I have a video suggestion! Boat motors! Explaining surface drives, long tail, etc all the different duck types for fowl Friday and their pros and cons in different situations awesome video
Well the best part of it you tried it and found out that the boat was to small at least you didn`t sink it and ruin the new motor . The little boat you could probabaly put Pods on it but cut your losses and go with a bigger boat . Because by the time you put Two people at least one Dog all the Decoys , Guns , Shells and everything else = Bigger Boat Enjoyed it .
I'm not sure if I was laughing harder at Preston trying to pelvic thrust the boat out of the shallow water or Bob laughing at him 🤣😂😄 Seriously man you made my day with this one!!
Hi Bobby and Preston, not only is Preston good on the camera he's not a bad mechanic as well! With some help from you, we think you need a bigger boat for the engine, Bobby. You can't beat a Honda. It looked good on the deeper water but the arse end was too low!!! We hope you find a bigger boat that suits the engine's weight. Have fun, take care both of you Malc and Ann (England) UK xx
Look at xtreme boats out of florida. They can custom build just about anything for you. Virtually any hull style, length, bottom width, beam, metal thickness, you name it, they build it. They are built like the proverbial brick outhouse for very reasonable prices and quality that blows mass produced boats out of the water
Enjoyed the video ... enjoyed your friendship. I want to share something important with you from my personal experience. It's about that gas can you modified. I'm not going to bag on you for the modification, not at all. I have a Yamaha 660 Rhino with an 8 gallon internal tank. After two months, we learned that our adventurous nature exceeded 8 gallons. So I bought a 5 gallon auxiliary tank (manufactured the same as yours) to ride in the bed. After two trips in the desert, we filled up the main tank and the auxiliary from our RV pump station and headed out. Fortunately, not long after we headed out, and we were still close to the RV, the auxiliary tank split exactly in half and dumped gas in the bed, which is directly over the engine and exhaust. You see ... those auxiliary poly tanks are manufactured in 1/2 shells which are then electro-statically welded together. I had a secure mount, along with a 3/4 inch foam pad under the tank, however the vibration from operating the Rhino caused the tank halves to separate at the weld line. The vibration involved is not much and certainly less than in a boat. I went immediately and bought a one-piece heavy poly tank (5 gallons) which is (a) used to fill dirt bikes and ride in a trailer, and (b) translucent so you can see how much fuel is remaining. They sell them in sizes so I'm confident you can achieve your needs. I "truly recommend" that you abandon the use of that red tank as soon as possible.
I got a like from Bobby so imma ask you this Fair posted a thing that said Bux 8/3/21 is this a real thing and what is it bc that rly means a lot since I’ve been watching for years and he got married on my gmas anniversary and that will release on my birthday I can’t tell you how much I love your videos I would want to do a guide but I don’t have the money and I want to do it with my dad so it is a dream for myself to use your service
I have a 2015 Alumacraft 1436 Jon LT for sale with a 2019 shorelander trailer. I sold the 13 hp copperhead surface drive off of it which pushed 2 guys and gear about 20 mph. The boat weighs 135 lbs dry.
If this mud skipper surface drive ends up being too heavy for the boat you could try a PPF Longtail (super lightweight) or a backwater Longtail (slightly beefier than the PPF) both good options with the PPF being the lighter of the two. Also a 7hp copperhead or mud walker surface drive could be an option if it's lighter than the mud skipper
Bobby, I currently have a 1436 with the same 13 hp mudskipper. You will have to add flotation pods on the back, The motor will sit low on the water and you will swamp the boat when coming off plane. The motor has either a 16" or 20" intermediate you, will have to make sure the transom of the boat you put it on is the correct height for the motor otherwise you might have to purchase a jack plate to raise the motor to the correct height. This is why the little boat would not plane out. Hope this could be of help to you guys, good luck!
