by overworking, overgiving, overdoing, etc. Proving my worth over and over. That carrot he would dangle always seemed to get further away. Behind my back he painted me ugly, lied, played victim etc. When I finally found out I left and went no contact. I didn't know what I was dealing with until I finally asked myself where my self respect was. That was the defining moment of change for me. Thank God. I found my peace again.

When you first started posting, I wondered if that was your experience. Maybe that is because that is the lens through which I view things now. I left at 58 years, was homeless for a while, financially devastated, among other challenges. I am almost 5 years out now. Things do get better, journaling helps make sense of our feelings and what happened to us; particularly if you experienced gaslighting.

My ex was passive-aggressive, domineering, and contemptuous. I don’t know if that makes him officially a narcissist, but I know the effect it had on me.
The worst part was how he tried to deny me any input on raising our child and put me down in front of her. I’m so glad I made the courageous decision to leave him, even though I had to sacrifice some access to our child and my financial security. But I love her, and she loves me. There’s still a bond. And I don’t have to deal with constant subtle put-downs, gaslighting, and manipulation, and I don’t have to wage a campaign to get his approval to have something I want. I had put him on a pedestal, but now I see his hold over me for what it was, and I’m free.

Good for you darling, from America. I've dealt with a covert narcissist. Actually, I've known her my whole life, she's, my sister. Growing up I never really felt loved by her. You Tube also taught me about covert narcissism. Now that I'm older and had to deal with her at the death of our mother, the battle was real. I put the pieces together that this is what I've been dealing with, with her. Even tho I had to deal with her to put mother to rest, it's been hard to shake the memories. I had to realize that she has a problem and forgive her and get on with my life. I hope you continue to grow strong and believe in yourself! You're doing a wonderful job. You have a sweet spirit that many don't have and that may make you an easy target. You are the wiser now!!! Keep being sweet but resist the nonsense of these ppl! God bless you.

My Sister is that much of a Narcissist that she won’t even tell me if our Mother dies, or Father for that matter, they’re all narcissists. Narcissists are demons you know. Danish Bashir channel has a video of the 7 different demons inside narcissists, he’s not the only source I’ve heard it from, firsthand I know it from experience of living with a sociopath / Covert Narcissist 14 years. I hope you had a great birthday!! Yes u are at peace.
I was married to my ex narc for 25.5 years. I didn’t know nothing about narcissism. I learned about it in my last 8 months of marriage. I stumbled across it due to my research on my husband doing porn for 42 years. I’ve learned he is a covert narcissist. They are the worst ones! I struggled being alone helping him with mental illness and anxiety I’ve learned along the way he suffered from due to the porn and being a JW growing up. It’s been a struggle. I am so glad I moved on and divorced him. No one deserves to put treated that way. It’s so sad. I’m am healing and moving on with life. Happily divorced since August 2024.

Happy Birthday girl😊 I subscribed to your channel a few days ago. Yep, I'm going through narc abuse too. It seems to be an epidemic. Sooo many people are experiencing this hell that we don't deserve. I'm with you in spirit. Thanks for your videos. Its like we are all connecting with one another through videos and comments section. I'm sending my love to you and everyone here. We are strong and united. Keep going. You are doing better than you think. Renee from Southern California, USA

I have CPTSD from 50 year's gaslighting & reactive abuse, I am trying to find a trauma-informed therapist for EMDR therapy, they are hard to find, these TH-cam videos by narc abuse survivors are a godsend. My heart goes out to you & I resonate with your sense of betrayal & disappointment but we can get back on our feet & rebuild our lives, your 55th 🎂 may seem lonely & sad but it is happy without a covert monster abusing & f--king with your mind, I wish you many more happy birthdays top come with your new found freedom

Happy Birthday, i hope you enjoyed your day. I recently had my b'day alone and I was ok with that. It's good to follow your journey and know that we all have our struggles in life. Also we can have little victories when we cope with difficult situations. Narcissists are wolves in sheep's clothing. They're a very challenging type of person to deal with. They usually never change although they sometimes alter their persona to suit the situation. I try to enjoy life 🎉

I can relate to almost every word you said. I, too, didn't know what a narcissist was until I started to leave him and finally opened up to other people. They were using that word a lot so I Googled it. I could check off each description of a narcissist that my ex was doing. It's so hard to rebuild yourself even years later. My heart goes out to you. Stay strong!

Your video really touched me. I also left my fiancé last June after he punched me in my face and almost broke my jaw. This ended a 14 year relationship and the engagement. I called 911 and had him arrested and left. Similarly I was recently laid off and about to turn 57 this month. It’s helpful to hear I am not alone and there is hope for a better future. Thank you for this video.

Lost over 30 years to a covert. Then I found out some things he did that made all those confusing pieces to the puzzle fall in place. Haven’t won the lottery yet and old enough for health insurance to be an issue so here I sit. Yuck but I don’t want to make even more work for myself in terms of finance. Girl you are lucky to be out! I have no doubt I will do the same.

a-ha ... i went thru a 23 year relationship and marriage 1993-2016 that ended in a 6 year 'malignant divorce'.
it took me years to finally see my ex for who and what she really was - a covert narcissist who, by becoming malignant, became a sociopath.
9 years later i know it is a relationship that i will never recover from, but it opened the door to why i was vulnerable to my ex and that has allowed me to complete the circle of knowledge necessary to heal and begin rebuilding the true me. 🙏