😂💀aha, hey bob if I had to recommend I would get a aluminum flat bottom I’ve got a 17 foot Jon boat and I’ve used it every season sense I was 5 years old and I’ve had no problem and it handles great when it’s real windy, love the content keep it up can’t wait to see the season videos again!!
Awe the I Don’t Give a Duck 🦆 had too much junk in the trunk and got backwashed on big water 🌊. I agree with you two that safety is of the utmost importance. I would still keep her, just get the motor fixed or find a great deal on a similar motor, even a trolling motor would work well in certain places and be quiet 🤫. The new motor deserves a new bigger flat bottom boat in that 14-16 foot range from one of the well regarded manufacturers like Lowes, Alumacraft, G3, Alumaweld and a couple others. You all could then put an A frame boat blind on it if you want to. I look forward to the next installment of this little series. 🦆🦆🦆
bobby get a 14'44" jon boat man for that mud motor, that fiberglass boat is going to hit a stump and leave you stranded even if you put a smaller motor on it.
Where are you putting your decoys? By the time you, Preston, and the motor are on/in the boat before you load decoys you will need to add floatation bags. That motor and drive are first class but too heavy for that boat.😊
Get a flat bottom with the performance flotation pods on the back I think beavertail does aftermarket but any welder can fabricate otherwise some come with them on and they help you stay up on plane with a load on the boat. They say it adds about 500lbs of flotation
You could ADD more weight in the front AND put a raised piece of rubber across the back to keep water coming in when stopping . Yeah you need a different boat. You CAN GET A SHORT TAIL 5or 6 hp motor !!
Best tip I can give you is to put the expensive can gas in it the last couple hunts. The alcohol in pump gas will kill the carb in months. $7.99 a can sucks but a $800 motor that you have ran 20 times in 3 years not running on your first hunt with the boys sucks more.
1:29 Free podcast ! don't know if that idea was mine alone, but I was one of them.YO HO ! (edited later) = Sorry but not in agreement with the subject of the podcast ( poor choice of subject in my opinion to gain viewers). In my opinion, water swatting is only for a wounded bird on the water. Your view is juxtapositioned to my idea of fair chase/fair game. Just my opinion, and I'll keep watching.
Bobby I used to run a 15 ft voyager modV boat. Really stable in the water and really lite weight. One guy can pick it up and move it. And I loved it in the marsh . Floats in literally 1 inch of water.
The bottom of the surface drive chain housing needs to be slightly above the bottom if the boat when trimmed all the way down. It below the bottom when the shaft is parallel, it would never run right on there
If you put some trim tabs on the transom, it’ll get on plane easier and the back will sit higher while the boats moving. I don’t think there’s space for any kind of pods.
I have that same set up and i put it on a 14x36 flat bottom and its way to heavy even for that. Get a 14-15 x 48 or 50. Mine is more functional than yalls but if you are going 15 mph and you have to stop suddenly the wake comes over the back and almost swamps it. I did not expect it to be that heavy
Build like parts on the sides with wood and pool noodles and seal the wood so it don't rot.. like catamarans then u can make something flat for gun cases
Public puddle jumper can be the name for the boat. And the reason the chain comes like that to keep it from falling down in the unit.and want to talk about a job then trying to get that chain out .
Watch a Free Episode of my podcast Blindtalk here!! bit.ly/2TSFCqK
The chain comes that way so it doesn't fall down in the case.
Surface drives need a half a blade in the water. Otherwise it won't get on plane. That motor needs to be raised 4-6 inches at the least
Bobby, you need a Lowe Jon Boat. They make all kinds of lengths and styles.
I’m about to get me one
Yeah! Pegged one for next year, easy to transport on roof rack!
Love'n that Honda motor. It'll be good to hear the year end review of that drive.
Alumaweld 15ft WaterFowler is an amazing boat! They are like $2400 new from academy.
this is what ol pdawg and i thought we might try
How about mud puddle flag ship
Cant wait for the public hunts with bobby this year its gonna be awesome 🦆✊🏻🤘🏻🙏🏼

Bobby one thing I recommend getting for the boat is float pods
I'm not sure if I was laughing harder at Preston trying to pelvic thrust the boat out of the shallow water or Bob laughing at him 🤣😂😄 Seriously man you made my day with this one!!

I can hear my old man saying it now "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should" lol. Love it guys. Keep up the good work
Is it just me or does anyone else get excited when Bobby posts
Ayyy me too
✋✋✋✋ me me me
who else ready for him to start making duck hunting/goose hunting videos?
It’s coming quickly
I am ready for it cause he is the best at it youtube wise
@@BobbyGuyFilms it is coming very quickly
If y’all don’t wanna drown I highly recommend finding a 14/36 john boat because with hunting gear a dog and 2 ppl that thing would sink
I recommend a 14/48 they’re a lot more stable
Keep that small boat put a electric motor on it use it for swamps or small dam duck shooting
I know it’s gonna be a good day when Bob posts

An extra wide 14ft'r, and you will be GOLDEN!!! I have one with a 25hp outboard on it, and it is SUPER stable, and hauls A$$!!!👍🤗🙏🙏🙏🙏
Y’all should call it the public punisher👍🏼
Looks like you fun regardless
I vote for the Public Mini Barge!!
LOOK AT GATOR TRAX MUD BOATS, they are awesome
Get u a 14ft alumacraft from academy will be perfect for that motor u can get one and a trailer for like 1300-1500
Man I cannot wait for winter!!
they make pods to mount on each side of the motor to help float the back end
Get a PPF for the duck skiff. Longtail 6.5hp.

lol I fell asleep right when you posted but I think you should call it the titanduc
A 14-15 foot boat would be perfect for that motor and two guys
Quackshyt she is! Bahaha sweet vid bob and diddy. Look forward to seeing the new flat bottom rig. Keep’em comin guys
More of a one man Bob
Nice looking motor! The boat was about to take off into space 😅
I have a 2015 Alumacraft 1436 Jon LT for sale with a 2019 shorelander trailer. I sold the 13 hp copperhead surface drive off of it which pushed 2 guys and gear about 20 mph. The boat weighs 135 lbs dry.
I love my long tail from mudskipper definitely was too big for the boat
1436 Jon boat would be perfect for what you and Diddy want to do
Also you can probably find one for 700 to 800 bucks just for the hull
i love the sticker on ur cooler at the beginning bobby
If this mud skipper surface drive ends up being too heavy for the boat you could try a PPF Longtail (super lightweight) or a backwater Longtail (slightly beefier than the PPF) both good options with the PPF being the lighter of the two. All made 3 made in America as well 🇺🇸

Carston bluebill!!! I think I actually owned that exact boat at one time 😂 I got rid of it because it was wayyyy to heavy
Need a bilge pump running off the battery too. Easy access switch too.
Float pods won’t work on this boat FYI for all the people referencing them
Teals are tasty 🤤
Yooooooo gets better everytime
😂😂
bobby get a 14'44" jon boat man for that mud motor, that fiberglass boat is going to hit a stump and leave you stranded even if you put a smaller motor on it.
Love them brother❤️❤️💯
I'd say a 16' flat bottom would be perfect for that motor. Fix the old motor and put it back on that one.
Can’t wait for the early teal videos
me too man
Where are you putting your decoys?
By the time you, Preston, and the motor are on/in the boat before you load decoys you will need to add floatation bags. That motor and drive are first class but too heavy for that boat.😊
Would love to see a Fred training video
You guys need to look into the PPF wood duck motor for that boat.
Get a 12ft Sun dolphin sportsman boat lol
I'm gonna build my flat bottom boat up for duck hunting , looking for ideas as far as motor
Look awesome
I like the name quack smacker so much
Love the vid
Ya need a 1436 tracker Jon boat and a stage 2 upgrade on the motor and you and pdiddy will be slidin through the marsh
Centrifugal clutch. Like a chainsaw.
Get a flat bottom with the performance flotation pods on the back I think beavertail does aftermarket but any welder can fabricate otherwise some come with them on and they help you stay up on plane with a load on the boat. They say it adds about 500lbs of flotation
Ur best bet would be a 1432 flat bottom. I run a 13hp on one and it's the perfect setup even when fully loaded
this is what we need
You could ADD more weight in the front AND put a raised piece of rubber across the back to keep water coming in when stopping . Yeah you need a different boat. You CAN GET A SHORT TAIL 5or 6 hp motor !!
How’s it going bob, I have the same exact motor (with long tail) and have it on a 14/36 flat bottom and it’s awesome, Boat handles it phenomenaly!
Is it to heavy ? I have the same boat and wanna get this motor in the surface drive?
Stick on some pontoons on the back end. That'll sort out your buoyancy and stability problems
Best tip I can give you is to put the expensive can gas in it the last couple hunts. The alcohol in pump gas will kill the carb in months. $7.99 a can sucks but a $800 motor that you have ran 20 times in 3 years not running on your first hunt with the boys sucks more.

Boat name...Double Duck! 2 guys ode to Roadhouse bar double deuce😂
Bobby I used to run a 15 ft voyager modV boat. Really stable in the water and really lite weight. One guy can pick it up and move it. And I loved it in the marsh . Floats in literally 1 inch of water.
I tried to find a voyager 15 on the web. Can you give me more details. I'm interested in a small light weight boat similar to Bobby's.
The bottom of the surface drive chain housing needs to be slightly above the bottom if the boat when trimmed all the way down. It below the bottom when the shaft is parallel, it would never run right on there
The public prowler
Look at a PPF mud motor. Light weight long tail and you can up the HP with the stage 2 hop up. Definitely won’t sink the boat with that motor
I told you so. But, now you’ll have even better boat !
Bob I would go with a low Jon boat I have one they are great
If you could attach a couple of float pods on the back of that little boat it may help keep the back up especially with a full load
get the little float things you can get put on the back of the boat
Bobby I’m from Delaware but I got a 1448 flat bottom, on trailer. You take me and a buddy on a hunt I’ll drive it out and you can have it!
Spray foam should help.give u more float or build some pool noodles you need more buoyancy
Maybe do a video of adding floatation pods and testing how much buoyancy they really add
B-"I'll call em dogs I don't know"
P- "yeah"
LOL
You just need a 6.5 hp longtail
If you put some trim tabs on the transom, it’ll get on plane easier and the back will sit higher while the boats moving. I don’t think there’s space for any kind of pods.
Should have went with swamp runner!
Should’ve gone with the PREDATOR !!!
One idea could be to put boat pods on the back end to hold up that weight from the motor
When are camo DUX hoodies coming back?
I have that same set up and i put it on a 14x36 flat bottom and its way to heavy even for that. Get a 14-15 x 48 or 50. Mine is more functional than yalls but if you are going 15 mph and you have to stop suddenly the wake comes over the back and almost swamps it. I did not expect it to be that heavy
Put pods on it
The MillenniumFOWLcan.
The ol’ “Public Punisher”
Find you and alumacraft waterfowler I have one in a 1546 with a 23 horse vanguard on it and I love it
WWM- waterfowl widow maker
Well.. you tried boys xD Time to get a bigger boat
Ótimo dá pra curtir legal
Build like parts on the sides with wood and pool noodles and seal the wood so it don't rot.. like catamarans then u can make something flat for gun cases
It will be a great fall Bobby
yes indeed
Public puddle jumper can be the name for the boat. And the reason the chain comes like that to keep it from falling down in the unit.and want to talk about a job then trying to get that chain out .
6.5hp copperhead mudmotor. Done:)
That gas can. A half inch hole and a tire valve. Take out the insides of the valve. Instant vent.
Hey man harbor freight predators are damn Near as good as Hondas trust me I've tested it.
And a harbor freight add just showed up on your video 😂
